Just so you know, you can't block me AND sent me anon hate or normal.

I see the notifications for your messages, but if you have me blocked, Tumblr prevents me from seeing them!

Even if you use anon, that anon ask is still registered to your account.

Palworld cringe stop blazing garbage

ModDog: I paid Tumblr to put another artist’s work in front of more people, and apparently even that requires approval from the Anonymous Council of Correct Support.

Next time, I’ll submit the artist, fandom, budget, payment method, moon phase, and snack selection for review.

The application will be processed directly into the shredder.

Funny thing about being told I’m “that part of the fandom” is that I’ve been around this fandom since close to the beginning.

I was making pony stuff back when the internet was still collectively figuring out what a brony even was, and during my peak I used that attention to help with charity work and community efforts.

So no, I’m not exactly losing sleep over one anonymous badge inspection from the fandom respectability committee.

Note: If you have actual criticism beyond “AI bad and you’re bad for using it” or “fuck you, learn how to draw,” I’ll answer honestly instead of with sarcasm.

I’m already an artist. My older hand-drawn work is at the beginning of the blog. I’m not ignoring criticism; I’m just not treating insults like critique.

I noticed the criticism has shifted.

At first it was “pick up a pencil,” “you’re lazy,” and “you can’t draw.”

Now that I’ve shown older drawings and sketch work, it’s become “you can draw, so using AI art anyway is worse.”

That’s fine. People are allowed to have that line.

But at this point, we’re not really discovering new information. I’ve been clear: the visuals are AI-generated art, I don’t claim they’re hand drawn, and I still make the characters, story, dialogue, direction, and final decisions.

I also understand that AI is part of a much bigger controversy. I’m not pretending those concerns don’t exist.

But I’m also not going to accept every problem surrounding AI being placed directly on one hobby creator making dog and family story comics after work. My use is a drop in the ocean compared to companies, platforms, and corporations running this technology at scale around the clock.

That doesn’t mean people have to approve of my choice. It doesn’t mean criticism is forbidden. But there is a difference between disagreeing with my workflow and treating me like the face of an entire industry problem.

I’m not going to keep proving I’m allowed to make my own project. I’m just going to make it.

Maybe some people will get interested in the story I’m spinning. Maybe some people will stick around for the characters. Maybe others will take refuge in the food recipes, relationship advice, family advice, or self-reflection posts over on: @thefamilytable.
