I know this is old at this point but I just have to let you know that this is kind of what happened to lead to the final breakdown of this project.
See, the mods expressly encouraged people to pitch Daniel/Armand for the zine, in spite of Armand being 15-17 when he was turned. When confronted with this being the canon, they used the excuse that he's portrayed as an adult in the series, as he's played by an adult actor. (They also said that they'd never read The Vampire Armand so they didn't know that he was turned underage, but I'm pretty sure it comes up in Interview, which they claimed to have read.)
They implied that they would prefer to exclude Claudia in her entirety, because the character is a minor, but would allow content featuring her in the context of "a family portrait" or something like that. This is in spite of that character also being played by an adult in the new series, which was their excuse for Armand. (It's a shitty excuse, but the double-standard is pretty glaring.)
Oh, and they also encouraged Louis/Lestat, with a specific note that the abuse in their relationship and the racism element that was introduced in the new series would be allowed "with careful review."
It was a wild ride, but in the end their absolutely bonkers rules alienated literally everyone and the project collapsed.
