these artists all have at least one song that makes me go absolutely fucking crazy and NOBODY is listening to them lmao:
Lizzie No (spotify-ish genres: folk/Black americana/country): I love their music, they've got extremely niche songs, like one called Centralia about that town in PA where the coal mine got set on fire and the town randomly has sinkholes because of it. Just released an Album called Halfsies in January and not lying, they made me buy a whole CD cause I love it so much. It's the only CD that I haven't thrifted.
Similar Kind (POV: indie/alternative pop): I have seen them in concert twice, I'm utterly in love with their music style and their writing and maybe their lead singer a little bit. Parked Car Conversations is such a bop about awkward conversation. More people need to know about them so I don't have to keep buying concert tickets to see them open for other people.
BB Bean (pop/coming of age/idk actually how other places categorize them): I found them cause one person did a D20 Fantasy High fan animation to their song Barbra Stratford and their music is my current obsession. Can't think of anything besides their music, gong insane about it a little, genuinely currently listening to them. Barbra Stratford is Kat Stratford's younger sister from 10 Things I Hate About You and its a love song about her!!! It's such a fun deep cut, showing a lot of passion about early 2000's coming of age rom coms. I love music where there's a Thing that sets it apart.
Jules Paymer (indie pop/queer pop/maybe modern rock? but in the same way Boy Genius is modern rock): They have this one song called Mommy Issues and I'm pretty sure they were reading my diary during my last real relationship when they wrote it, cause how else did they know all that. Love their music, fun times, good vibes. They have an unreleased song about sleeping with the girl their ex cheated on them with, and I'm chomping at the bit to hear it.
The Great Bear Trio (genres: instrumental Celtic inspired modern): they have one song called Cosmic Tim that just scratches the inside of my head so well. If you're into the genre give it a go, I have them on my studying playlist with the How To Train Your Dragon soundtrack! They don't still make music but all their stuff is still around on the internet.
