This is my first time being payed to draw a tattoo and I feel like the things I have found online are too much.
The person Iâm giving this too wants it to be about 6x6 and colored. It isnât too complex of a drawing but I donât know what I should be asking for in a price.
I donât know if people will actually read this, but if you are please help me out. Iâm not very knowledgeable when it comes to the topics of depression, anxiety, suicide, etc.
I have noticed that when I make a mistake or make someone upset the first thing that I think of is âI should just leave now. I donât deserve to live after I did that.â I shake the thought away but it echos in my head and then after that comes âwhyâd I think that?â
The two best examples were both recent.
I accidentally drove illegally, it wasnât safe and got in trouble with my school for it. I felt terrible that I forgot that rule and I wasnât allowed to drive to school for 2 weeks, but I could still pick up my sister from the elementary school. That day driving home and back every tree, building and other car I passed the thought came up. âYou could run into that car and your guilt/misery would be over.â âYou wouldnât be beating yourself up if you were dead.â And it was just there.
The next one was a couple days ago. I was frustrated with some homework and things that happened earlier that day. My boyfriend was trying to cheer me up over face time while I was cutting vegetables. He had just had an amazing day and he doesnât have them often. No matter what he said I couldnât shake the frustration and would find something else to complain about. After a while I tired out his optimism and he went numb. The phone fell and hung up so I called him back and noticed his whole attitude changed. I tried to convince him that he was really helping me, but he knew that wasnât true and felt upset because he couldnât help me. I felt terrible and the sudden urge/thought to tell him I am sorry and slit my throat with the knife I was holding right in front of him. My throat hurt like I actually did it. Later that night he told me that I scared him because I never get mad. I started crying, I desperately wanted to tell him what happened. The thoughts that have crossed my mind, how much they scared me. How much it scared me that something was wrong with me. I didnât. I didnât want him to worry and feel worse when he had such a good day, or only try to get attention...
Even when I was little I have had these thoughts. I WAS 5! when I would get in trouble from my parents instead of most kids âIâm gonna run away!â Mine was âIâm gonna kill myself.â
I know there are people on here that know and experienced sucidal thoughts. I want to know if these are just intrusive thoughts that I donât need to worry about, or if itâs a good thing I am worried about this.
I have never told anyone... I get scared that Iâm only doing it for attention, Iâll worry the people around me, and that people wonât treat me the same. I want to go to the therapist, but I donât want to tell my parents why I want/need to go.
Iâm not looking for sympathy or âLikes/Reblogsâ. I need to know if I actually need to tell people about this and go to a therapist.
I saw many people tweeted that Chloe is not deserved the threatment she received in the show (i.e being her miraculous taken from her, being bashed, etc), she helps lb selflessly only for lb to take her only way to redeem herself, to show she can be better person and the only reason why she's treated badly is because Thomas hate her, that's why he refused to give her a redemption arc and instead keep calling her a villain. What do you think of it? And what do you think of Chloe as a character?
Iâll come off clean right away. I too believed in ChloĂŠ. I too hoped for her to get better and gave her a chance. Was I disappointed by the turn she took? Yes. Just like Ladybug and Chat Noir too were disappointed Iâm sure. Was I surprised by this development though? No.Â
It all comes down to 3 things that lead ChloĂŠâs development to this result.
ChloĂŠâs traits and motivations.Â
What the Bee Miraculous represented to ChloĂŠ
ChloĂŠâs trust toward Ladybug
Letâs go back to the beginning of ChloĂŠâs development. Despair Bear. ChloĂŠ is forced to make an effort and be nicer otherwise she will lose Adrienâs friendship.
ChloĂŠ : How can [Adrien] do this to me, Jean-Michel?
She doesnât understand why she has this ultimatum. She isnât reflecting on her actions. She just want Adrien to be her friend again. With the help of her butler though, ChloĂŠ works her way through. Itâs a bumpy road and she obviously doesnât like doing this. At. All. She always questions the point of this nice action or that other one, but she forces herself only not to lose Adrienâs friendship which obviously means a lot to her, but she finds this whole experience is annoying.
During the Akuma attack though, she does rescue Ladybug from being Catalysmed by a Chat Noir controlled by Despair Bear, but what does ChloĂŠ say immediately after she has realized she had been actually helpful for once?
LB : Thanks, ChloĂŠ
ChloĂŠ : Hey! I was really nice just then! Did you see? No?
She boasts about her actions, wanting people to notice her. The whole audience doing the Anime Fall⢠illustrates that boasting about being nice defeat the initial purpose. Doing nice actions should be because it is the right and natural thing to do, not to expect glory and reward afterward, even if ChloÊ instinctively wanted to protect someone she deeply idolizes.
After helping Ladybug out to defeat Despair Bear, ChloĂŠ realizes there are some benefits to being nice, yes, but what does ChloĂŠ do after showing she is capable of making an effort and secured back Adrienâs friendship? She sighs of relief, a burden lift out of her shoulders, and reverts back to her usual self.
Now I know people will say âItâs just to maintain the statu quoâ. But when you look back at this episode after Miracle Queen or even after Miraculer, you realize Despair Bear had a lesson in it that concerns people like ChloĂŠ. That is they can make an effort to be nicer and can sometimes be helpful but if they donât want to become a better person, to be kinder to others, then they wonât change.
Over S2, we see ChloĂŠ under a new light. She isnât just a spoiled rich bully. She is human too. When she is hurt, she hurts back. Marinette -- and by extension the viewers -- learns to see that side of ChloĂŠ and empathizes with her. But while it explains it, her snobbish, mean and entitled attitude still isnât acceptable. Not when living in society.Â
But ChloĂŠ does make some some progress through S2. Small. But still, progress. Like during Zombizou, where ChloĂŠ admits for the first time her actions has hurt people.
Or the end of Queen Wasp where ChloĂŠ finally accepts to give back the Bee Miraculous she had found to Ladybug, admitting she had been irresponsible with how to use that power.Â
Or during Malediktator, when ChloĂŠ opens up to Ladybug, telling her the truth and how useless she feels.
That was a start. ChloĂŠ showed us she was capable of doing that when renouncing or not expecting to have a Miraculous. However, after Queen Bee is officially recognized as one of Ladybugâs allies, something else happened.Â
After actually saving Paris during Malediktaor, ChloĂŠ got a party celebrating Queen Bee, celebrating her.
Marinette was trying to do some positive reinforcement to encourage ChloĂŠ.
Marinette : Well, she did save Paris, so... maybe she just may be able to save herself too, am I right? [...] If she feels like she can be useful, Iâm sure sheâll change her attitude.
â[ChloĂŠ] just may be able to save herselfâ
It isnât Ladybugâs responsibility to change ChloĂŠ so she could become a better person, but ChloĂŠâs. Ladybug can help her a bit, by showing support and guiding her, but it is ultimately ChloĂŠ who has to work on herself in order to save herself AKA to begin redeeming herself if she wants to. Like how ChloĂŠ desired to save her dad and fix her mistake. However, ChloĂŠâs secret identity being publicly known has jeopardized that process.Â
Look at the ending of Malediktator. ChloĂŠ has a party but instead of taking pics with her and the crowd, or with people she cherishes or is thankful about, what do we get?Â
A selfie of her with her with no one else around her posted on her social media, showing us her self-centred image.Â
This behaviour repeats itself during Heroes Day as well. Everyone has prepared a nice action for the day and what was ChloĂŠâs? Accepting to sign autographs since now she is a superhero.Â
And at the end of the finale, yes, she is included in the group picnic, but how is she staged on the set?
She sits on a lounge chair, not directly touching the ground where everybody else is sitting. She refuses to eat home-made meals, preferring fancy sushis. And finally, she has her butler break apart her chopsticks for her, without even politely asking him by looking him in the eyes.
What does this scene tells the audience compare to the scene where ChloĂŠ is dismantling her Bee âLairâ without any help at the end of Malediktator, telling her butler sheâll do it because she has to do this herself. (Translation : I have to fix that error of mine myselfâ).
As S2 concluded, since Queen Bee is now officially oneâs of Ladybug superhero teammates and that everyone knows QB is ChloĂŠ, she feels above everyone else, refusing to sit at the same level as them. She still doesnât care about othersâ feelings. She expects people to serve her. Even her âbenevolentâ action of signing autographs for Heroes Day revolved more around herself than acutally helping others.Â
This is where ChloĂŠâs character stands. This is what she values. Herself. Her needs. She feels morally superior. She has ascended to greater heights. She acts entitled because Ladybug has trusted her with a Miraculous once or twice. And it is this attitude ChloĂŠ never tries to fix and that has lead her to her descent.Â
The people who are mad about ChloĂŠâs development throughout S3 often misinterpret the real reason why ChloĂŠ constantly wanted to be Queen Bee to begin with. What the Bee Miraculous truly represented to her.Â
ChloĂŠ didnât want to be a superhero because she wanted to help them nor was it because she felt bad about how awful she had been to everyone in general and wanted to make amends. ChloĂŠ didnât need a Miraculous for that. She could have accomplished that progress simply as a civilian if she had wanted to.Â
It wasnât because ChloĂŠ still had something to prove to her mother either. That was settled at the end of Queen Wasp. Her mother had acknowledged her and was staying in Paris, with her. Audrey finally gave the recognition ChloĂŠ longed for. (Though I admit âyou are exceptionally mean like your motherâ is a shitty reason, but hey! At least ChloĂŠ got her motherâs attention and love now, so little yeah...?) And in Malediktator, we see Audrey taking ChloĂŠâs side, agreeing they should leave for New York together.
As for wanting to be loved by others, ChloĂŠ has already the affection and attention from other people such as her butler, Sabrina, Ms Bustier, and even her father who overly spoils her, satisfying every of ChloĂŠâs desires. They were there for her even before she got her hand on a Miraculous. And it wasnât because ChloĂŠ wanted the power to protect the people she cared about either nor was it her symbol for a second chance.
No, ChloĂŠ only cared about herself and the reason why she wanted to be Queen Bee everytime she could is because, to her, having a Miraculous means you are part of the elites.Â
Miraculous Holders are chosen ones. Litterally! There are only a few select of them. They get to be famous, glorified, celebrated (Heroes Day). They get movies made about them (Animaestro). They get to be on the news, interviewed. To have their image show everywhere. To have fans. To be adulated, respected, listened to. They are exceptional. Superior.Â
And this isnât new with ChloĂŠ. Ever since S1, fame and status has always been a motivator for her to do things. To be exceptional. Not just to be seen by her mother (though it started it like that), but for everyone to see it.Â
In fact, when there is an Akuma attack, is ChloĂŠ helping others around her or is she abandoning everyone and heading straight to light her bee signal while buzzing with excitement? Does she stay steady just in case Ladybug needs her or is she expecting Ladybug to ask for QBâs help every time? Is ChloĂŠ resilient about QB not being needed all the time or frustrated to sit on the bench? What does ChloĂŠ do to fix this? Does she give herself a purpose as a civilian or does she cling even more to Ladybug to bring her the Bee Miraculous?
Basically when ChloĂŠ is offering her help, in reality, she just want to be a superhero for the glory of it rather than actually caring for or helping people around her.Â
When ChloĂŠ asks for âherâ Miraculous and constantly clinging for Ladybug to give it to her, it means she only sees value when she is Queen Bee. And when Queen Bee wants to be reliable to Ladybug or fears to disappoint her idol, ultimately, ChloĂŠ wants to not screw her chances to be Queen Bee again.Â
Thus, yes, Queen Bee does her part when battling Akumas, but does ChloÊ actually grow as a person after Malediktator events? Did ChloÊ work on herself? Does she continue reflecting on her actions? Does ChloÊ even sometimes try to help her classmates with their normal problems or is she resting on her laurels? How does she treat others in general? Did ChloÊ truly become kinder or humbler or did she instead got the big head and still is rude to them? Does she views herself as a normal person or as a superior being? If you are unsure about any of the answers, just rewatch Startrain.
ChloĂŠ just stops improving because she took her Miraculous for granted. She is an hero recognized by Paris and therefore deserve the hero treatment and doesnât need to continue to work on herself.Â
Sure, ChloĂŠ isnât provoking as much akumatization as in S1 and S2, but she didnât become better either by receiving a Miraculous. In fact, she is even more condescending. She is Queen Bee, she is a superhero thus she is better than you, peasants!
ChloĂŠ : In this world, there are those who work and those who shine. Forever there would be this division between us, Dupain-Cheng.
And this mentality contributed to ChloĂŠâs sense of entitlement to the Bee Miraculous, calling it hers and expecting to have it back as if it was her rightful right. Except Miraculouses belong to no one as illustrated by the Turtle Miraculous who gets shared between Master Fu and Nino. And initially, LB wanted to hand over the Bee Miraculous to Alya because LB needed help and Alya had already trusted with another Miraculous before.Â
Anyway, during Heroes Day, it was part of Scarlet Mothâs plan to use the Bourgeois against Queen Bee. To destabilize her and it worked. And if he could do it once, he could attempt something again.
And this is what motivated Ladybug to be careful and ideally not give back a Miraculous to anyone whoâs secret identity is known by Hawkmoth. And for the record, yes, ChloĂŠ is the first one truly affected by that rule, but she isnât the only one through S3.
This decision is made by LB with CNâs approval because they wanted to protect ChloĂŠ and her loved ones from HM. And unbestknown to them, their doubts were found as ChloĂŠ was being watched over by HM and Mayura.
So it wasnât because Queen Bee was doing a poor job, nor because ChloĂŠ's attitude was getting worse. This was done to protect her. Except they couldnât protect ChloĂŠ from herself.Â
Yes, Ladybug did a mistake which is to not inform ChloĂŠ of this decision earlier. As a result, in Miraculer, ChloĂŠ felt ignored. Rena Rouge and Carapace were often called to help while ChloĂŠ was standing there waiting next to her bee signal.Â
But even if LB had told ChloĂŠ sooner, chances are the result would have been mostly the same. Because ChloĂŠ has an inaptitude to let go of things she desires.
After learning the truth, ChloĂŠ was clearly not satisfied by this decision. And while ChloĂŠ cooperates and hands back the Bee Miraculous, she is in denial.
ChloĂŠ : I understand, but Iâm sure you will need me again, Ladybug. I know that I will be Queen Bee again someday. Iâll always be Queen Bee.
What allowed ChloĂŠ to not be akumatized during Miraculer was precisely because she still had faith in Ladybug then, despite being mad at her. She is still convinced LB would come ask for Queen Beeâs help again. But after that revelation, once Ladybug has left, ChloĂŠ tears apart the picture she had hold on to the entire episode.Â
By S3 finale, we see ChloĂŠ never accepted the reality of ever be Queen Bee again. And since the finale theme revolved about loss, well, it was time for her to be confronted to it.
We all agree that Hawkmoth exploited the situation during Heart Hunter. He planned the Akumatization of AndrĂŠ and Audrey Bourgeois. Nathalie was on place to sabotage of the Bee Signal. And finally, they planned to find the Guardian to get the Miracle Box and offer the Bee Miraculous to have ChloĂŠ on their side.Â
Everything was there to manipulate ChloĂŠ, play with her emotions in order to turn her against Ladybug. But keep in mind that during that scene where HM is meeting ChloĂŠ, everything he says rings true to ChloĂŠ because this is what she internally feels. What he did was only amplifying the feelings ChloĂŠ already has since Miraculer and even a bit before that.
ChloĂŠ felt ignored, rejected, not allowed to be a superhero, to be a Queen. When ChloĂŠ answers Ladybug has done nothing for her, we know itâs not true. Ladybug gave her a second chance. We also know Ladybug is avoiding to give ChloĂŠ a Miraculous because she is trying to protect her and her loved ones from HM. ChloĂŠ knows that since the end of Miraculers events, however when her loved ones are indeed in danger during Heart Hunter, ChloĂŠ expected this would be THE occasion to be Queen Bee again and prove Ladybug wrong by helping Ladybug save her parents.Â
Now, Ladybug has been distracted and didnât think of things clearly and yes, there is a chance that on other circumstances she might have picked the Bee Miraculous to give it to ChloĂŠ, but there is also the fact ChloĂŠ kept repeating the same mistake.Â
We have seen through S3 ChloĂŠ is constantly building her expectations up, only to set herself for disappointement. And instead of realizing that about herself, especially after Miraculer, she continues doing that and gets angry and put the blame on others. The only one making ChloĂŠ wait is ChloĂŠ herself. All the other temporary Holders have other things to occupy themselves and they do what they can as civilians, not expecting LB to come and give them a Miraculous.Â
But ChloĂŠâs entitlement to the Bee Miraculous clouds her judgment there and now, HM is there is offering ChloĂŠ something Ladybug has denied to give her again.
So, ChloĂŠ prefered being Queen Bee over doing the right thing. She had the chance to double cross HM, but she didnât because of how hurt and furious she was at Ladybug. And even after being deakumatized, that angers and feeling of betrayal persist.
And this is where ChloĂŠâs action matters the most here. ChloĂŠ not only tries to be reakumatized by choice again, she blantantly explains she isnât on Ladybugâs side anymore, doesnât care if HM who terrorizes Paris is the ennemy, that she will keep the Miracle Box for herself. ChloĂŠ also rudly orders the Kwamis around without knowing how it works. She even tries to run away with the new Miracle Box and finally, when everything is falling appart and doesnât go her own way, ChloĂŠ throws at tantrum at Ladybug, insulting her and the other temporary Holders and affirm she will leave with the Bee Miraculous to New York.
Even HM who laughs at this at first, commenting he doesnât need to do anything, that ChloĂŠ is one of the bad guys, eventually is disappointed before leaving her behind.
Ladybug? She tries to reason with ChloĂŠ, giving her another chance to fix her mistake like at the end of Queen Wasp. When ChloĂŠ is putting all the remaining Miraculous of the Box on her, LB asks to stop because she knows how dangerous it is to combine their powers and still doesnât want ChloĂŠ to get hurt. Itâs only after ChloĂŠ tries to run off with the new Miracle Box that Ladybug stops her. And when ChloĂŠ is done talking, LB has no choice to stop this and take back herself the Bee Miraculous from her, even apologizing for doing this.
Ladybug has been very patient. She knows ChloĂŠ. She knows she is hurt and is hurting other because thatâs how she copes, but Ladybug cannot let ChloĂŠ keep that Miraculous. Heck, she even feel sorry for ChloĂŠ when she finally leaves.Â
Is that truly the face someone who is satisfy with this result? This wasnât what Ladybug had hoped for ChloĂŠ either.
If, through S3, it was no oneâs fault for the Bee Miraculous to not be given to ChloĂŠ, her being destituted of the Bee Miraculous at the end of S3 was the consequences of ChloĂŠâs own actions and her refusal to change. And all of this could have been prevented if ChloĂŠ didnât become entitled to the Bee Miraculous, if ChloĂŠ had found another purpose AS A CIVILIAN rather than to depend on the prestige of her Queen Bee persona
This isnât the end though. It only means ChloĂŠ has more work to do about herself. And that giving ChloĂŠ a Miraculous isnât the solution to improve her.Â
Ok but legit the funniest part of this is that the cat just knows what heâs about to do before his tongue is even out. Heâs done this more than once. A lot more.
I love it when other people use Bible verses to make a point! (I'm not being sarcastic by the way, I just donât know how to word it better đ ) It makes them well rounded and seems to show that they do a lot of research and not only listen to what they hear. I always applaud those people đ
But... The problem with using a Bible as evidence is that most times (I've noticed) that people don't look at the whole section and just pick and choose what they want to use as evidence. This Gentlemen right here did the same thing I am sad to report. Even though he was just making the point that you can't pick and choose... That is what he did.
I'm not trying to hate, so please hear me out before you start scrolling past this, hating on it, cussing me out, Ect.
In Ephesians 5, he skips right to 22. The section on âInstruction to Christian Householdsâ starts at 21. Verse 21 states, "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ" (NIV). It's not a one way relationship. Ephesians 5:22-24 how to submit to your husband, Ephesians 5:25-33 explains how the man is to submit to his wife! https://www.bible.com/bible/1/eph.5.21-33.kjv 3 verses to the ladies and 8 for the men. It mentions that women to respect her man and for the men to love their women like they love God. Men and women have a hard time respecting one another. The wife talks to their friends about how she wished she married that other boy in high school and gossiping about their husband, while the husband tells his friends that she is a bitch and ruins all his fun. You married them because you loved them; love is not throwing poison at the other while their back is turned.
Now for the second verse, he uses. He gets that from Exodus 22:16-17. I have heard this verse spreading around on the internet, but never looked at it myself. I finally did today using my NIV Bible, and it reads, â if a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged toe married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife.â Interesting. No word of rape... I looked at other versions and they all said the same relative thing. The only one I could find that was close to ârapeâ was the LLX and BBE from this source: https://www.biblestudytools.com/exodus/22-16-compare.html They didn't use the word rape (If you find me the version that says rape, plz tell me! I want to see it and not give bad information). Every verse is implying that both parties agreed on the intercourse (by multiple versions of the Bible). And that after that happens, the man must take the virgin as his wife! It did not say anything about cutting her price in half and selling her to anyone who would take her! The man that took her virginity had to be responsible for taking her as a wife. The title right above that verse is âSocial Responsibilityâ in my NIV Bible.
I'm glad he is using the Bible to back himself up! He just didn't look to far into it.... Which he told us Christians not to do... I know that most of everyone does it, but that's because we are humans and make mistakes too. And God knows that, but loves us anyway.
Shit like this used to make me angry but now it just makes me deeply sad.
Purity culture isnât just about sex. It also extends to an intense preoccupation with everything you do and everything you watch and every piece of media you consume. This website is STILL full of articles about âquestions christians should ask before reading/watching somethingâ and âhow to glorify God with your media consumptionâ and so on.
The questions include things like âIs there swearing/sex?â But also âDo the characters exemplify Godly principles in their character?â and âWhat emotions does it make you feel?â For the last one, an example was given about a hypothetical character feeling disappointment and jealousy that a guy she was interested in didnât like her back. If you sympathize with that character, from this point of view, itâs degenerating your character. Even feeling the wrong emotions about a story is a sin. Thereâs also an article about how you shouldnât listen to sad/angry music when youâre sad/angry, or turn to music at all to help yourself deal with emotions because thatâs âreplacingâ a role God should play with music.
Teens are also advised to control their media consumption simply because focusing on or enjoying anything that isnât God is wasting your time at best. In the comments sections of one of these articles a person was expressing guilt because he liked music âfor the beatâ instead of for any transcendent, Godly reason. Enjoyment of a thing that doesnât connect back ultimately to God is a sin because youâre âworshippingâ something other than God. âDoes this music glorify God or does it glorify something else?â You canât enjoy nature unless you think about how itâs beauty connects to God. You canât love yourself without deriving your self love from your relationship with God.
Thereâs also a very strong thread of the idea that you can be âtaintedâ by reading, watching, or hearing something that has Wrong Things in it. Watching a movie with a sex scene or swearing in it changes you in a way you can never get back. It takes away your âinnocence.â
Ironically, though, probably nothing Iâve read or consumed has ever done more damage to me than things on this very website. It had a profoundly awful effect on my mental health and sexuality and made me feel like absolute shit. Even then I recognized that some of it was batshit crazyâthere was this entire article one time this teenage boy wrote about how he got a new haircut (like, a completely normal haircut, like, his hair was just a little bit fluffy or something??) and he felt so bad about it because he felt it didnât âglorify Godâ that he shaved it offâbut some of that shit just dug itself deeply into my psyche.
But on some level itâs bitterly hilarious how all the other articles on this website seem to boil down to âHow do I stop struggling with guilt?â and âWhy are Christians seen as so intolerant and irrelevant?â
Actually, no itâs not. Itâs just sad. Because these are teenagers that think struggling with guilt is just a fundamental part of life, and donât realize that most people donât plunge into immobilizing feelings of worthlessness every time they make a mistake or do shit like pray to God to kill them because they have sexual desires. Many of the behaviors they discuss are on the obsessive-compulsive side of things and many of these kids would do well to learn what Pure OCD is and also to leave their shitty fucking church
The Best Birth Control In The World Is For Men by Jon Clinkenbeard
If I were going to describe the perfect contraceptive, it would go something like this: no babies, no latex, no daily pill to remember, no hormones to interfere with mood or sex drive, no negative health effects whatsoever, and 100 percent effectiveness. The funny thing is, something like that currently exists.
The procedure called RISUG in India (reversible inhibition of sperm under guidance) takes about 15 minutes with a doctor, is effective after about three days, and lasts for 10 or more yearsâŚ
Oh, and when you do decide you want those babies, it only takes one other injection of water and baking soda to flush out the gel, and within two to three months, youâve got all your healthy sperm again.
The trouble is, most people donât even know this exists. And if men only need one super-cheap shot every 10 years or more, thatâs not something that gets big pharmaceutical companies all fired up, because theyâll make zero money on it (even if it might have the side benefit of, you know, destroying HIV).
Okay as a fifth year education major in a wheelchair who is constantly around very curious kids and very paranoid parents, this is single-handedly the greatest video I have ever seen!
thatâs what Iâm always saying: kids, especially young kids, donât need every detail explained to them. generally speaking, they will accept what a trusted adult tells them. so if you tell them âyeah, sometimes, people lose their legsâ, they will just accept that. I mean, they accept a woman with wings breaking into their room while they sleep to buy their teeth from them, but somehow, parents think âyeah, people that are different from you existâ is too much of a concept for them to grasp

Yeah, see, THIS is a trigger. Something that prompts a horrible flashback that makes someone go into a literal panic attack. It is NOT something that makes you slightly uncomfortable, so can we all just stop tossing that word around like itâs nothing.
Also, can we talk about how Felix dealt with it? He NEVER used that word again (only once in front of Ralph, never by her), there was never any talk about how she could get over it, and in their wedding they all made plans to help her with her paranoia by recognising her fears and showing she was safe by pointing guns at the window and having extra security.
A++++++ on dealing with mental issues magnificently, Wreck-It Ralph!
Itâs worth noting that in addition to this being impossible at the current rate of education funding, school budgets are on the chopping block like they always are anytime the economy takes a dip. Governor Kemp has asked educational institutions in Georgia to prepare for a 14% cut to budgets. Of course, those cuts have to pass in the state legislature.
Find out if schools are facing similar cut in your state and call your reps to speak up for education.
This isnât going to work in America. At least not in any but the most high-income areas.Â
1) Desks to be six feet apart: there are 30+ kids in each class - how big do you thik these classrooms are? Thereâs no way. So we either have to decrease the class size (which we canât do because then weâd need to hire teachers and they wonât pay for that) or just leave the desks where they are.
2) High-touch surfaces sanitized regularly: again. 30+ people per class. is there a full time teachers aid or nurse whoâs going to be properly sanitizing the door, the chalkboard/whiteboard, the pencil sharpener, the toys, the bookshelves, the bathroom doors, the sinks, the water fountains? No, because theyâd have to pay them. So now we have students being put in charge of this and - theyâre kids. Theyâll forget, get busy, not bother. Some of them are too little to be trusted with cleansers and sanitizers, so now itâs on the teacher to sanitize everything constantly all day in an unending cycle which means when the heck are they going to find the time to teach? Itâs going to fall by the wayside and get done sporadically.
3) wearing masks: great. Some people donât have masks because they canât find them/afford them. Youâre supposed to replace the mask every time you take it off, which means kids need multiple masks per day. This doesnât cover the problem of people who will find the masks uncomfortable and fuss with them, the fact that little kids will get messy, touch their mask, take their masks off. Is the school supplying masks to teachers and students? No, because then theyâd have to pay for it. And this doesnât cover the fact that there are hard of hearing people who use lip reading, etc.
4) Go back to remote learning if thereâs another flare up: bitch the first one hasnât even stopped yet and you assholes want to open up the schools again? Are you prepared to give every student in your school a computer and reliable internet? No? Then your remote learning is BULLSHIT and youâre leaving poor kids behind.Â
And what about the halls between classes? During lunch? Recess? Sure you can make adjustments, but are you letting the kids in the front door one at a time? How are the buses working? Are you adding more buses so the kids arenât sitting on top of each other? Are you hiring extra nurses so they can do temperature checks? Are you supplying copious amounts of hand sanitizer so each kid can have it to use in between hand washings? No? You cutting budgets so there will be even less health and safety measures than there was to begin with?
And obviously all the first people to be laid off when the cuts roll in are gonna be the âextraneousâ staff⌠you know, parapros, nurses and counselors, and janitors.
Any time Iâve lived with kids, Iâve gotten sick 6-8 times a year over the course of flu/cold season. Last winter I donât think I got sick once. Schools are crowded and kids suck at washing their hands.
So even though it rarely kills kids, thereâs nothing stopping kids from from bringing it home and killing their older or more vulnerable family members.
⌠And I just realized that there are probably going to be parents who tell their kids not to wear masks, or to take their mask off when they get to school, because theyâve decided the pandemic is a Liberal Hoax. *sigh*
Kids are gonna end up with their desks in the hallway if this happens. A whole other wave of coronavirus is more than likely gonna come as a result. Kids share drinks and food and all that even when teachers tell them not to. And kids have ways of sneaking that stuff in (I know cuz I used to do it), so thereâs really no way to ensure they arenât sharing things and touching the same drinks or anything.
Honestly, as much as it upsets me to know that these kids wouldnât be getting their usual education, I say keep the kids at home and keep doing distance learning until this all blows over.
Itâs just a bad idea all around. Distance learning keeps everyone safer.
My aunt who works with a school board believes that the reason all the regulations are put up is because they know schools won't be able to do this. They only want kids who can not work at home to come to the schools, or preferably none at all. They don't want schools to open up, which is why they put up these impossible regulations.
People, please be careful. There are also people tracking children and people and putting bids on them based on their profile pictures on whatsapp, tracking and kidnapping them. Especially young children, so please be cautious, especially parents who have their children as their profile pictures.
Please pass this on to everyone so that they are aware of the danger. I donât how it is all around the world but I know it canât just be here so please please spread the word. Thank you.
