my wpbl dream is that before the end of the season we'll see a shutout and/or no-hitter like sure yeah offense is generally more exciting but i just love a strong pitching and defensive game!! and i think those have been getting better as we go on so please!!!

Waves

A series of 20 small knitted art pieces made in handspun silk (all) and wool (some), depicting some of the various textures moving water surfaces can have. These pieces are small, the knitting varying from 2 1/4 x 3 3/8 to 2 1/2 × 3 1/2 inch, the black cards are 4×6 inch. I am very proud of this series and happy with how it turned out ♥️

WIP Wed: #mybirds! (and friends)

Bird cowl going along well! I am through the double cuff and 10/80 rows through my chart. Starting to look like they could be birds. Should have plenty of yarn, which is a relief. (Of course I'll then need to figure out what to do with the rest.) Very fun - I haven't done much colorwork and it's nice to do something different. And on needles that aren't tiny!

"Road Trip" socks going. I knit one whole row on the road trip, so now they mostly live in my car to be worked on when I have a spare moment in said car. (I did a lot during emissions testing.) I'll reach the heel turn someday.

I've also been working on assembling a photo book of Alaska photos, except instead of being straightforward and using a template I can drag and drop photos into I have decided to design all the pages from scratch. Why? Nostalgia for my high school yearbook page design days I guess. And because I didn't like the templates much. Will the results be actually better than just using a template? Who knows! Possibly not. But I am having fun overdesigning this and getting funky with it while I watch my baseball streams so we keep going. I think this is the only spread I can post that doesn't dox me lol - after I get all the pictures roughly placed I'll go back with gridlines and get everything nice and precise and consistently spaced... I'll cut off the workflow discussion now (long!) but it's been oddly satisfying figuring it out.
