why is it a throbber
im fucking mad i dont want anything throbbing on my website
everybody body goes on and on about the eroticism of the machine until something in your computer starts throbbing and now its "gross" and "weird". grow up, live a little.
“Terf is a slur used to silence us” dang bitch I wish it worked shut the fuck up
they hate me because i'm silly and so intense at the same time
Has this been done yet
sometimes you just need to listen to the same song for an entire week to truly heal
There’s a lot of depictions of the abduction of Ganymede and they all tend to treat him very weirdly but I guess that’s par for the course when it comes to abducted mortals in art. Also none of them give the poor man any clothes.
There's this one woman on Instagram who claims she finds all of her bones in the woods, but very obviously buys them and plants them there so she can shoot artsy foraging videos and it's so funny to me. You did not find ten perfectly cleaned mink skulls in suburban Ohio. You bought them on Wish and rubbed some dirt on them.
Right? Like, tread with caution in yonder woods lest ye be caught by THE DEGREASER.
When researching primary sources for Egyptian mythology you will find little to no "Stories"
A lot of our surviving information is like spellbooks and guides for the dead that have a lot of references to different stories in them. So if you want like... a story, you're either gonna have to piece that together yourself or just look up a secondary source to enjoy the work of someone else that's already done it.
Like imagine trying to piece together the contents of the bible just from christian mommy blogs and memorials written in newspapers. Some of our most complete sources for things like the Osiris death myth come from Greek sources in fact because the Egyptians had a taboo against talking about bad things so they weren't likely to write it down. So what did the Greek writers add in after the fact? Good question!
Anyways,
Side note, but there are many many regional versions of the Egyptian creation myth but my favorite one is where there's a primordial egg layed by a goose called the Great Cackler. Though the version where Nun created the first gods because he was lonely in the primordial void and wanted company is also very sweet.
reverse gaslighting where i pretend to know exactly what you are talking about
academic conferences
Work meetings
Interviews
Auditory processing disorder
conversations with my cats who are yelling
Me letting that little kid with their hyper fixation tell me every single fact they know about it

So piecing together Christianity from mommy blogs and VeggieTales then
Not really because Veggietales was made by people who follow the religion. More like those internet posts where atheists claim that Christians believe in literal talking snakes.
sorry for documenting my suffering and delusions online do you still think im hot
i hate when a poem is good. Fuck you for saying that for real
In other news, I’ve started saying “well that’s showbiz babey!!!” in an obnoxious voice to myself every time I start thinking too hard about shitty stuff that happened to me in the past and it has a 90% success rate in making my brain go “hm well I suppose that IS showbiz” and stop dwelling on whatever it is.
Works best if I imagine myself wearing shades and a tacky outfit while holding a cigar and sitting in an office with my feet up on a table.
the craziest thing about being alive is that you have to live with other people’s interpretations of you
