Low key you can blame my aunt for this art as she bought me Jean themed perfume for my birthday and it inspired me to work on this piece again for the first time since october 😂

What I love about The Sunshine Court and Jean Moreau specifically is we go into it with these snippets of these characters and we think we know what this story is going to be. Another classic "the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine one" and while that's certainly not untrue, it's not entirely true. Because here's the thing. Jean Moreau is soft. Not just for Jeremy.

Jean doesn't know Cody, but he sees them looking uncomfortable and makes sure they're safe. He calls Josiah to make sure Zane is safe after Colleen's death.He worries about Lyle after hearing about his breakdown. Cat is the first person he asks about anything personal. He lets Tanner follow him around and teaches the freshman extra drills because they look at him like he is the sun. He loves his sister. He braids Laila's hair and kisses Cat's temple.

Jean is soft even though he was never allowed to be. But now he is.

I just enjoy the fact that Jean's insults towards Neil are almost always of French origin: cretin, imbecile, rascal, malcontent, menace. If he's going to insult his misplaced forever partner, it's going to be in respectable language, thank you very much

cannot get over how canonically hot jean is. he’s french, 6’2” with an athletic build, and has a previously broken nose. black hair and gray eyes and an accent to die for. knows three languages. rides a motorcycle. cooks and cleans and enjoys it. would kill for the people he cares about. isn’t afraid to get rude but also gets weak in the knees the second that you’re kind to him. my god he’s so effing hot.

Kevin caught hold of his face with both hands, forcing Jean to look at him when Jean tried to turn away.
