Hi there!

I just created this blog (30/05/2026) because I wanna talk about miraculous, and I didn't feel like talking about it under my main blog @theplagueunderyoursink was the best thing to do, because then it would just become a MLB blog and I didn't want that. Dividi Et Impera I guess (tho I am not conquering anything).

Things you need to know about me:

I don't really take this kids show seriously because it's a kids show. I sound pissed when talking about it because I use it as a way to blow some steam off on petty things to be able to control myself when IRL things are going bad. So I really am pissed and tired at it, but it's better than being pissed and tired around the people that surround me. I apologize for any toxicity in advance, I can be pretty harsh when it comes to this.

I have very strong opinions on Chloé Bourgeois (like all of the fandom I guess) and I really think that the writers screwed over an abuse victim because she was becoming more interesting than Marinette. If you agree with Astruc you are wrong and I will die on this hill. She's not even my favorite character (even tho I quote her a lot), that would be Nathaniel, so maybe I'll change my name to The Capriblog. Who knows.

I don't hate Marinette, I actually quite am fond of her and I think she is a morally grey character with both good and bad things about her. I hate how she's written through the show and how she's painted as either a saint or as the worst person ever by the fandom. She does some fucked up things, it's undeniable, but she is also ultimately well-meaning and she is also 14 so she is gonna fuck up here and there. All of the blame on her wrongdoings as a superhero is on Fu in my opinion because what the fuck do you mean you chose two teenagers who have to also recharge after using their powers to be the heroes of Paris? You are literally ASKING to lose.

I am making a Miraculous tabletop rpg game based on the d6 (similar to pokérole), so maybe one day I'll drop the manual here (tho I am writing it in Italian since me and my friends are Italian living in Italy so maybe some words won't be like how they are in the show in the English dub,I do see the show in English more than I see it in Italian tho.)

I completely despise just one character in this show and it's Zoé Lee. It has become a running gag to me to censor her name so most of the time I'll write it "Z*é", yes this is blatantly copied by Elsa Fogen censoring Lucifer from HH's name, but I'm not taking credit for me and seeing her actual name actually pisses me off a bit so it helps a little when I have to rant about her.

I assure you that I love wasting time arguing about a cartoon with minors. That's what I am in the fandom for. So do not try to play the "don't you have anything better to do than arguing with kids on the internet?" Card against me because I love this shit.

Don't expect me to post regularly or at all. Maybe this post will already be the last. I am fully controlled by my emotions and have no self control whatsoever.

If I ever make a fancomic or write fanfiction (VERY unlikely) you'll find it in this post. Again, this is unlikely, don't expect anything.

Hey little question. Astruc said some time ago that Jesus was a miraculous holder in the Miraculous universe, tho he didn't specify which (probably the rooster).

Some of my friends think that's a bit offensive or bad taste but personally I don't, I think that if your world has a different set of gods (Kwamis) it makes sense that our figures would be different. This doesn't necessarily take away Jesus' divinity, and here is the question:

Was The Virgin Mary a holder of the Peacock miraculous? And Jesus a senti? She is associated with blue and depicted as wearing a blue veil, and she gave birth while still being a virgin, something that would be entirely possible with the Peacock miraculous, as we have seen Tomoe just touching her stomach area to conceive Kagami. The Angel could just be Duusuu (in his revealed form???), and Jesus being able to come back to life could be her doing. The Peacock is also associated with eternal life, resurrection, and beauty (in certain cultures virgin equals beauty I think but I might be misremembering) so it would fit.

I mean, Mary could just be behind every miracle Jesus ever made because she created him to be able to do them. Astruc should have confirmed Mary to ba a holder, it makes too much sense (at least in my head)

I don't know if I'll be exploring this anymore because I would like to make a comic (or rather a series of small comics that would depict some moments that I think would fit most) out of this (is it considerable an AU?) But I never did it, I am not a writer, I take a lot of time to draw even one single character and I wouldn't know where to start to make a comic. Don't expect anything from me, but I am thinking about it. And between a part and the other, months could pass if I ever decide to work on it. Most probably I'll design Mary with the miraculous of the peacock and maybe even Jesus with the miraculous of the rooster (if you think about it they would both be birds and that's really nice since they are mother and son) (HOLY SHIT, THEY ARE BIRDS JUST LIKE THE DOVE OF PEACE I AM SO COOKING WITH THIS)

When Mary put the little senti-Jesus into her womb she then gave up the miraculous, and at Jesus' birth the three wise men who came to greet the son of (a) God were three guardians of the miraculous who came to get back the peacock miraculous and leave for little Jesus the rooster miraculous (along with Gold and Frankincense to make their lives a bit easier)!

Gold to recognize him as king

Frankincense to recognize his divine origins

Myrrh is to symbolize him being human and a mortal (or to foreshadow the pain he will go through) > the rooster symbolizes rebirth (one has to die to be reborn) and the miraculous is a reminder that without it, he is as human as any other person despite being a senti (canonically, human-shaped sentis are the same as other humans except for their object of control, but maybe Mary would send it with the three wise men to protect it and so that nobody could use it idk)

Also, I think it would be cool if "the devil" Was someone who stole the miraculous of the snake and fox, and Mary was the one to take back the snake (since she is depicted stepping on a snake) and Jesus was the one to take back the fox (during the desert thing where the devil asked him to bow to him and showed him all the cities in the world) (he could also have the butterfly since IIRC there are some instances of the devil possessing someone and Jesus helping them but 1 I am not sure and 2 I really don't want the butterfly to be the villain again, let Nooroo have one win in his life)

Hey so if for whatever of your MLB fanworks you need a battle song or a contemplative song you should use the songs from Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity. The main theme (which is also a recurring leitmotif) is practically the same as MLB's.

For a contemplative/solemn/sad theme we have the various versions of "Overlooking Hyrule"

And for light fights (or I guess it works for anxious ones too, do whatever you want i'm not the boss of you) we have the training theme in Maz Koshia's shrine (iirc) "meditative training"

(I have no idea if these are actually the right one because I can't listen to them right now but I'll try to fix it if they are wrong or they don't play)

The game should have a few of these (all of the "Overlooking Hyrule" Variations are the main theme, the one during calamity is really slow tho so it's not instantly noticeable) since it's the main leitmotif, some are subtle and in the background, some are more obvious like the ones I put here. Some are not really fitting with the tone of Miraculous but still, even having just these two is useful imo

Let's make another episode where Marinette stands up to Chloé! And calls her ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! To her face! Let's make at least 1 per season! Make it a tradition! Let's rehearse the same lines over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over!

The most annoying thing about Miraculous writing and Thomas Astruc is that they make seasons that are saturated with filler episodes, complain about not having time to explore things and then tell you on Twitter or Bluesky vital information that should have been told in the episodes (and that a casual watcher or someone who doesn't want to enter the pits of hell that is Twitter such as me, could even not run into.)

The first 3 seasons don't really have this problem, because the only arc that was going on was Chloé's redemption arc and it went pretty smoothly apart from the finale where she gets replaced by whatever that thing is. And Fu's backstory was revealed too, and it was even done nicely, they first teasered it in S1, then in Sandboy we learn that one of his mistakes led to the temple being destroyed, and at last in Feast we get the full story (even if I think that he should have died in the S3 finale, but that's a writing choice I can get behind). The only bad thing about those seasons was Lila, we still don't know anything about her, what she wants, what her relationship is with Tomoe, why the fuck characters lose any kind of characterization around her and believe the worst lies I've ever heard of, but that could have been fixed giving her more screen time. Even the new miraculers were a good addition, their powers (except for King Monkey) were balanced, and they were given reasons to have miraculous: either to save themselves (Ryuko, Viperion, King Monkey) or somebody they care about (Rena Rouge, Carapace, Pegasus) with Chloe being an outlier and having found the Bee miraculous by chance (and getting to keep it after helping with Malediktor).

There are 19 miraculous, with Ladybug, Black Cat, Fox, Turtle, Dragon, Snake, Butterfly, Peacock, Horse, Monkey and Bunny not being handed out in this season. That makes 11 holders already introduced (or more precisely not to introduce this season) and 8 more to go (and to introduce in s4 because in s5 they can't give them the miraculous since Monarch has them)

9 episodes I can remember had any relevancy towards the plot (I didn't count Dearest Family because Hawkmoth could have used any other episode to break the magical charms). There are 26-9=17 episodes to actually flesh out these other 8 heroes. Let's make it 10 because they had to introduce Z*é and giving her a miraculous in the same episode she debuts is indeed a bad idea. Instead, we had

Sole Crusher (introducing Z*é)

Queen Banana (Vesperia)

Mega Leech (Polymouse)

Guiltrip (Pigella)

Crocoduel (Purple Tigress)

Penalteam (Caprikid, Rooster Bold, Minotaurox, Miss Hound)

... Why are there 6 out of the 10 episodes they needed? Oh, because they gave 4 FUCKING HEROES THE SAME EPISODE TO DEBUT IN? AND THEY AREN'T EVEN INVOLVED PERSONALLY IN THE SITUATION APART FROM MISS HOUND? good, alright, then I hope these 11 episodes are at least important to some degree. Let's see.

Psychomedian (shit episode, useless, introduces an annoying character that should be important since he knows Gabriel since he was Gabriel Grassette but we never see him again. The episode is unfunny and they give the whole fight to Ladybug despite her being affected by the villain. Filler)

Furious Fu (introduces another useless character. Wether Su Han is in the story or not, it changes nothing because he is in so little episodes, that we have seen him for a total of 3 iirc. He brings up a fair point of Ladybug breaking the rules of the Guardians but he doesn't give us any lore about them)

Optigami (actually enjoyable, shows some good thinking from Hawkmoth and (mainly) Nathalie, but sidelines Chat Noir again. Which should be a theme of this season but they never actually resolve it.)

Sentibubbler (also enjoyable, if Rena hiding wasn't completely useless it would also be important for the plot, but she gets discovered in 3 episodes and she doesn't really play a big part. Wether she stays hidden or not, nothing changes from the actual plot)

Glaciator 2 (Marichat episode? What even happens in this one? Gonna rewatch it real quick...

... Literally nothing changes, nothing happens. I get why I forgot this episode, it's pure fan service with no consequences on the plot. The buttercup dialogue lasts for a third of the episode)

Hack-San (useless, Scarabella is ugly as fuck, what the hell is that yo-yo placement? Small Marcaniel moment but if I didn't care about them I wouldn't care about the episode)

Rocketear (I started to hate Nino. Pointless jealousy plot point, nothing changes, Alya already tells Nino she is still Rena, making Sentibubbler basically useless)

Wishmaker (they didn't know what to do with Luka since he's not a love interest anymore so they set him up to be put away in Brazil so they don't have to worry about him. If he wasn't in Brazil now, it wouldn't change much. And they could have just used the excuse of Jagged traveling the world with his son to make him go away, make it reversible if they ever came up with something and give him something to do while he is away)

Simpleman (iirc the favorite episode of TA. Do I even need to say anything about this one? So boring and useless that when I rewatch the series I don't even rewatch it. Nothing happens at all, it's unfunny, the kids are annoying, Roland is a useless character, and it's so so so so so BORING)

Qilin (bad analogy for police brutality. Bad animation. Bad plot. Nothing happens in the plot. Cool to see Sabine akumatized and they even got the mythology right for this Chinese character. Too bad the Qilin doesn't have those powers as far as I know, which my knowledge is pretty limited on the matter so help me with this one. Still a bad episode)

Dearest Family (kinda fucks up the timeline, Gabriel breaks the Magical Charms but he could have done that any other episode. Yet another episode where nothing changes)

Ephemeral (worse Chat Blanc (not that Chat Blanc was that great to begin with), one of those episodes where everything happens but it gets erased one way or another. They already did that with Oblivio and Chat Blanc so why do it again? Pure fan service)

Kuro Neko (chat gets offended for not being called like the other heroes I guess? Anyways, you guessed it, nothing really changes. This should resolve the arc of Adrien feeling excluded from the team by... Making Cat Walker too attractive for Ladybug to focus? And so she realized Chat Noir is irreplaceable? Yeah, sure. Their dynamic shatters just for this episode and they go back to normal at the end, just like in Glaciator 2)

Out of these 11, 2 were somewhat good imo, but they brought nothing important to the plot. Su Han could have been a great character but we see him 3 times. Luka learning the identities is underused. Shadow Moth breaking the magical charms makes Mr Pigeon 72 useless, and they didn't even wait a season to break them, they lasted 17~ episodes in production order and who knows how many in release order.

So the writers have no problems wasting almost half a season with unimportant shit and then they cry about not having enough time for the plot. They could have done a lot for the Agreste arc in this season. They could have at least given an episode each for every new miraculer. But they chose to put Simpleman instead. And then they never explain anything in the series because they thought it was so obvious. It happened off-camera. I fucked your mom off-camera, what about it?

This is probably my worst paced post yet. Not sorry about that.

I don't know how people can defend in any way TA's writing.

Félix has a kill count of at LEAST all of Paris. At least 2.1 million. And at some point we are led to think he killed the whole world except Kagami and Adrien. He literally has a higher kill count than the fucking Holocaust (68 million people in France alone). He SAd Ladybug. He gave all the miraculous to Monarch when all he needed would have been to give him back the ring for the peacock miraculous, and he still could have informed Ladybug about the whole deal, you know, the whole world depended on it. He gave him the fucking RABBIT MIRACULOUS WHICH HAS THE POWER TO CHANGE HISTORY AND MAKE ALL HIS PLANS USELESS. IMAGINE IF MONARCH JUST GOT ANOTHER PEACOCK MIRACULOUS FROM ANOTHER AGE AND USED IT TO KILL HIM. He didn't fight in the final battle (using TA's words iirc) "because he thinks those are human matters" Or something like that. Big news, Argos. If the world ends, it ends for sentis too, not just for humans.

I don't care that he's 14, some crimes have no age and he murdered innocent people. Not just people in the diamond ball (which could arguably all be considered corrupted rich assholes, but you are telling me that there wasn't a single other Z*é Lee-like rich kid?) But random people on the street too! WHILE FUCKING SINGING (a really nice song, but still).

BUT EVERYTHING IS OKAY! HE APOLOGIZED OFF-SCREN!

(To be clear, I'm not saying that Felix is irredeemable, because I don't think that any 14 yo is completely irredeemable, unlike someone else. I am complaining that the end of a character's arc was completely cut off the show because the main writer can't write a satisfying end to an arc to save his life)

Edit: (fuck it, I don't think ANYONE is irredeemable, not just 14 yo. If anyone ever feels bad about something they did and they put the work into making themselves better, they should get that chance. No matter what they did, no matter who they are. And if people don't want to forgive them and have them in their lives anymore regardless of if they redeem themselves, they should have to respect that and be able to move on)

Not necessarily. Jesus is a senti, Adrien is a senti and so is the lollipop monster or Strikeback. That doesn't mean that the lollipop monster is tied to Jesus, I know the background is very different for the lollipop monster, but it's all about with what emotions you create your child, how you raise them, and how much freedom you give them when it comes to sentibeings.

That would mean there have to be parallels between me and David Bowie because we were both born via sex.

Joan of Arc had the miraculous of the Ladybug but she doesn't have much in common with Marinette other than loving her Chat Noir.

Something about Roland dying makes it not that significant.

It's totally understandable that Marinette, Gina, Tom and Sabine feel sad about the death of one of their family members, but the viewer most likely will only feel sad because they experienced that loss/ they see their grandparent in Roland.

But other than that I don't care much about him dying

We saw him three~ times, I remember Bakeryx, Dearest Family and Simple Man (which was absolute hot, steamy and liquid shit)

His introduction is him either not talking to his family for decades because of racism towards Sabine, or if you wanna take the metaphor literally, over using rice flour instead of wheat flour (at least in the Italian dub idk if it changes in other dubs) in which he comes off as fucking insane, I can expect racism, but over FLOUR???

This man had no good reason to cut off his family and go live talking with rats like Cinderella and he gets away with it scot free. And from an outsider point of view, he is one of the worst characters in MLB morally (don't get me started on how Astruc tried to make us hate on Chloé claiming she is racist and then trying to make us feel sympathetic for basically the CEO of racism), and the show just forgives him because Marinette's bread is just as good as his. (Using Chat Noir as the judge, who as far as we know, doesn't have any culinary knowledge other than Camembert because of Plagg).

Again, it makes sense for Marinette to mourn him, that's her grandfather and she fought hard to have him in her life (even if he didn't deserve it).

But for viewers it's just another background character, at most a tertiary character, we only care because he represents OUR grandparents since he is the protagonist's

make Z*é an interesting character in The Queen Of The Dreadzone, not just make her do the same bit of standing up to Chloé for the billionth time and treating it like it's the first time. Let Fury out.

Make Z*é have so much resentment towards Chloé that she doesn't even wait for Chloé to be akumatized, she transforms into Fury, uses venom, Chloé suddenly finds herself on the limousine/helicopter/whatever again

"Ridiculous! Utterly Ridiculous!" And yada yada.

Again and again. Chloé gets akumatized BECAUSE of Z*é. Let her realize what she's done.

Maybe preventing the crime isn't as simple as putting evil people on timeout. You have to actually change the villain. Ladybug calls Vesperia, her outfit refuses to change, she is still so pissed. She detransforms, gets some time to calm down. She's Vesperia again. She joins in but Ladybug already purified the akuma by herself (with the help of Miss Hound and the others).

Her rage has put people in danger, Ladybug needed her and she wasn't there.

She CAUSED the akumatization, which, sure, it was Chloé, she would have been akumatized one way or another, but this time, part of the fault is on her, she didn't try to reason with her, she didn't try to talk, she straight up went for the punishment. Sure, she would have been akumatized either way, especially if SHE tried to reason with her. Maybe. Or maybe she was right, she just speeded up a process that would have happened either way. After all, evil people like Chloé are easier to akumatize, they are given powers to get what they want. But she does start to doubt herself. Not because of Ladybug (or maybe it is because of Ladybug that just asks "where have you been? I called for you, were you affected by the akuma?" Which she lies and says yes), but because of Chloé and how she reacted to the punishment, it just made her worse. But, you can't punish her because she gets worse, and you can't let her be because she is already doing evil stuff, what do you do to a person like that to make them better?

End the episode with a question. Answer it next season, when Vesperia gets another episode dedicated to her.

I'm sorry if this makes no sense, I've never written anything like this in my life and English isn't my first language, but i do think that if the episode was more centered on Fury and how violence isn't always effective than how irredeemable and awful Chloé is and the girls standing up to her for the billionth time it would have been better.

It's funny how Thomas Astruc clings on the fact that Chloé is racist by the fact that in Kung Food she said she likes sushi and they had to correct her on the fact that sushi is Japanese and not Chinese (like Mari's uncle) and then they akumatized a Chinese man and made him a reference to a Japanese character??? (And also in season 6 Tomoe's Peacock outfit is, like, a clusterfuck of asian stuff but I don't really know since I am really ignorant about that, I still liked it not knowing anything about asian cultures but that is beside the point)

By this standard, Astruc is just as racist as Chloé.

You can't really say that it's because she bullies Marinette, she bullies literally everyone in her class (or city) regardless of gender, race and sexuality. She just goes against Marinette more because she's known her for longer, sees her as below her (as the daughter of a baker, her father's side is the problem to her, she's classist,not racist lmao), and has recently became competition for Adrien's attention. (I'm talking about seasons 1-5 and not counting the travesty that was Derision as canon).

In conclusion, Chloé sees everyone below her, she literally hates everyone equally and her hate is not racially motivated, she's classist (still a bad thing btw, I am not excusing her)

And I'm saying that she's not racist simply because we were never shown she was racist in the show. Astruc can say whatever he wants on Twitter, a casual watcher wouldn't know it. I shouldn't have to give my information to Elon Musk to know more about this kids' show.

If she ever was racist on camera let me know, but she is at worst ignorant for what we are shown.

And as of today we know(according to his own tweet) that the writers themselves couldn't handle Chloé Bourgeois either. From the man himself, she was axed because people liked her, and they shoved the bully trio into the show. No rumors or speculation here. This happened.

Interesting female character dumped for three male characters, because the male writer couldn't handle the reaction to her. 🤣😭😡

I'm still so fucking angry that they treated my Queen Bee like that. First to reject an akuma and for what? The only one to get that close to retrieving a miraculous and for what?

I can't stand Z*é I hate hate hate hate her so much because she was a product of this and made solely to replace Chloé. And then when they saw that a lot of people didn't like her they made her the first explicitly gay character. Not beloved Juleka, Rose, Nathaniel, or Marc, but that sad excuse of a replacement, so now if you hate her you are hating the first explicitly gay miraculous character. Now I just pretend to see Chloé in her place but I HATE her so much. Zoe-Oneesama's Z*é at least makes a bit of sense, but the only praise she will ever receive from me is in fan works. They literally could have made Chloé's redemption arc work and give her the same exact personality as Z*é but nooooooooo they HAD to make the 14 year old irredeemable while still making us sympathize with Gabriel for 5 seasons (tho I am glad that season 6 is covering how much of a piece of shit he was)

AND NOW any time she is on screen is to rehearse the same script over and over on how she's ruined everyone's life and how poor Sabrina was just too much under her influence to understand that what she was doing was bad (let's just fucking forget that Chloé has always been under Audrey's influence too and most bad things she did were to feel similar to her own mother who left her and the moment she came back she doesn't even remember her own child's name)

No, my problem doesn't come from the fact that she's not 100% good. My problem comes from the fact that people love to paint her as a perfect and morally pure good heroine when she isn't one, and my problem also comes from the fact that the show itself doesn't acknowledge how terrible are her stalking and her behavior in some situations/with some characters.
