The Skywalker Empire
After Order 66, Darth Vader returned to Coruscant not as Palpatine’s apprentice, but as his executioner.
The Jedi were broken. The Senate was afraid. The clones obeyed. And when Palpatine turned his yellow eyes toward Vader and spoke of destiny, Vader finally saw the truth: he had traded one master for another.
So he killed him.
Not in rage. Not in confusion.
With purpose.
Palpatine died beneath Vader’s blade, and the galaxy woke the next morning to a new Emperor.
Emperor Anakin Skywalker.
But no one called him Anakin anymore.
At his side stood Padmé Amidala, draped in black and crimson royal gowns, her face calm only because she had learned that fear could be hidden behind silence. The galaxy called her the Empress, but in truth, she was a prisoner with a crown. Vader loved her obsessively, desperately, violently. He believed everything he had done was for her. Padmé knew the truth.
He had saved her life by destroying everything she loved.
Years passed inside the dark throne room above Coruscant. Padmé gave birth to twins: Luke and Leia Skywalker, children of the Emperor, heirs to a galaxy ruled by fear.
Vader did not send them away.
He trained them.
From childhood, Luke and Leia were taught that the Jedi had betrayed the Republic. That mercy created weakness. That love was possession. That power was the only language the galaxy respected.
By their teenage years, they became something more dangerous than Inquisitors.
They were not hunters serving the Empire.
They were heirs enforcing their father’s will.
Luke carried a violet blade, unstable and bright, a reflection of the conflict buried inside him. He was the quieter twin, intense and watchful, powerful in ways even Vader did not fully understand. He could crush durasteel doors with a thought, but sometimes hesitated before striking down frightened survivors of the old Jedi Order.
Leia carried a golden blade, elegant and merciless, her armor shaped like royalty and war combined. She had Padmé’s face, Anakin’s fire, and a mind sharp enough to frighten generals twice her age. She did not hesitate like Luke did. Or at least, she made sure no one saw it.
Together, they became known across the galaxy as the Twin Hands of the Emperor.
When rebels whispered of hope, Luke and Leia arrived.
When hidden Jedi tried to rebuild, the twins found them.
When senators questioned the throne, Leia silenced them with words first, and her blade second.
Vader watched them with pride from his black throne, believing he had created the perfect dynasty. A family no one could take from him. A bloodline strong enough to rule forever.
But Padmé saw what Vader could not.
Luke still looked at suffering too long.
Leia still listened when prisoners begged.
And when the twins stood beside their father in the throne room, beneath the great window overlooking the stars, Padmé realized the future was not yet lost.
The Skywalker Empire was powerful.
Terrifying.
Almost eternal.
But inside its two brightest weapons, buried beneath armor, fear, and their father’s shadow, there was still a spark of the very thing Vader had tried to destroy.
Not rebellion.
Not yet.
But doubt.
And in the Skywalker bloodline, doubt was dangerous.
Because once a Skywalker questioned his destiny, the galaxy itself began to tremble.
A Few Jedi Lost To Time
The Vigil of Shadows
The temple was silent, save for the echo of her boots against the cracked stone. The air smelled of dust and ancient ashes, as if the walls themselves remembered every battle, every betrayal.
Ahsoka Tano’s white markings glowed faintly in the half-light, her face a mask of calm over the storm within. The Jedi had abandoned her. The Republic had crumbled. Even Anakin—her master, her brother, her family—had been consumed by the dark.
She had sworn she would never follow him.
But the Force had other plans.
The darkness came not in a sudden surge, but in whispers. First when she struck down enemies who begged for mercy. Then when her anger lent her strength to survive against odds she once thought insurmountable. Piece by piece, the shadows found their way into her heart, not as corruption, but as necessity.
Now, her sabers hummed with a chilling harmony: one pale green, one burning violet. Not Jedi, not Sith. Something in between, forged in defiance of both orders.
From the mist, a squad of mercenaries emerged, hired blades foolish enough to hunt her. They raised their blasters, unknowing of the fate they had chosen.
Ahsoka exhaled, and the Force answered.
The shadows around her seemed to ripple, alive with her will. Blaster bolts never reached her body—they curled into the smoke and were swallowed whole. She moved like a storm given flesh, sabers flashing arcs of light that tore through metal and bone alike. Her enemies screamed, then fell silent, their bodies crumpling into the dust that already blanketed the temple floor.
When it was over, she stood alone again. Always alone.
Her chest rose and fell, not from exhaustion, but from the weight of what she had become. She was no Jedi. She would never kneel as Sith.
But in the void between, in the realm the galaxy feared to name, she had found her power.
And the galaxy would remember her—Ahsoka Tano, the shadow no order could control.
Anakin Skywalker did not die on the Death Star above Endor. Mortally wounded after casting down the Emperor, he was recovered by Luke Skywalker and kept alive through a combination of advanced prosthetics, bacta treatments, and cybernetic life-support. The once-imperial machinery of Darth Vader’s armor was stripped away, leaving him with a skeletal framework of technology just barely keeping him alive—less a weapon, more a cage. The device around his jaw and skull is a vocal respirator, a constant reminder of his fall.
⸻
The Weight of Redemption
Freed of Sidious’ grasp, Anakin reawakened as himself for the first time in decades. But freedom did not erase his sins. He remembered every Jedi slain, every world scarred, every family destroyed. The New Republic sees him not as the “Chosen One,” but as the executioner of the Old Jedi Order and the Emperor’s iron fist. Luke, however, believes his father deserves the chance to speak—to bear witness to what he was and to what he has become.
⸻
The Senate Confrontation
Now, years after Endor, the New Republic Senate demands his presence. They want him tried not only for his crimes but as a symbol—to prove the New Republic is not the Empire reborn. As Anakin enters the chamber, scarred and stripped of the black mask of Vader, he appears less like a Sith Lord and more like a broken man held together by wires and willpower.
The Senators are divided:
• Some demand his execution as justice for Alderaan, for Order 66, for decades of tyranny.
• Others argue he is a living testimony to the true nature of the Sith’s corruption—and killing him would silence that witness.
• A few, influenced by Luke, see in him the last fragment of Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight, the Chosen One.
⸻
Anakin’s Inner Conflict
Anakin does not plead for his life. He comes to confess. He speaks of how the Republic fell, how Palpatine twisted him, and how power corrupted him. He admits he slaughtered without mercy, including those he once swore to protect. But he also warns them: the Sith will rise again, if the galaxy forgets how it fell the first time. His redemption, he insists, is not absolution—it is a warning.
⸻
His Fate
What happens next is up to the Senate—and to history. Some whisper he will be executed. Others say he will live out his days in seclusion, a prisoner of both body and soul. Still others believe he will remain at Luke’s side, never again a Jedi, but something else entirely: a scarred reminder of the Republic’s greatest failure, and its last chance to learn from it.

Fashion Sketches of Rebel Pilot, Poe Dameron, as a Jedi Knight.
The Millennium Falcon, cruising through the vastness of space, en route to a remote Jedi temple on a distant planet. The galaxy is still in the process of healing after the fall of the Final Order. Rey and Finn are in the common area, with Chewbacca at the helm and Poe in the cockpit.
---
Rey sat cross-legged on the floor of the Falcon’s common area, the ancient texts of the Jedi spread out around her in a semi-circle. The hum of the ship’s hyperdrive provided a comforting background noise. She was deeply engrossed in a passage about the balance of the Force when she felt a familiar presence approaching.
Finn walked in, his face a mix of determination and hesitation. He had been wrestling with this conversation for a while now, and the time had come. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his racing heart.
“Hey, Rey,” he said, his voice a bit softer than usual.
Rey looked up, her eyes brightening with a welcoming smile. “Finn! What’s on your mind?”
Finn shifted his weight from one foot to the other, glancing down at the ancient texts before meeting her gaze. “Can we talk? It’s… it’s important.”
Rey’s smile faded into a look of concern. She set the book aside and stood up, motioning for him to sit with her on one of the battered couches. “Of course. What’s going on?”
Finn sat down, taking a moment to gather his thoughts. He had faced stormtroopers, Sith, and the Final Order, but this felt different. More personal. “Rey, ever since the battle on Starkiller Base, I’ve felt… things. Things I couldn’t explain. And during the fight against the Final Order, it became even clearer.”
Rey’s eyes widened slightly, the pieces starting to come together in her mind. “Go on.”
Finn took another deep breath. “I think… I mean, I know I’m Force-sensitive. I’ve felt the Force guiding me, especially when things were at their worst. And I think I’ve known for a while, but I was scared to say anything. Scared it wasn’t real or that I was just imagining it.”
Rey’s face broke into a warm, understanding smile. She reached out and placed a hand on his. “Finn, the Force is strong with you. I’ve sensed it too. You’re not imagining it. You’re meant for something greater.”
Finn looked relieved, a weight lifting off his shoulders. “I just didn’t know how to tell you. I didn’t want to disappoint you or make things more complicated.”
Rey shook her head, her smile unwavering. “You could never disappoint me, Finn. The Force has chosen you for a reason. And now that you’ve acknowledged it, we can start your training. Together.”
Finn’s eyes lit up with a mix of excitement and nervousness. “Really? You’d train me?”
“Of course,” Rey said, squeezing his hand. “The galaxy needs all the help it can get. And I can’t think of a better person to stand by my side in this new era of the Jedi.”
Finn nodded, feeling a newfound sense of purpose and belonging. “Thank you, Rey. I won’t let you down.”
Rey stood up, pulling Finn to his feet with her. “I know you won’t. Now, let’s get started. The Force has a lot to teach us both.”
As they began to discuss the first steps of his training, the Millennium Falcon soared through the stars, carrying two friends towards a future filled with hope, unity, and the promise of a new dawn for the Jedi Order.
Student Of The Chosen One.
In a fascinating alternate universe within the multiverse, Darth Vader's redemption arc takes a different, yet compelling path. In this reality, the pivotal moment of his return to the light side happens much earlier than in the original timeline. Instead of waiting until the Battle of Endor, Anakin Skywalker finds his way back to the light side of the Force during the events of "The Empire Strikes Back."
In this universe, after his intense duel with Luke Skywalker on Cloud City, the confrontation stirs deeply buried emotions within Vader. The realization that his son is alive and the possibility of redemption through him triggers a profound internal conflict. As Vader grapples with his past and the atrocities he has committed, he begins to question his loyalty to Emperor Palpatine and the dark side.
The turning point comes when Vader, in a moment of clarity and overwhelming love for his son, decides to confront the Emperor's manipulation and deceit. During a subsequent encounter with Palpatine, Vader renounces the dark side and defies his master. This act of defiance is symbolized by his decision to construct a new lightsaber, one that embodies his journey from darkness to redemption. He forges a purple-bladed saber, a color signifying his unique path that blends his mastery of both the light and dark sides of the Force.
Vader's return to the light side sends shockwaves throughout the galaxy. He reaches out to the Rebel Alliance, offering his assistance in overthrowing the Empire. Initially met with skepticism and distrust, his commitment to the cause and his deep remorse for his past actions gradually earn him the tentative acceptance of key Rebel leaders, including Leia Organa and Mon Mothma.
Anakin Skywalker, once more, becomes a central figure in the fight against the Empire. His strategic insights and formidable skills in combat prove invaluable to the Rebel Alliance. With his purple lightsaber in hand, he leads daring missions against Imperial strongholds, working alongside his son Luke and daughter Leia, who now fully embrace him as their father.
The presence of a redeemed Anakin Skywalker significantly alters the course of the Galactic Civil War. His intimate knowledge of the Empire's structure and tactics gives the Rebellion a crucial advantage. The eventual victory over the Empire is achieved with fewer casualties and a more unified galaxy, as Anakin's story of redemption inspires hope and reconciliation among former enemies.
In this universe, Anakin Skywalker's legacy is one of restoration and healing. The once-feared Darth Vader becomes a symbol of the power of redemption and the enduring strength of love and family. The purple lightsaber he wields serves as a constant reminder of his unique journey and the balance he has found within the Force.
