These delicate Baby Blue Macarons are ideal for an airy, light-colored look. These are a delicious treat that will give any occasion a hint of sophistication.
Ingredients: 150g almond flour. 150g powdered sugar. 2 large egg whites. 50g granulated sugar. 1/4 tsp baby blue food coloring gel. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Pinch of salt.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 300F 150C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a food processor, combine almond flour and powdered sugar. Pulse until fine and well combined. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites in three additions until the batter is smooth and glossy. Add baby blue food coloring gel and vanilla extract, then fold until the color is evenly distributed. Transfer the batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip and pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Tap the baking sheet on the counter to remove any air bubbles and let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to develop a skin. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the macarons have a firm shell and are easily lifted off the parchment paper. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, carefully remove the macarons from the parchment paper. Sandwich two macaron shells together with your choice of filling e.g., buttercream, jam, or ganache. Serve and enjoy your delicious Baby Blue Macarons!
