Determining Device Orientation
When developing for the web how do you determine if a user is viewing your site in portrait or landscape? It turn out there are a bunch of ways. Have a look at my **[Device Orientation Test Page](http://htmlpreview.github.com/?https://github.com/thebinarypenguin/device-orientation/blob/master/device-orientation.html)** to see for yourself. *([source code](https://github.com/thebinarypenguin/device-orientation) hosted on GitHub)*
Recording Macros in Vim
> 1. **qa** = Start recording a macro. The macro will be named "a" > 2. (make your edits) > 3. **q** = Stop recording the macro Now you can execute the macro with the command **@a**. You can even specify how many times to execute the macro like this **100@a** which will execute the macro 100 times.
Incrementing Numbers in Vim
> **ctrl-a** = Increment the number under the cursor > **ctrl-x** = Decrement the number under the cursor **Additional Details** * If there’s no number under the cursor Vim will move the cursor forward to the next number on the line and increment it * Works with decimal, octal and hex numbers by default * Can be configured to work with letters too (see :help nrformats for details)
I can't stop laughing long enough to caption this properly. Just watch it.

"Raphael" by Dave Rapoza
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
