he mains ast in raids but can play nin almost as well. they like jobs with intense burst windows followed by some breathing room until the next minute window comes up. they started as a bard, tho
they regularly bunny themselves in the middle of limsa
they used to be a fanta addict, but they’ve stuck w male viera since it released.
if MC is new to ffxiv, they’ll play pld in for their first time in duties. if he sees them standing in an AOE or not doing a mech, he’ll put intervention on them so he can take the damage for them
if MC starts as a tank, he’ll instead make sure that MC never dies during pulls. they make sure you know how to rotate your mitigation during pulls and that you always feel comfortable wall to wall pulling. final pull of mt. gulg go brrrrrrr
hell, if MC starts as a dps they’ll do their best to learn the job themselves so MC can ask them questions about the proper rotation
once MC has their bearings, he’ll play ast w them and spoil them w card buffs. it gets to a point where they reflexively give MC the cards w/o even looking at who it’s meant for. if MC raids w them, they have to focus on not giving MC all the cards
first time MC does praetorium, toasty is there mimicking all the cutscenes while they happen. SUCH DEVASTATION WAS NOT MY INTENTION
as soon as MC finishes ARR, they solo some ARR extremes w them so you have some shiny horse mounts to ride around on
if MC already played ffxiv, once toasty calms down from their excitement, they try to see if MC would ever raid w them. couples who prog UCOB together stay together owo
they do their best to show that they love MC not bc they play ffxiv, but that it's just a fantastic side benefit
honestly they’re excited to have someone to do dailies w. whomst amongst us doesn’t have a semi-inactive FC between patches
during weekly raid reclear night, MC will randomly message them “you’re cute” to try and fluster him mid-pull. this frequently succeeds and toasty’s static teases them relentlessly about it
MC knows better than to distract toasty during raid prog (gotta work for the clear!!), but sometimes they sneak up on him from behind while they afk in limsa to hug him and kiss his cheek
they joke about getting matching in-game names so often that MC doesn’t know if it’s a joke or not anymore
between patches, they sometimes play other MMOs like guild wars or ESO between patches, but they always return back to ffxiv. xyx tries to get them to play runescape to no avail
they joke that they were the inspiration for hythlodaeus’s hair. MC will try to make them jealous by saying how pretty zenos’s hair is
every so often, they gift MC random glams or mounts from the mogstation. what’s that? MC appreciated a random glam set on someone in limsa? it’s their’s. god they’re pretty.
also they’d play on primal and i cannot be convinced otherwise
i haven’t played an otome game in years and i played this one bc i play ffxiv. truly incredible shit. u cowards need to add “flow” from ffxiv to all ur toasty playlists. or maybe the sephirot theme to mix it up. tyfp o7
