Perhaps we’ve been wrong about Ms. Britney Spears. Scientists from the Celebrity-Cluster Index  have followed Ms. Spears for years and discovered a dangerous spike in global psychosis whenever her popularity rises and interest in social justice falls. Naturally then, we’re alarmed to see Ms. Spear’s popularity grow in the last month. But could our data be flawed? For now, we see that Ms. Spear’s emanations carry great humanistic insight. Her recent masterpiece Work Bitch expresses the nobility of work with beauty, power, and tremendous insight. Critics are already calling the video “flawless” and a “feminist workplace manifest.”

Her opening lines capture the yearnings of women everywhere: “You want a hot body? You want a Bugatti? You want a Maserati? You better work bitch.” Obviously this is coded language for a woman’s right to human dignity. Similarly her ritualistic exploration of high desert yoga in a feminist tribal context is deeply moving. Suddenly we realized her secret message, and immediately made a new INFILTRATION video that decodes and reveals her hymn of praise and solidarity. Yes, Ms. Spears was obviously inspired by the courageous Laotian women who work as deminers, finding and destroying the unexploded munitions strewn through their country. As an American, Ms. Spears realizes that her nation’s military left some 80 million unexploded bombs in Lao PDR more than four decades ago, and her creative videos and performances speak to that. Bravo, Ms. Spears, bravo.

Celebrity-Cluster Index is a free online data-processing service that informs visitors about daily levels of toxic global emanations. It is a scientific project investigating the bombing of civilians in a mass-entertainment culture. Our technicians have discovered that the shifting popularity of certain celebrities offers startling insight into the degenerating sanity of Western consumers. 

Using data-flow programming, the Index charts daily levels of media dissemination and preoccupation with Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Britney Spears. This data is then automatically compared to global interest in cluster bombs, indiscriminate weapons notorious for their destruction of innocent civilians.

Our work is predicated on the notion that an evolved species would evince interest and concern in its own well-being. Our analysis and graphic visualization of patterns of celebrity obsession offer a remarkable picture of daily worldwide psychosis. For public safety, we display a threat-level warning each day, along with helpful recommendations for cognitive survival. Because there are conflicting views in the scientific community regarding which celebrity analytic variable most accurately correlates with global psychosis, the Celebrity-Cluster Index actually presents three distinct indexes — the Gaga-Cluster Index, the Bieber-Cluster Index and the Britney-Cluster Index — each with its own warning levels.
