working full time is terrible why do we just accept that having 8 days off a month is normal and okay........ being alive could be cool but we waste it at our JOBS.... sorry i’m just heated about capitalism again i’ll be fine

This seems really whiny to me. Like, I agree with you, work sucks, but our ancestors didn’t get to browse tumblr at their desks or have the option to gleefully spend their ENTIRE WEEKENDS horizontal on the couch stuffing their faces/watching tv/playing video games/wacking off. They didn’t have weekends. They just slaved away as fucking peasants from dawn to dusk until they died in childbirth or got the consumption.
I am perfectly happy working 8 hrs a day because I don’t have to:
grow my own food
find my own clean water
heat my house
shit in the woods
Hi, I study social and cultural anthropology. Humans working 40+ hours a week is 100% an industrial revolution thing and was not normal in the early stages of our existence. In fact, hunter and gatherer societies that still exist to this day spend about 15-20 hours a week TOPS working. The rest is dedicated to sitting around and telling stories and jokes, dancing, singing, eating, sleeping, fucking and so forth. Read a damn book.

It’s been 84 years but I finally finished October’s charm design! (So sorry for the delay, this month has been… yeah T_T) This design actually started off quite differently; I originally had a Dr. Frankenstein & The Monster concept in mind, where Ignis was Dr. Frankenstein and Titan was his monster. But I’ve been playing a lot of Animal Crossing lately and my avatar has been sporting ghostly skin and red eyes since the Halloween update dropped, so I couldn’t help but think the look would be cute on Ignis as well. At the very least, Titan’s Frankenstein cap is a carryover from that original idea.
The Vampire Ignis design proved to be quite popular over on Twitter, so much so that I went ahead and placed a small order for solo Vamp!Iggy charms. They won’t have any of the fancy clasps or gemstones of the regular merch club swag, but they’ll be a little bit cheaper and might be a good option for anyone who hasn’t kept up with the Ignis Monthly Merch Club this year. All of these items will be available to order on October 17th @ 1:00pm (PST), so mark those calendars! ٩( ᐛ )و

海上生明月，天涯共此时。 The moon, grown full now over the sea, brightening the whole of heaven.
情人怨遥夜，竟夕起相思。 Brings to separated hearts, the long thoughtfulness of night.
灭烛怜光满，披衣觉露滋。 It is no darker though I blow out my candle, it is no warmer though I put on my coat.
不堪盈手赠，还寝梦佳期。 So I leave my message with the moon, and turn to my bed, hoping for dreams.
“Looking At The Moon And Thinking Of One Far Away” (望月怀远) by another Tang poet, Zhang Jiu Ling (张九龄, 675-740 AD). This poem was written when the poet Zhang Jiu Ling was demoted. It expresses the feelings that he missed his family or lovers at a full-moon night. Above the ocean, the bright full-moon rises slowly, the poet wished his family or lovers far away were sharing this moment together with him.
