Parcel arrived. Want to see it?

It's Vi from Hot Toys! I bought the head as a lose part. I have a plan.

But the thing is, Hot Toys are notorious for not finishing things. Only releasing a one or two figures. Potentially, we will never see Caitlyn Kiramman. So I decided to take steps. A proxy is needed.

It is Saeko Nogami from City Hunter. It's the best match I have for Caitlyn.

I'm biased, but I think they look good together?

I have a question, a request actually.

I'm writing something for Mass Effect Appreciation week. Just something short.

It's something about Lexi T'Perro, an Asari. I'm looking for any lore or background about Asari culture.

I got a response on a comment on AO3, and that made me stop and think for a little while.

The story I started writing was very Shepard centric. But it's a story about the two if them. What the story needs is Asariness.

So, anyone got a suggestion for a source on the Asari?

I have a question, a request actually.

I'm writing something for Mass Effect Appreciation week. Just something short.

It's something about Lexi T'Perro, an Asari. I'm looking for any lore or background about Asari culture.

I got a response on a comment on AO3, and that made me stop and think for a little while.

The story I started writing was very Shepard centric. But it's a story about the two if them. What the story needs is Asariness.

So, anyone got a suggestion for a source on the Asari?

Is this something?

The Eos harvest festival. Not the first, maybe the second or third. It's a deliberate attempt to create a tradition, everyone knows, but they willingly take part.

The crew of the Tempest have a standing invitation. The responsibilities of the pathfinders are many, no one would takes offence if they didn't come. But today, they are here.

The crew sit together, enjoying a beverage that may not be entirely authorised.

Lexi sits with the other Asari, not a slight, just a pleasant opportunity to be amongst her own people.

Shepard turns to the others.

"You guy's don't mind if I step away?" She asks.

A knowing look between others.

"No, we don't mind." Ryder tells her in reply.

She approaches the Asari.

"May I ask for this dance, my lady T'Perro?"

Lexi looks briefly to the others. No one objects. If anything they are intrigued.

"You may, my lady Shepard." Replies Lexi.

It's an old tradition, filtered through multiple different cultures, over hundreds, even thousands of years. But the intent still remains.

And they step on to the dance floor.

There are many couples there tonight, some for the first time, others of many years standing. But they only have eyes for each other.

Ryder and the pathfinders look on. It's strictly against regulations ot course, but no one cares. Not tonight at least.

The Asari observe. A few knowing nods amongst them.

And they dance.

Oh, but I've had the worst idea.

It's the harvest festival, right? Shepard has just asked Lexi to dance. But Shepard can't dance. That's just fact.

So, what if someone taught her how to dance?

Time, effort, rewrite, edit.

It just exists. Is that enough?

Today, I did something I've never done before.

I deleted a story from AO3.

I thought it was finished, I thought there was nothing more I could do to it. But I was wrong.

There isn't an option to hide it, at least not that I know if. So, I deleted it.

I need to reconsider what I wanted to achieve. I may repost it, once I've thought about it a little more.

I have two stories.

One for trilogy week, and one for Andromeda week.

I wasn't sure if I would finish in time. But lady inspiration came along and kicked me in the ass!

They are supposed to be complementary, imagine a conversation over vast installer distances. At least that was the idea. But we'll see.

I want to post them now. But I am going to be disciplined. They are in the queue, scheduled to drop during each week.

After that, I'll post on AO3.

I had fun writing them, so I hope you like them!

I've got an idea for appreciation week.

Two stories, one for the trilogy week and one for Andromeda week.

But they are companion pieces. One Shepard looking into the sky in the milky way, and another in Andromeda. Both thinking about the other.

I'm wondering if I can actually do it? Two complementary stories featuring the same character. It will be good if I can!

Let's find out.

I've got an idea for a little character piece. Shepard after the war. Not sure which prompt exactly, I'll think about it.

For ME: Andromeda, I want to write about my crack ship, clone Shepard and dr. Lexi T'Perro.

What the week is about: It's a special week to celebrate Mass Effect Andromeda!!!! A game that gives us a lot of joy! So let's talk about our Ryder, the Tempest crew, the worldbuilding, the new species like the angara and the kett... Let's have fun together!

How is it different from any other week? Appreciation weeks can get people excited about a specific fandom and be more active. It can bring more fandom content. The fact that there's one tag that fandom can check every day of that week is very nice for everyone who wants to share their thoughts and fanworks. It's also a good week to find friends in fandom! I finally started playing 'Life is Strange'.

A bit late, I know. So far, a good game!

But I'm just thinking, Chloe and Vi would have met at a tattoo parlour, right?

Vi was getting her back tattoo finished, also tidying up or erasing her prison tattoos.

Maybe they like the same band? Always a good conversation starter.

She's from Piltover, a big mining town close by Arcadia bay.

'My dad used to take me there sometimes, my real dad. Before he died.' Said Chloe.

'Yeah, I know how that feels. I was only young my dad died. All of a sudden this huge presence just isn't there anymore.' Replied Vi. 'Not a good time to be alone.'

'Yeah, my best friend left town, maybe four years ago? Haven't heard from her since. So it's just me and my mom. And my step dad I suppose.'

Vi reached out her hand.

'My names Vi.'

Chloe hesitated for a moment, then took her hand, and shaking it.

'Chloe.' She replied.

'Look, I wouldn't normally do this, and if someone said this when I was your age, I'd run a mile. But if you ever need a place to crash, come to the last drop in Piltover.'

'Is that a bar?'

'Yeah, my dad's old place. Just me and my sister. And my girlfriend when she drops by.'

'Your girlfriend!'

'Don't sound so surprised, kid!' Replied Vi, but with a smile on her face.

'She used to be a sheriffs deputy, until she lost an eye in a knife fight. Man, that was a crazy time! She's taking a photography course in Blackwell academy now. Cait always had a good eye.'

'Cait? As in Caitlyn Kiramman!?' Said Chloe, not even bothering to hide her surprise.

'The one and only!' Replied Vi.

'I didn't think she was, well, um, well you know?'

'Oh, but she definitely is!' Said Vi in response. She grabbed her jacket, carefully putting on over her fresh tattoos.

'I gotta go, I'll see you around, Chloe.'

'Yeah, I'll see you, Vi.'
