using violence to liberate people from sweatshops, unsafe mines, and grinding poverty isn't the same as using violence to impose those things on people. the idea that violence is morally repugnant regardless of context is a belief that every oppressor throughout history would love for the oppressed to hold
academic dishonesty is not something you can spin as moral lol i do not want to share a career field let alone a social sphere with a bunch of chatgpt using ass bitches
"you're just scared your diploma is going to devalue" i'm afraid you dumb bitches are going to become my colleagues and drag social services to hell
I'm afraid they'll become scientists and data that lives depend on will turn out to be wrong - and people will die.
I'm afraid they'll become engineers and sign off on bridge designs that collapse - and people will die.
I'm afraid they'll become medical professionals who don't know what they're doing - and people will die.
The assumption that academic dishonesty is okay is rooted in the idea that what you're learning to do doesn't matter.

teachers are ment to help you get better but then doo this.Â
i have literally had a teacher when asked what they mean say “i dont know”. re-read the whole thing still didn’t know. an actual note would help. i just wrote a whole essay, it may not be the best but it cant be better unless u actually help.
this always make me so made.Â
does American gods have a point?
so if you have read the book then you will understand that the worship of gods brings them into existence in a place.Â
I know Neil Gaiman didn’t want it to be taken seriously, but i think the thought is interesting, that in a place a god is worshipped they have power and as long as they have a large religious following they can still influence the environment, but as soon as they fall out of the public beliefs, they lose their power but still exist.Â
my main question if someone is to believe this theological idea, that belief is powerful enough to create powerful beings, should people in “new countries” like Australia, USA, Peru and other additions to European maps worship European gods, and old-world gods that are not indigenous to the land.
as someone from Australia, I want more thought on, what gods i should worship as a witch/non-christian/pagan? and which ones would be best for influence in a previous non-European dominate country?
this post is for a discussion and equality of religions.
another similar question related to this thought, would it be ethical for a non-indigenous person to worship indigenous gods in areas that have issues with colonisation and cultural erasure/appropriation Â
A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions). Â
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

How about instead we get rid of the nazi, pedos, rape/abuse facilators and necrophilia. They are a lot worst than just porn, we could get rid of the worst, then porn okay.
Warning for Fantastic beast 2

how the hell is credence Dumbledore’s brother?
Dumbledore was born 1881, which means he is 46 during the movie. When he was 10 his father went to jail for killing muggles. His father then died in Azkaban in 1890. Credence was born between 1907 - 1908. Nearly 20 years after Dumbledore father died so, how is credence Dumbledores brother? The math doesn't add up.Â
Dumbledore is also the transfiguration professor not the defence against dark arts professor.Â
how is it that there are Lestranges loyal to Dumbledore in the 90′s when Leta Lestrange died 1927, is there another branch of Lestrange. I know Bellatrix married Rudolph and became a Lestrange but how is he related to Leta Lestrange. Cos all of them got killed off in the 20′s according to the new movie.Â
Headcanon: The Marauders’ handwriting
James: changes very often. One day, he circles the top of the i, the next day he dots it, and the next after that he doesn’t put anything above the i at all. Some characteristics of cursive lettering is always present in James’ handwriting, and it always stays in the same generic size, but otherwise, you never know what to expect. It could be super neat and tidy, but just as often it is the exact opposite. It is on such an extreme level that during his first year/s at Hogwarts, some professors wouldn’t believe that James had actually written the essay he handed in, because the handwriting was nothing like what they’d seen from him before. In the later years of his time at Hogwarts, however, both the teachers and his friends could recognize his handwriting, even when it was of a variation they had never seen before. They learned to recognize the things that never changed.Â
Sirius: extremely neat and tidy, almost painfully so. Each letter is evenly high and wide, perfectly spaced, and Sirius hates it. His mother taught both him and Regulus to write this way, because according her it was the pureblood way to write. She would beat them if their letters ever were not evenly spaced or sized, and even though Sirius tried to alter his hand-writing after running away, he still writes the way his mother taught him. It was too ingrained into his brain to change, and he still winces - expecting a strike - every time he messes up when writing.Â
Remus: barely readable to anyone but himself. He is always in such a rush to write everything down that it all just muddles into an illegible scribble. The other marauders like to argue that the only reason for Remus’ good grades is that the teachers don’t want to admit that they can’t read his hand-writing so they just give him Outstanding. However, since Remus is so thorough in his school work, not wanting to disappoint Dumbledore, he reads through all his papers before handing them in. In doing so, he notices the words that are just a bit too unreadable and changes it, making it just legible enough. (I also like to think that when he gets older, he either finds or invents a spell to make his hand-writing more legible with magic)
Peter: Very spiky, almost annoyed looking. Peter never enjoyed learning to write, and therefore he didn’t put much effort into it, but when he came to Hogwarts and saw his friends (specifically Sirius’ and James’) handwriting, he got kind of embarrassed, because his own was so messy. So he started putting more effort into each letter he wrote out, trying to make it more tidy looking, but he never really succeeded. He also uses a lot of pressure when writing, so much that his quill sometimes tears up the paper.Â
Constantly changing writing like you suggest James, most likely means he has dysgraphia. A conditions which main side effect is no steady hand writing font .

personal post: I don’t have a lot of guilt or shame associated with being bi except my birthday is on bisexual awareness day (23rd of September) and this year I completely forgot bi awareness day was coming up despite running, ya know, a blog about bisexuality. So little bit of guilt associated with that whoops.
