Absolutely OBSESSED with the way Arakawa drew the Riza vs Lust scene

It's GENIUS. It's so unlike Riza Hawkeye to lose her cool and the way Arakawa drew it perfectly portrayed just how incredibly upset Riza was at the thought of Roy being dead. The gunshots and her screams fill the pages, to the point that even though they're printed, they're almost deafening. The contrast between those pages and the ones before hits hard.

Then the few calm panels as the anger passes and the realization sets in...and finally the tears and absolute defeat on her face.

I may have spent half an hour just admiring this scene. Art-wise it's my absolute favorite in the manga so far.

The raw emotion is so impactful.

a girl i know used to be really stuck-up, but recently she’s been calling people out on casual homophobia, educating herself on many different social issues, raising awareness to important things, and showing solidarity to me, the class gay kid, on the sexualisation of lesbians. she did a presentation on black lives matter and told us what we could do to help dismantle white supremancy, and is slowly becoming an activist.
