That Would Be Rude

All of my blog posts are true and have happened to, or were witnessed by me: I am an assistant Casting Director in my 20's. Raised in the country, living in the city. I have three siblings (Bad Sarah, Geoff, and Molly) an eccentric Dad who is an actor, and a quiet intelligent Mom. My Dad had 9 siblings and my Mom had 3, so I have about 50 cousins who pop up in my blog a lot. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada.

"Gagging."

I have an abnormally strong gag reflex, I guess. I even went to the Doctor about it once, he said it was psychological.  Molly and Geoff also gag really easily.  We gag when we're tired, we gag when we're really hungry, we gag when we're really full, we gag as we're sobbing, we gag when we're too hot, we gag at noises and smells, textures and tastes, and sometimes sights.  Mushy bananas, eggplant, custard, mayo, the noise of spaghetti being twirled in sauce- I'm practically gagging while thinking about them. When we were kids Geoff had a friend that smacked his mouth a lot when he ate.  It made Geoff gag so much that this friend was rarely invited to stay for meals.  The one time that I can remember him having dinner with us, we were eating spaghetti.  That is a double combo of disgusting noises- so Geoff banished him to the basement where he could smack his lips to his heart's content. If one of our cats barfs, I will gag even if Zan cleans it up and I'm nowhere near it. So generally Zan can tell when there's cat barf somewhere by the noise of me gagging in the next room.

Two recent things that have made me gag?

-while eating breakfast at the Ardmore, this girl had her bare feet on her boyfriend's lap. He was rubbing them while he ate his eggs.

-Somebody posted a link on facebook about this cookbook called "Natural Harvest"- all semen based recipes.  I gagged when I saw it, and I just gagged while I typed that. I considered deleting her from facebook.

This is sure to come up in future comics, and has come up in past ones, so just know that we can't help it. It's psychological.
