It’s 12:35 here in Managua, Nicaragua. I was asleep, woke up to take care of my injured mom and…after this fucking incompetent shit we call president Daniel Ortega tried to subdue us with his shitty talk, trying to convince us that there would be a change and that he wanted peace…the police started attacking UPOLI (polytechnic university) again. Students, who just wanted to protest in peace, to talk and dialogue in peace to get an agreement…they’re now scared, being shot, getting killed. They are cutting off electricity. There’s limited medical attention because they won’t let hospitals treat the wounded ones unless THEY’RE POLICEMEN. Please guys, I know you don’t come to tumblr for this, I know you’d rather be scrolling through funny stuff and entertaining yourself- because that’s what I wish I could be doing- but I’m desperate for my people. In just 5 days we have lost our universities, our students, our rights. There’s no free speech allowed unless you’re kissing Daniel Ortega’s ass.

I don’t know what to do either. We just want this to end because we are tired, scared, in need.

As soon as I sat down to watch and saw Lucien Laviscount as Romeo make his way across the screen, a beautiful black prince in his gorgeous “fourteeth” or “fifteenth century” (because this show is all over the place with their costumes) attire, Medalion Rahimi as Princess Isabella looking like a QUEEN or Lashana Lynch and Ebonée Noel as Rosaline and Livia looking divine at the ball, I got a little misty eyed.
