Beauty and the Beast is so funny, imagine you go out to town to run your errands and the entire population starts singing about how fucking strange yet fuckable you are
One of these must be truth.
Either men are not capable of feeling and expressing love
Or
I am inherently unloveable
Logic vs cognitive dissonance.
I collected a bunch of "haha I don't have 2020 vision" "oh God not like that" posts
Sometimes Tumblr ads are actually accurate

Go get your sister.ā Elsa: āWait, what? But I just had to fight a Water Spirit and cross an ocean to get here!ā Ahtohallan Iduna: āWell, then you shouldāve fought a Water Spirit and crossed an ocean with your sister.ā Elsa: āButā¦!ā Ahtohallan Iduna: āNOW, YOUNG LADY. Donāt make me ask you again!ā Elsa: āAww, Momā¦ā *turns and walks out*
Elsa angrily leaves the room Idunaās voice echoes in the hallway behind her āI can hear you stomping your feet up those stairs! Your father and I taught you better than this!ā

āI keep telling you. Itās not just the police. Doctors treat us horribly and act as if weāre faking. After my C-section they sent me home with no pain medicine. Let me repeat: they cut open my stomach, ripped out a child and sent me home with nothing.
I had to beg one of the nurses for pain medicine as she saw me in pain. My chart even had the time I was supposed to get it. She treated me as if I was a liar. It was a day after surgery and I was getting feeling back in my legs. I felt everything.
When I went back to have my scar inspected my PA looked shocked that it looked good. I go to the post interview and the assistant goes āthey were shocked your scar was so smooth. He usually does an awful staple job on brown women. Itās probably because your husband is whiteā.
Anyways, Black and Brown women receive disparate care and itās killing us. The Maternal mortality rate is almost five times higher than that of White women. Our healthcare system needs reform. Everyone has a right to fair, ethical, equal medical care.

Average size mannequin with average size woman.
The problem, in one picture.
I never realized until seeing this picture that my interpretation of an average size woman has become REALLY SKEWED oh my god I wanna cry
best picture ive reblogged in a while.
Iāve been struggling with my body image recently because Iāve gained a lot more weight⦠and this is so helpful to me because I think my image has been skewed by a lot of mannequins in stores.Ā
arenāt you tired of being tired donāt you just wanna be not tired?
The world is finally getting it.
Iām Gonna Be (500 miles) is honestly just such a pure, solid good song. The lyrics are cute af and actually resemble a long-term committed and happy relationship and to top it all off you can screamĀ āDAHDADADAā and the top of your lungs in a pub and someone will scream it back to you.Ā
this is why its depressing to work in a pharmacy.
I was definitely a profit killer when I worked in a pharmacy (which honestly was my favorite job in the entire world, but it was short-lived and nowadays you canāt work at a pharmacy like that, itās all tied in with corporate retail and no one should ever trust me with a cash register ever). It was not, however, actually a profit killer for the pharmacy, just for the drug companies, so no one cared. These days I do medical billing, which means I actually bill OUT from hospitals so Iām mostly spending my professional time taking money away from insurance companies.Ā
I will now impart all of my profit killing resources onto you, in case you donāt know them. I think most of you know them, now. But just in case you donāt.
THIS IS US-CENTRIC. IāM SORRY.Ā
1. GoodRx - this thing has an app now, so you can look up the best places to get your expensive medicines at the lowest possible prices without insurance on the go, and you no longer have to print coupons because you can just hand over your phone or tablet. Times have changed for the better with GoodRx. Definitely use it before trying to fill your scrip, because it will tell you the best place to go. (You can do that on the website, too.)
2. NeedyMeds - Needymeds is basically the clearinghouse of drug payment assistance. They have their own discount cards, but also connections to many patient assistance programs run by drug companies themselves. They are good assistance programs, too.
3. Ask your county - This is not a link. This is a pro tip. Most county social services will have pharmacy discount programs for people with no and/or shitty pharmaceutical coverage. You can often just find them hanging around at social services offices; you can just pick one up and walk off with it.Ā
4. Ordering online - There are a few safe online pharmacies. I keep a little database in a text file on my computer. Most of them are courtesy of CFS forums, my mother or voidbat, so a lot of that is a hat tip to other people, but if youāre in need of a place to get a drug without a prescription ⦠first Iāll make sure you 100% know what youāre doing for safety reasons and then Iām happy to turn over a link.Ā
5. Healthfinder - A government resource that helps find patient assistance programs in your area. This might also point out the convenient county card thing. RxHope is something a lot of people get pointed to via Healthfinder thatās a good program.
6. Mental Health America - Keeps a list of their best PAPs for psychiatric medications, which can be some of the most expensive and a lot of pharmacy plans donāt cover them at all.Ā
This is so important ppl.
Signal boost the shit out of it!
Booooooooooooooooooost
Good Rx Saved my family a hundred dollars a month while I was getting signed up for CHIP seriously itās a life savor especially for ridiculously expensive drugs like abilify
Useful info, friends! ;)
Since many of our followers are on medications, I feel like this would be an important resource. -Luna
Also! Some drug companies have patient assistance programs where they send you the drug for FREE if you are uninsured, or if your insurance doesnāt cover that drug.
Do a Google search for āpatient assistant programsā + (your med), or search the manufacturers website. Sometimes the info is online; other times you have to call.
Even some of the big name pharma companies have this. Itās certainly not all companies, or all meds, but it is worth a shot.
Before Obamacare, I lost insurance and couldnāt pay for my mood stabilizers (kiiiiinda important to have those when youāre bipolar.) I was on generic Lamictal, but I went to the official Lamictal website, filled out a form with a valid prescription, and they mailed my meds to me every month for free.
If you know anything about bipolar disease, you know that that was a literal life saver. Patient assistance programs ftw!
This is so important given the recent vote to repeal Obamacare. And the cartoon above is so on point Theyāre literally voting to kill people. Literally.
Some of my meds are no longer going to be partially covered by my ridiculously expensive private insurance. I just used the GoodRX website to look it up, and I can either spend $40 at Target to pay for one of them out of pocketāper monthā, or I can get it at Sams Club for $4. No that is not a typo. The drug I need to take every single day to keep my allergies from spiraling out of control (yay auto-immune bullshit) is literally ten times cheaper at Sams Club. Holy shit.
