I can also be commissioned in parts, ie commission a sketch now, and then be paid to finish it later. The first commission price will be subtracted from the later commission price! Only applies to the same art piece.

Fursuit Parts: I have fur, I have some foam, and I have a whole lotta stuffing! Items won't be the highest quality, but I also won't charge you outta house and home for it! Payment is expected after completion of the items but before shipment is made. If needed, I may ask for some payment up front to pay for materials I may not have on hand.

Paws: $60! Lined and patterned by yours truly, I'll just need some measurements and I'll get you a pair! Queue: None.

Tails: $20-$60! These suckers aren't a tricky thing at all! Hand sewn and patterned, the price will be dependent on size and pattern complexity, but they're a great way to start off your fursuiting desires! Queue: 1, Empty. 2, Empty. 3, Empty. End Queue.

Heads: $120-$260! A custom built head starting with hand carved foam and ending with hand sewn and shaven fur, it can be yours for a decent price! No bases used, with 2D or 3D hand painted eye options, will come lined with neck fur. Price dependent on pattern and head shape complexity. For heads that are super detailed and complex, with a lot of delicate shapes to be carved, I will recommend going elsewhere first. Queue: 1, chaos-ghost3. End Queue.

Let me settle the 'is it fetishism and is it bad?' debate once and for all:

Being attracted to any kind of body is normal. Fat bodies. Trans bodies. Disabled bodies. All normal. Being extra attracted to a specific kind of body is normal too. Totally normal to have a type.

Not unlearning the societal stigma attached to those kinds of bodies, the people who inhabit those bodies, and the people who fuck them, to the point where you do any of the following:

Only want to date/fuck the person in secret.

Reduce the person to the feature that you desire and ignore the rest of who they are as a person.

Expect the person to be a walking porn fantasy instead of a real person with their own sexual preferences and boundaries.

Would no longer love the person if the stigmatized aspect of their body changed.

Consider yourself superior to the person, think the person should be 'grateful' that you love their body, etc.

See the person as a temporary adventure while planning to eventually settle down with someone whose body isn't stigmatized.

Is bad and harmful and you shouldn't be dating anyone until you've worked on your shit, because this makes you a very terrible partner. This doesn't mean you are a bad person with bad-fetishist-desires who can only desire people badly, it means you need to unlearn societal stigma so you can be a better partner to the people you desire.

I love kink but liking a type of body is NOT kinky and it sure as hell isn't freaky. It's regular human-to-human attraction. It's as vanilla as it gets.

I was wondering if you had any knowledge on, or were willing to make a post asking about merch companies (think Vograce or Wooacry) that do well with printing deep skin tones? I've been wanting to print keychains of a character I like but I'm a bit worried about the color contrast not turning out right since printers can be finicky and not everyone rly knows how 2 adjust color balance for darker skin tones. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration !!

Hi! I've used both MelodyCharms and Vograce (Vograce had a better turn around time), and both seemed pretty good with colour reproduction!

Photos don't do them full justice (and I'm limited by tumblr with how many pics I can include lol), they are more saturated and lovely in person, but as far as I can tell the colour reproduction between my art and the charms is pretty close. I think you'll be fine with these and darker skintones! Just keep in mind that they'll likely be more saturated than your art, but this is (imo) good, that way you don't end up with colours that looked great on screen but turned out muddy once it got to the ink stage.

You could always order a sample for yourself - MelodyCharms allows you to buy a single charm at a time, and I think so does Vograce. I normally use Vograce but the lowest number of copies of one design I've purchased is 2, but that's still really cost effective if you're unsure!

TL;DR I've used Vograce and MelodyCharms, they had the same reproduction values, but I prefer Vograce just for their production times. 10/10 would recommend, and should be okay with reproducing dark skintones!

The FBI cut the phone lines during the 1977 disability rights sit-in. Then they turned off the hot water.

They locked the doors from the outside. One hundred and fifty people were trapped on the fourth floor. Half of them used wheelchairs. The government assumed they would leave.

Kitty Cone was thirty-three. She had muscular dystrophy. Her muscles were failing, but her logistics were flawless. She knew how to organize people.

The federal government had promised to sign regulations protecting disabled Americans from discrimination. The policy was known as Section 504. They printed the promise on paper. Then they stalled. Without a signature, it was just typography.

The protesters entered the regional Health, Education, and Welfare building in San Francisco on a Tuesday morning. They took the elevators to the director's office. They brought sleeping bags and catheters. They informed the staff they were not leaving until the law was signed.

By sunset, the police surrounded the exits. Kitty sat near the windows. She organized the floor plan. She assigned committees for security and sanitation. She kept her medication in a small cooler.

According to federal memorandums released decades later, the strategy to end the occupation relied on medical attrition. The building was not equipped for long-term habitation. The FBI calculated that a population requiring ventilators, specialized diets, and daily medical aides would voluntarily evacuate if the environment became sufficiently hostile. They instituted a blockade.

The blockade went into effect immediately. No food deliveries allowed. No medical supplies permitted through the lobby. Guards stood at the main doors checking identification.

Kitty's muscles deteriorated faster under the physical strain. She couldn't walk. When the phone lines went dead, the fourth floor lost contact with the press. The government waited for the quiet.

Kitty dropped to the floor. She realized the barricades were designed for standing adults. The police had blocked the hallways at waist height. They hadn't blocked the linoleum.

The floors were covered in cigarette ash and spilled coffee. She dragged her body through it. She crawled under the barricades to reach the restricted elevator shafts and unguarded offices.

She carried notes in her pockets. She found a single working payphone the FBI missed. She called the local news desks. She called the mayor's office.

She crawled back. When her arms failed, someone pulled her by her ankles. The Black Panthers heard the news reports. They crossed the police lines with hot meals. The FBI could not stop them without a riot.

They shut off the elevators, so she crawled.

The occupation lasted twenty-five days. It remains the longest non-violent occupation of a federal building in American history. On April 28, the Secretary of HEW signed the regulations without a single alteration.

The protesters left the building the next morning. They went back to their apartments. The Rehabilitation Act regulations laid the groundwork for every accessibility law that followed. The HEW building still stands on United Nations Plaza. The elevators run on a schedule. The doors are heavy glass.

Gold Star Studios, Los Angeles, 1964. A woman in a cardigan walks past the receptionist, a Fender Precision bass in her hand like a briefcase. She doesn’t sign autographs. She signs a timesheet.

Her name is Carol Kaye. In three hours, she will record what will become the most-played track of the twentieth century. She’ll pocket fifty-five dollars and head to another studio, on the other side of town, for the next session.

The record label will never put her name on the album.

Between 1957 and 1973, Carol Kaye took part in roughly 10,000 recording sessions. Not as the featured artist, not as a guest, but as a hired hand. She was part of an anonymous collective nicknamed The Wrecking Crew—elite studio musicians who actually played the instruments on your favorite records while the famous bands posed for promotional photos.

The work was relentless. Three albums before the day was over. Stale coffee in paper cups. No rehearsal. The charts arrived minutes before the tape rolled. If you couldn’t read a chart and nail the take in two tries, you didn’t get called for the next session.

Carol could do it on the first try.

She started playing guitar in grimy bars at fourteen because her family couldn’t pay the electric bill. Music wasn’t a romantic dream for her. It was survival. It was a job—factory work with better acoustics and lower pay.

But she was faster and sharper than almost everyone else. She corrected charts in pencil while the producer was still explaining what he wanted. In one session in 1968, she told a famous producer his arrangement sounded like a dying dog. She chose her own line. They kept her version.

That descending bass line that drives the Beach Boys’ “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”? Carol Kaye. The propulsive groove of “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’”? Carol Kaye. The acoustic-guitar intro to “La Bamba”? Carol Kaye. The iconic theme from Mission: Impossible? Carol Kaye.

She invented techniques on the spot, out of sheer necessity. When the bass sound was too muddy for AM radio, she stuck felt under the strings and used a hard pick instead of her fingers. The tone cut through the static like a blade. It became the sonic signature that defined 1960s pop.

Bassists spent years—decades—trying to crack the secret of the Beach Boys’ gear to get that sound. They were studying the wrong people. They should have been studying Carol.

She received no royalties. No residuals. No gold-record ceremony. No credit on the album sleeves. When “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” hit number one, Carol was already back in a studio cutting a soap jingle.

The biggest bands mimed her bass lines on TV variety shows. New York marketing departments decided a mom in classic clothes didn’t fit the rebellious-youth image they were selling. So they simply left her name off the album credits.

For thirty years, almost no one cared. The truth only began to surface in the late 1990s, when music researchers found the same union contract numbers on thousands of hit records. The very documents meant to preserve studio musicians’ anonymity betrayed them.

Think about it. Every time you heard “Good Vibrations,” “River Deep – Mountain High,” the Righteous Brothers, Nancy Sinatra, or Sonny and Cher, you were hearing Carol Kaye. She composed the soundtrack of an entire generation’s youth.

And yet the records still say nothing. She’s now over eighty. She wrote instructional books. She trained countless bassists. She is finally starting to be recognized by music historians who uncovered the truth about The Wrecking Crew.

But she never got what she deserved: her name on those albums. Credit for the music that defined an era. Recognition that those bass lines everyone associates with the “Beach Boys” were, in fact, Carol Kaye’s.

Fifty-five dollars a session. Ten thousand sessions. The most-played track of the twentieth century.

And the world didn’t know her name.

i got banned from using both gendered restrooms in school, let me explain:

i am not out to my parents, but everyone at school was chill so freshman year i thought “i can use the guys since i am in no real danger”.

my state apparently has a ban on transgender students using restrooms of their preferred gender, so my english teacher the next year ratted me out and said it was “for my own safety” (it was not).

the next week was a nightmare since i had to use the women’s restroom and i would get verbally (and almost physically once) assaulted by girls telling me that i shouldn’t be there since i’m a guy and things like that (there are two other trans guys at my school and they didn’t deal with that somehow, but they are openly out. i’m pretty stealth).

i was reported a few times and the staff had to make a compromise, so now i am only allowed to use two restrooms in my large school. i can use the nurses restroom and the front office restroom. my school also has a stupid time limit on when you’re out to go, and since it usually takes me said time limit to even walk there, i have also gotten in trouble for that too.

as much as i joke about it with friends, i am genuinely burnt out as i cannot do anything about this since i can’t really come out (my parents aren’t bigots, they’re just a big old fashioned and think i’m a butch).

I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area they’ve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record I’m fine with

But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. when a government bans young people from using social media, and then categorises messenger apps like Signal and WhatsApp as "social media", they are pushing those young people toward using text messages, a fundamentally insecure form of communication. texts are not encrypted in transit and can be read by both the sender's mobile carrier and the recipient's. that also means they can be leaked in data breaches, subpoenaed, or just handed over willingly to law enforcement at the carriers' discretion.
