Picked this up tonight. I was told it has a legit "chocolate shake" flavor. I am not getting that uber chocolate taste. It also has a slight 'boozy' after-taste. It feels kind of light to me BUT I took this right out of the freezer and it is pretty tasty. Took this straight out of the freezer. The cherries and elderberries give a super sweet boost this beer. The aftertaste lets you know this was aged in an oak cask. I am not a huge fan of aged beer. I could make an exception for this. The combination of the berries and oak give off a sort of sweet and sour vibe. Better late than never...uh...this is a pretty average tasting cider. Very reminiscent of candy. On the nose, it's easily the green Jolly Rancher. It's also ONLY 4.5%...so there's that.
