Falling in and out of depressive episodes is like being stuck at the bottom of the ocean
And then suddenly being forced above the surface
In the same place you’ve always known
Overwhelmed and confused
Gasping for space and a moment to breathe but never being given either
Having to learn how to swim all over again
And it just stays like that for days, weeks, even months
And all you can do is wait and struggle everyday
Until you drown yourself all over again
Wondering when you’ll be forced to drown next
There are no adjectives to describe the loneliness I feel. No emotion has ever stunned me more than loneliness. Being surrounded by people, all of them either not know or not accepting the real me. Sometimes I feel like these people hate me just as much as I hate myself. A bitter acknowledgement that my self hatred is right, that I am worthless and unlovable. I have no meaningful relationship to anyone and it is tearing me apart.
How much longer do I have to cry silently into my pillow? How much longer will I have to hurt myself just to stay alive? How many more breakdowns can my body take, before I have to disappear, to escape?
I am tired of being alone.
I don’t get mad anymore, I just get really quiet. Why keep talking when nobody is really listening to you?
Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
i am tired. i am exhausted. from my head to my soul to my bones i am so fucking tired.
mental illness is like you will crave love but never feel comfortable around anyone ever. your welcome
The most desperate times create the most stunning art
- it's life's biggest paradox.
The artist destroys their own sanity,
To bring pleasure and peace to strangers.

My broken palace.
A poem
There are thorns growing around my house,
Tightening their grip,
With each dream that falls apart.
.
Terrifying amazement spreads like a disease
At how easily you can be conceived
Into believing you've planted the right seeds
Only to find that they've grown into poisonous weeds.
.
One second
Lack of attention,
A small miscalculation,
Causes an uncontrollable recession.
.
The weeds take over your carefully crafted house,
Each stone single handedly collected,
Failures heavy heartily corrected,
Only to find its foundations have been infected.
.
I was so close to having it all,
To finishing my palace,
Only for it to fall
By the hand of an invisible enemy within.
.
- Everything thought to be stable crashes
By one tiny seed wrongly planted.

Why am I so prone to destroying my own life? I am a self manipulating, broken kid screaming for someone to point me into the right direction.
