one thing i love about midnights is how it spans basically taylor’s entire life - from childhood trauma and insecurities to girlhood to first heartbreaks to her other relationships to her fame and also her current relationship with joe. her other albums felt largely confined to the things that had happened in the time between albums, so it’s super interesting to get an insight into what taylor thinks about things that have happened yearssss ago

So we’ve all investigated the possibility of TS7 being called “Kaleidoscope”, as it represents a “tube containing mirrors and pieces of coloured glass whose reflections produce changing patterns” which is exactly what we see in the video; but also a group of butterflies which we also see in the music video!
