31 Day Nail Art Challenge

I haven’t done much nail art this year, mainly because I can’t seem to find inspiration or have enough ‘feels’ to do nail art.

So I’ve decided to do the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge! I know September is nearly over, but better late than never! I won’t be doing a design a day, but I will aim to do the prompts weekly. Even at a weekly pace, I won’t finish the challenge within 2018.

Here’s some red plaid with nude accented with red, diamonds, and pearls. And of course, gold glitter!

Stammi Vicino Yuri’s EX version!

Made to pair with Victor’s. Although it’s not a perfect match (because Victor changes his shirt to a black one for the EX pair skate).

The design on the thumb is supposed to look like ice with lines made by skates cutting on it, with a pair of golden rings *wink wink*. The two coloured gems are also a purple-blue and a blue-purple pair (’: (i.e. trying to stuff symbolism in hahaha.)

happy lunar new year!

red and gold and black (ink) theme. not really my style and i don’t usually bother doing both hands but well, one must be festive. abstract brushstrokes with gold flake topper, and water transfer decals.

(now that i look at them side-by-side, my right hand ring and pinky fingers are...a lot more crooked than my left. must be because i fractured them before.)

Yuri Plisetsky’s SP On Love: Agape costume-inspired!

Was Victor’s from his junior days, and is known as the ‘legendary transparent cross’ costume. Upper body is made of transparent material, with the image of a feather brought out through the shoulder and sleeve cuffs, becomes an elegant and gorgeous costume.

^or so it is described as.

Design take elements of the costume (pants right leg, mesh, chest, shoulder) and thumb is random kitties lol.

Pinky is some sheer white polish with a hint of pearl shimmer. For the rest, it’s a base of china glaze snowglobe. Would have preferred it to be less dense but...my polish dried into a goopy mess and this is the best i could thin it out to. Roughly 3 coats if it were normal consistency.

Everything else painted with acrylic, a brush, and much squinting.

I’ve also done Victor’s and Yuuri’s pair stammi vicino and Yurio’s...fashion sense.

Victor Nikiforov’s FS programme costume-inspired!

It is described as a gradient from pale peach to deep bordeaux, with golden epaulets and buttons adding a high-class touch befitting of the title of living legend. (lol)

So sparkled things up as much as possible with a holo topper and gold studs. The red also has golden glitter in it maybe it’s my imagination but there is also a slight gradient effect of glitter...?

Pinky is the pants with a touch of gold from the skates. Ring finger is his left shoulder, and the next two are the fabulously crisp white shirt and sheer jacket over. The thumb is supposed to be a gradient of his hair and eye colours but my gradient technique is terrible haha. On hindsight maybe i should have stuck with the reds palette.

I did Yurio’s penchant for animal print the last time. And his On Love: Agape as well. Also the pair skate Yuuri version!

(though tbh i’m leaning more towards Yuri Katsuki...)

The animal prints are water transfer decals but the lines are freehanded. Didn’t want to have too much black so went with the white tiger+red instead of tiger+black.

White, grey, gold.

Copied the design out of a nail magazine. Colours used are cirque carpe diem and mavala 218 minsk. I need to figure out a way to paint thin lines u.u

minimalist black brushstroke.

black acrylic over a base of cirque carpe diem. normal seche topcoat, followed by opi’s matte topcoat. i like how the pinky turned out but sadly it was the first one i did hahaha. it is difficult to get this dry-brush-one-stroke thing right.

(side note the full hand picture makes it look as though my index is longer than my ring finger, but they’re actually the same length. like in the first picture.)
