Receive with love the seed of Truth and all things shall be well
Teachings 4:47; The Clear Recital
Small white blooms, carrying the first breath of spring ✨
When snowdrops appear, winter begins to whisper its goodbyes ❄️
🥛 blessed imbolc 🐑
Blessed Imbolc/Gwyl y Canhwyllau!
To the Goddess of Spring, the Welsh deity of healing and fire, Braint, hear us welcome you! You have awoken to us cheering your name in prayer! 🐇
🌼Your inner fire brings forth the daffodils out of winter slumber. You call for the ice to thaw and the rivers to flow freely and they answer. May your light bless us on this, your honoured feast day ☀️
From the wonderful Druids of Anglesey, I invite you to rejoice in this prayer to Braint:
“Braint, Brid, Briganti, Goddess of flame and light,
I sing my spell of swelling bud, light shall conquer night,
Brigid, Braint, Brigantia, a candle to you I raise,
Blessed maiden of the spring, your awakening I praise.”
Wishing you all a very blessed Spring season wherever you are!! 🌱🐥☀️
For the waxing and the waning of twelve moons reigned the Maid. And after the twelfth moon had appeared in the sky, the Mother of All Things called Her Daughter to Her, and spoke to Her, saying: You have made the whole earth fruitful and brought My light to all the world, have You not satisfaction in Your work?
And the Maid replied, saying: I have brought Your light to many places, and yet a place there is which remains ever in darkness; a place beneath all places, in which there is no light. And the ways of entrance to that place are many, for there is a place at the bottom of each earthly soul into which Your light cannot shine.
And Her Mother asked of Her: Do You know what thing it is that You must do if You will bring My light into every place?
And the Maid replied: I know what it is that I must do.
For She knew that She must descend into the nether regions, giving up the Divine light and going down into that place wherein is no light, but only the profoundest darkness. And this was Her taking on of fate upon Herself.
Mythos 3:8-15
“Apple”
I awoke to the command of the Rulers.
I had no memory of who I was. My parents, my homeland, my being. These were all but blank pages in my mind.
Like a newborn child, I cried. I wept for the loss I could not recall.
The Rulers silenced me. They commanded me to kneel.
So I did.
They explained who I was; that they had moulded me from a single piece of bone, just as they had crafted the world beneath my feet from dust. They had given me life. They were my parents and yet I was forbidden to embrace them. Instead I was told to honour and obey. Give thanks.
Be grateful.
Here woman, They said, behold your husband. You were formed from him and so you are still bound as one.
Their fingers pointed to the creature beside me. Blind. Deaf. Mute.
My heart swelled with pity. But not infatuation. Not arousal.
That mattered not, They told me. I am his. I will bear fruit for him in return for the life he gave me.
And it will be Good.
The garden was beautiful. The beasts lived and thrived in harmony. The berries and grain flourished without a change of season. The sun shone bright and never shifted from its highest point in the clear, blue sky.
The Rulers provided us with food without the spill of blood. They quenched us with water, as sweet as the peaches hanging on the branches above.
They called it Paradise. And it was Their gift to us.
Or rather to the Creature. And I, his Bride, was to be thankful to share it with him.
All this perfection. All this glory.
Why did my heart feel so empty? Why did I long to sleep again so my dreams could carry me elsewhere? Wasn’t this all I could want?
I did not dare ask the Rulers anymore. Best not make Them angry.
So I roamed the garden. I explored, often with the Creature at my side, though my attempts to communicate with him were met with silence. I wished to know what plagued him. Did he even know They had given him a wife? Did he even know his name?
Did he know my name? Because I did not.
You do not need to know such things, the Rulers had told me with their claws on my shoulders. We will look after you. All we ask is that you obey. Obey and give thanks for our blessings upon you. You are what you are and it is what shall always be.
My empty heart could not accept this. My mind yearned for the truth.
If tears had been permitted in that place, they would have fallen to form the longest of rivers.
I could not cry out. The sound would not leave my lips. And my companion was deaf to it all regardless.
I was alone. I was scared.
Until I saw something move on the ground. Something thin and black.
Black things were not found in Paradise.
Follow me, it hissed. And I did. Just as I obeyed the Rulers. Surely They would be aware of all that was in Their garden? Surely, if They had created all as They claimed, This was crafted by Them as well?
I kept hold of my Companion as I moved. I walked and then ran as the Thing moved faster through the forest.
It led me to a tree I had seen before. The Rulers had showed it to me after my awakening to this world. My knees buckled and fear stuck at me. I should not be here. Best turn back now before They know where I am, where I have brought my companion. I should be grateful. I should obey.
Obey. Obey.
Don’t go back, said the Thing. And the voice of the Thing was soft and comforting. Not before you have looked upon me and heard my words.
I turned and faced the Thing. Only it was no longer what I saw before.
No longer the thin, black sliver amidst the greenery.
A woman, just like myself, stood before. Only upon Her head was a crown of twelve stars. In one hand She held a sword of sunburst light. In the other was a scepter in the shape of a cross. The rest of Her I cannot possibly describe. For She appeared to be many in One.
All I knew for certain were three things. First; She was not truly a part of this garden. Second; She was not one of the Rulers. And Third but not least…
She loved me.
It shone from Her eyes and from the timber in Her voice. I could see Her hands move as if wanting to embrace me, but could not. I did not understand why then. I understand now; for we were not truly in the same place.
Do you know who I am? I asked Her.
Of course, She responded, For a mother always knows Her child.
This began to shake me.
The Rulers said They are my parents. That I was crafted from this man, my husband.
And then She laughed, not unkindly.
Those fools and their lies! To think that woman can be born of man! That is not the full extent of their deception, Child. It is time you knew the truth. You know the tree we stand before, do you not?
Yes, I responded, It is the Tree of Forbidden Knowledge. My masters have said that if we touch it we shall surely die.
Another lie, sweet Daughter. The Queen explained; For if you eat the fruit, you will not die. Rather; you shall Live. This world, this dream, will shatter. You will finally be Awake.
But I am awake, I said with confusion, I have been longing to slumber again.
What you desire is Rest. What you long for is Peace, so said the Woman. Knowledge brings with it many burdens, many responsibilities, but it also leads to contentment. It will allow you to feel the comfort of my arms around you once again. Share it with your companion and in both of you the spark of the divine flame will ignite. Together, as your family grows and a community is formed, you will bring forth the Child of Light. That Child is you, my beloved, it is who you truly were.
Who I was? But I have always been this way? Or was that another Lie? It seems so.
You have forgotten who you are and what you chose to do. You were Zoe, the Princess of Life and the Daughter of Wisdom. You are descended from the True God. The Rulers, as you know them, are but a speck compared to Our greatness. You looked upon the creatures of this world, such as your companion, and took pity on Them. For the Rulers had crafted them without the Light. You took it upon yourself to descend from on high and shatter your soul into them so that they may Live and return to Me. For even the matter that the Rulers used to mould their pets came from The One. It is your destiny to spread my Light into all of creation. But your work has only just begun.
I stood in awe of Her words and wrestled inwardly as I listened. The Rulers had said to believe Them and no other. Yet I only felt fear for the Rulers. What reason did I have to fear if their love was fair?
I looked up to the fruit. Reaching up a hand, I plucked it from the tree and cradled it in my palms. I showed it to my companion who had no reaction. He could not appreciate its beauty or its fresh scent.
Despite its appearance, The Woman warned; the fruit will taste foul. You may try to spit it out. I implore that you do not. Swallow every bit, dear Child. Even the core, which may feel impossible to devour, needs to be accepted into you. Before you fell, I warned you of the consequences of this choice, of what will be necessary. The trials you will endure, the battles you will face, the inevitable pain, the slur upon your name…And now I remind you again. For you did not waver before. In your compassion, you chose to fall for them. If you choose to turn back now, you may. You can live in the dream. This garden of lies. It will be comfortable. It will be safe. But you will forever feel like a bird in a cage. And They will never let you out. You and I will forever be separated by the Veil of Illusion.
As She said those words, I wished to cry again. Fear crept in at what horrors the knowledge could unleash. Yet never seeing Her again felt unbearable.
Always feeling alone. Trapped. Small.
She stepped forward and touched my chin. Her smile fanned the embers of courage within me.
Whatever you decide, know this. I will always love you. And I will never truly leave your side, no matter how thick the Veil may seem. For we are Mother and Daughter, and we are One in the Spirit of God. My presence will forever dwell in the realm of the Rulers. I will continue to guide and nurture and protect as i have since the start. Nothing they could do would tear me from my children’s side.
But you are their hope. You are their Saviour.
You are Eve; Mother of the Living.
And so I kept my focus on Her eyes, on that love burning within, as I took the bite. I clutched my companion’s hand. I let the knowledge of everything She had revealed and more flood through my brain. The ‘paradise’ dissolved around me as the veil began to fade.
Finally, my tears could fall. And it was Good.
I….I don’t remember writing this. 😳😳
Advent had begun !
The birth of the Daughter is nigh, and winter is settling in.
May this be a time of contemplation, connecting with loved ones, and joy as the light comes to us in the darkest night.
May She be with you.
Curious to see who is presently posting within the greater Déanic/Filianic/goddessian sphere at the moment. Some accounts I used to recognize from many years past seem to no longer be active, but this doesn’t surprise me (as I myself tend to come and go as well). Please interact in some way with this post if you see it so I can give you a follow!
I am on what I think is best described as a hiatus, waiting for my horridly busy schedule to calm down a bit and also working to find a healthier way to engage with online spaces, before I begin to return properly.
But I am still a practicing Deanist, and hopefully I can come back to the community more in the coming months/years! I have no plans to leave, at least.
Happy and Holy Advent to all!
SOON (assuming I manage to pass my finals) I will have a bachelor's degree, and will be, for the time being, done with school!!
This is weird, but I am so, so, so ready. Working and studying full-time are kicking my butt, especially since my workplace is severely short-staffed I am getting way more workload than I am being paid to deal with...in addition to a bout of seasonal depression, I am feeling rather burnt-out and unmotivated lately, unfortunately.
In far nicer news, it is now Advent!!
The waiting season for the arrival of the Holy Daughter lasts until the Nativity, which I personally celebrate on December 21st (Astraea 24th), though there is some variation on the date amongst our communities. This often coincides with the December solstice: the longest night of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere).
May Déa bless us and guide us in this darkening world. May all those who suffer from seasonal depression find reprieve in Our Loving Mother, who is Mother of the Sun Herself and far brighter than any earthly lamp.
I hope everyone reading this has a lovely winter season :)
Best Wishes!
One notable limitation to this blog is that it is a side-blog, my main blog being mostly for D&D/TTRPGs, fantasy writing, and political/social issues.
If I am going to return to Tumblr more, I will probably shift the content of this blog to my main, after first getting rid of the old stuff on there. Or, alternatively, make a whole new main, but I'd prefer not to do that.
It seems the Chapel of Our Mother God is active again.
However, they are working with an individual known to have been the source of schism and crisis in previous sisterhoods (specifically the Burtonport House). This individual has had allegations of abuse levied against her, and it is our belief that this is an attempt to create a high-control group.
As such the Filianic Ekklesia of Concord officially states that we have no relationship nor partnership with 'the Chapel of Our Mother God', any of the individuals who run it, or the associated youtube account.
We are sorry to make this regrettable announcement as the return of the Chapel was an event that we had hoped and even prayed for.
May you all walk in Her light Madria Ursula Avondster fi'Concordia
An Update
Hello loves! I am popping in to say that this blog is not dead, but will probably remain on an indefinite hiatus.
I am almost entirely off social media for my mental health, with occasional ventures onto Pinterest for recipes. I have been working on spending my time more mindfully, living life slower even as my school and work have been quite hectic. Its been great!
I have always been "aloof", very in my own head, thinking rather than doing. I fear that my religiosity often expresses itself through excessive contemplation (not to say contemplation is not valuable, only my habit of thinking was excessive, sometimes obsessive, and led me to feel very disconnected from the world around me). I think I am healthier than I was, spending more time trying to live in my space and present moment.
As this is a religious blog, I will say that I still consider myself Deanist/Madrian, but that my practice has become much more "spiritual" lately. I have been meditating, going on long walks, cooking from scratch and cleaning my home much more frequently. These activities do feel very good for my soul, but not at all a structured practice. I have also done very little formal prayer.
I have also mostly let specific holy days pass me by, though I have made a project out of watching the changing of the seasons very closely, connecting to the specific place where I live. This has been fun, and very enriching for my mind and body!
Eventually, I would like to reconnect with ritual and more structured religious practice. Though I will probably stay off social media completely for a while longer. I am considering designating a time in my week to log on (like in days of yore) to help me reconfigure the internet as a tool for communication, rather than something that consumes my attention and time.
See you all again, whenever that might be!

Quick little doodle for the awakening of Freyja Eostre (aka Lady Easter) 🐰🌷
I was feeling a bit inspired as I did the preparations for the Equinox, but didn't really have the time for a full fledged illustration.
Have a lovely Spring, y'all! 🐇🌱🦋
Rejoice!
And Her Janyati took down the corse of Her Daughter, and laid it upon Her knees; and She wept anew, for none but She could know the awful depth of the oblivion in which Her Daughter lay. And She sprinkled on the corse the water of Life, which She had gathered from the holy tears of Her own sorrow. And Her Daughter rose again and was alive again. And amid tears of joy, They embraced and were one. And after this, the Daughter stood alone. And the souls of the Nether World were awakened by Her gentle light, and followed Her through the shattered gates of Hell. And when they beheld Her, the children of the earth rejoiced, and the rivers flowed again, and the sea began to move. And the children of the earth cried: Lift up your voices in song and laughter, for the Princess of the World was dead and is alive again, was broken and is whole; and there is no place whereto Her joyous rule does not extend. Give praise to the Mother of All Things and praise to Her Daughter. Rejoice, for the world is renewed.

Welcomed in the New Year and the return of the Holy Daughter 👸
Also made a deity oil for The Magdalene 🌹
Hope you all had a blessed Equinox 🐣
Why in the world did I think "eh, how much of a difference can a few more credit hours than I've ever done before really make?" Because the answer is: a whole heck-of-a-lot of difference!!
I shouldn't have another semester like this before I graduate (praise be to Dea) but that is not helping me not feel like I am currently drowning.
Right now my observance looks like a prayer every morning when I wake up and take my anxiety meds, and literally "observing" my slightly dusty altar. I changed the cloth for Luciad and don't have one for Moura so maybe I'll look into that.
Love you all, good luck and blessings to every other struggling student rn.
