Last Song: before i started typing this, it was "the middle" by kelty greye (the cover of "the middle" that was in supergirl 2026), because that movie grabbed my heart in its hands and refused to let go, so i've been listening to it So Much lately. <3
but then i got distracted halfway through typing, so now i'm listening to "the body remembers" by annabelle dinda while thinking about one of my beloved ocs. (fern... <3)
Currently Watching: i saw the hadestown proshot in theaters yesterday! first time seeing/hearing hadestown, cried a lot while watching. <3
last episode of a tv show that i watched was danger force "down goes santa - part 2" with my brother last night.
wait, actually- my siblings were watching miraculous in the living room about an hour ago, so i was also watching it while making coffee. so that's what i've watched most recently. :)
Currently Reading: i want to be reading "take back the word: a queer reading of the bible" by robert goss and mona west.
unfortunately i haven't gotten a chance to read past the introduction yet, because my time management skills are. extremely bad. at the moment.
i also started reading "how far the light reaches: a life in ten sea creatures" by sabrina imbler a while ago, absolutely loved the gorgeous writing style in that- but it was a library book, and i had to return it only one chapter in. see aforementioned atrocious time management skills.
hmm hopefully i'll be able to read more books on my to-read list once i have a more structured schedule this fall. <3
Current Obsession: chewing aggressively on my beloved ocs <3 they're a team of villain sidekick kids themed around the four fear responses (fight-flight-freeze-fawn). my terrible menace children who love each other so much and go through So Many Situations <3
Currently Working On: well, if i can manage to wrangle my focus and energy today- or. the remainder of today, i suppose- then, ideally, i can look at scholarship options for the university i'm trying to transfer to in the spring.
and also perhaps i can start on one of the danger force fluff prompt requests that i haven't gotten to write yet. that would be very nice. :) <3
Currently Wearing: the outfit that i wore yesterday, accidentally fell asleep in last night and am still wearing for some reason- soft black sweatpants and a yellow shirt with a sunflower on it :) nice comfortable outfit. <3
Last Google Search: "how long until a dog is full grown" because i was thinking with delight about exactly how far into df canon the kids could keep referring to their dogs from "return of the kid" as puppies before it started being silly and blatantly untrue. <3
Favourite Flower: sunflowers :) mostly because i am always having fun thoughts and emotions about the sun and sunlight, so i very much enjoy all the metaphorical/poetic potential of sunflowers. they're bright yellow...they're like the sun....they stretch and turn to face the sun itself....i love them very much :) and there's one on my shirt right now <3
oh and also, not technically a flower, but. i think those ferns that automatically curl up their leaves when you brush against them are very neat and interesting; i got to see them once on a road trip as a kid, and it was very cool. :) <3
