People portray APH America as a stupid and fat kid, but remember that:

- As stated by Himaruya, he has a body of a highschool jock.

- He has a habit of sticking his nose into other people’s business which makes it difficult for him to make friends.

-  He is also known for not being aware of how “the atmosphere” is when he is around others (which, at one point, he was told to read it), but it has been noted that it is not that he lacks the ability to “assess the situation”, he simply chooses not to.

- But, on multiple occasions it has been shown that, when calm or serious, America can become very logical, reading further into things than he usually would, and actually reading the atmosphere.

- His hobbies include quick-draw, archaeology, adventures, sports, [video]games, and making movies

- He has at least 238 weaknesses, one of those being Dora The Explorer

- He has a Mustang, a remodeled Caprice, a 1955 Thunderbird, and a DeLorean modeled after the car in the movie Back to the Future.

- he is jealous of all of the kids in his country that get presents from their fathers

- According to Prussia, America swims very quickly, like a shark.

- He was trained under Prussia for the Revolutionary War

Julie Andrews' new children's show features a gender-neutral character

"If pressed we'd say she's a girl, but maybe not forever."

Julie Andrews has a new children’s television series on Netflix called Julie’s Greenroom where she teaches a group of puppet children known as “greenies” about the performing arts. If that wasn’t already good enough news for you, one of the show’s characters is gender-neutral. 

The students are racially diverse and include Hank, a piano-playing prodigy who uses a wheelchair and Riley, who is gender-neutral.

“If pressed we’d say she’s a girl, but maybe not forever,” said Andrews’ daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, who created the show with her mother. “We wanted to be diverse as possible.”

Aside from the greenies the series will feature celebrity guest stars such as Tituss Burgess, Chris Colfer, Idina Menzel and Carol Burnett.

“This project represents the fulfillment of a long held dream to educate children about the wonder of the arts,” Andrews said in a statement announcing the show.

…so, I don’t know if that was an intentional pun, but let it be known that in french ‘Jean’ and ‘gens’ are pronounced the same. Jean is, as we known, a common first name. ‘Gens’ means ‘people.’ So when you say ‘ah oui, les Jeans’ it comes out ‘oh yes, the people’ which is possibly the most Symbolic pun you could make.
