Help me find a penpal!

So I’m learning German and I love getting post, so i thought hey let’s mix the two and it could be pretty fun!

I’m looking for a native German speaker to help me learn - I’ve only been learning for a year (but it’s been at a pretty intensive level - I’ve been kinda reading Harry Potter in German to give you an idea of my level). I’m 19, so preferably someone lovely who is around that age!

Also, if there’s someone who wants to learn English, then I’d be happy to be a penpal to them too! (... I’m English) I think that’s a good way of doing things - someone helps you and you pass it on to help someone else.

Some stuff about me: I like knitting and hiking and reading and Shonda Rhimes and I’m studying Chemistry... and I have big hair and an accent like I’m on the BBC.

So I work at a pretty progressive company so at t the last meeting I brought a click counter and I clicked it every time a man cut someone off. I used a pen pad to keep track of the women cutting someone off. Because it happened twice. Both times after they’d been cut off and were trying to finish a sentence. Eventually the men noticed the clicking and would pause and look around. At the end of the meeting I told them the results. In a one hour meeting men had cut someone off a total of 236 times. Two hundred and thirty six.

I’m reading Harry Potter in German and I’ve only read one page but I freakin LOVE this language. I loooove compound words  (because they are basically how I speak English when I forget the real words which is often). Eg ‘geheimnisvolle’ is mysterious, or literally(ish) ‘full of secrets’ and I just think stuff like that is really cool.
