peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are so good dude
having a best friend who meets your level of freak is unmatched. you present them with the most unhinged, deeply buried thought from the depths of your psyche and instead of blinking blankly they just go "oh absolutely"—and I think that mutual brain rot like that is the highest form of intimacy actually.
people will say “they’re only friends” and then show me two people who would crawl through broken glass to hear the other laugh once. two people who have memorized each other’s coffee orders, fears, childhood stories, and emergency contacts. two people who would haunt each other’s houses as ghosts. be serious.
Just an FYI—the original intention of this post was to challenge the way people say only friends, as though friendship is somehow lesser than other forms of love. As if being deeply known, cherished, and chosen by another person could ever be a small thing. Normalize profound platonic love. Some of the most fulfilling, transformative, and enduring relationships we will ever have are friendships. 🫶🏼
”‘Just’ friendship? A poor modifier for so high and honorable a state.”
used to think it terribly silly (and kinda funny) when fantasy or sci-fi stories would have people refer to major recent historical events as The Flood or The Incident or The Revolution, and im sure historians fucking hate that because it's not helpful or descriptive, but we sure do be calling it The Pandemic
Googled something about quick hydration and it suggested big jug of water, couple tbsp pickle juice, dash of lime juice.
Its surprisingly tasty????
Pleased to report that after a day of this i am not longer craving caper brine and my mouth is not dry as usual. There's some good suggestions in the notes too that I want to try.
-ancient roman posca: water, red or white wine vinegar, honey, salt, herbs (coriander, mint, thyme)
-switchel: water, ginger, vinegar, sweetener, lemon, salt
-ayran: yogurt, water, salt, mint
-Agua pepino: water, cucumbers, lime, sugar, optional mint.
I have been reminded of:
-shrub: vinegar, sida water, elderberry (or other berry), sugar.
I have now been informed of
-sekanjabin: honey, vinegar, mint, water.
"Wow, I wonder why this post was popular this week."
-sees the reports of the heatwave in Europe-
"... ah."
you are alive on a planet with insects and whales and diatoms and mycelium networks and puppies and your human friends. literally so awesome to be a living thing
scientists are experimenting on cross-breeding a crab and a cheetah; things could go sideways real fast
Fictional country: average fantasy
Fictional small town in the middle of nowhere in real country: par for the course in any genre
Fictional major city in real country: standard fair, but it's usually clearly based on a real city
Fictional suburb of real major city in real country: strange but I can see the application
Real major city in fictional country: Chicago can be anywhere you dream of
I wonder if all the "dead poets society" "sad poetry" ppl reblogging this know it's from a d20 campaign.
do they know about ylfa? do they know what she became? do they know that the wolf did not eat her, but that she ate the wolf? do they know that she walked her grandmother's past to a wooden door? do they know she gave up her name so that people might someday be able to write their own stories?
it's okay to be uncomfortable with the topics iwtv explores! that is the entire point. a series about morally gray vampires is going to delve into topics that make an empathetic human being extremely uncomfortable. no one is "weak" for finding a scene or a topic hard to watch/stomach, and i don't think they should be put down for it.
i always mean it when i say i love you btw
‘but thats a stranger you dont know’ and i love them. i love that they exist and i love that they passed through my life. and i love u too btw
reblog to tell your mutuals you love them for existing
Daniel’s first line back being “The Cuntessa” vampirism really freed him to be the biggest bitch ever
very aware that this fandom is LONGG dead but i accidentally became obsessed with wolf 359 in the year of our lord 2026 so. lol here's a quick lovelace i drew a while ago (while procrastinating studying for finals) and rediscovered lately
Wake up babe, new octopus just dropped
