i wanted to share my version of the coloring
it was fun to color, like an adult coloring book
Quick fun fact I learned in ASL class:
Babies can begin signing as early as a few months old. You donât have to wait until theyâre 9-12 months to start communicating verbally; the parts of the brain that process and use language develop before a baby is able to speak intelligibly with their mouth. Teaching your kid sign language early means that they can communicate effectively months ahead of schedule, when compared to peers that only speak a spoken language.
Additional fun fact: this jumpstart in language is thought to be a possible way to avoid the âTerrible Twosâ; that phase of a toddlerâs life is thought to be largely due to a toddler being unable to effectively communicate their needs. If a two year old has already been speaking for a year and a half, theyâre far more able to communicate to you whatâs wrong. Heck, they might also start reading earlier; languages with a fingerspelling component, like ASL, mean that any speaker needs to be able to spell unfamiliar words and ask about them. This can jumpstart a toddlerâs ability to recognize letters as components of a word, and teach them to spell, read, and eventually write these letters to communicate.
Which, of course, lends absolutely zero credence to the theory that ASL will inherently stunt someoneâs spoken language skills. If anything, sign language fluency makes acquiring any language, spoken or not, easier rather than harder.

#kind of a milf reblog
I won't apologize
How the hell could I possibly explain this post to somebody not on tumblr
Donât let anybody tell you that quibbling about canon is an artefact of the modern culture of authorship. We have surviving letters from Ancient Greek poets yelling at each other about whether including this or that legendary hero among the crew of the Argo would cause mythological continuity problems. You are participating in a proud and storied tradition.
...do little German boy meme enthusiasts even know that our reblog button looks like this-
Oh mein gott! Zis hellsite is full of rebloggenposten

I will miss you if they finally realize about you, Tumblr the website and app Twitter account. You shined bright, you magnificent being.
And some of you may not have heard this peak of human culture, but... just after Twitter purchase by Elon Musk got confirmed, a bunch of (serious) journalist put together a Twitter Space (a live audio streaming where any of the attendees can ask to participate) about what was going to happen next, and ... @tumblr joined. And... they invited tumblr to speak. I can't describe how much joy this moment brought me and how fucking proud made me of being part of our little entropy generator here:

Reblogging this again because I found info!
This is 2/3 of a band called Too Many Zooz (theyâre lacking their trumpeter here), the song is called âFlightning,â and the genre is âbrass houseâ (which i think they made up but hey i dig it). They have a handful of songs on Spotify and just successfully Kickstarted their first full-length album.
this song as the opening to a new anime by Shinichiro Watanabe honestly
These guys are CHARACTERS for a Watanabe anime.
I seriously love these guys, because theyâre so interesting from a music-theory perspective. Their use of intense beats, syncopation, deep bass, and blaring harmonics borrows a lot from modern club music
theyâre basically playing dubstep on traditional instruments. Seriously, listen to some tracks with all three of them together, and tell me thatâs not what theyâre doing
fucking poll post i saw it on my dash and i can't rb it
saw new users saying they don't block bots bc "they inflate follower count đ" and "what's the point" like who's gonna tell them (1) Noone cares about follower count and you can't even see it and (b) You have to bc they are using you to legitimize their dodgy links. They don't care about your aesthetic cat pics and lightning mcqueen fanfiction. They are using you.
actually fuck you i love queer people who dont perfectly fit into the labels they chose for themselves. queer people with 'contradictory' labels. queer people who proudly use and reclaim historic terms, symbols and slurs. queer people who reclaim slurs that dont align with their identity to build a sense of community. weird queer people. freakish queer people. trans people with 'weird' transition goals. queer people who align more with cultural queer identities as opposed to online western ones. queer people who dress plainly. queer people who dress oddly and over the top. queer people who 'act/look too gay'. queer people who 'dont act/look gay enough'. cringey queer people. 'steven universe gays'. closeted queer people. old queer people. disabled queer people. mentally ill queer people. queer people of color. queer kids who are still experimenting with their identity. queer adults who are still experimenting with their identities. queer people who dont fit the beauty standard. queer people who will never fit in to the internets perfect polished idea of what queer people are supposed to be i love you i love you i love you i love you
This is such a random peeve, but I'm so tired of seeing posts about animals with intersex conditions being called "nonbinary."
No, that chimera butterfly, or cat, or bird, or whatever tbe hell it is this time, is not "naturally nonbinary."
It's intersex. And as an intersex human, I'm tired of the two being equated.
Because they're not the same thing.
Reblog and put in the tags a song you associate with a favorite character, without saying who they are
