it's cool how in the 6 years since this tweet was written it's become significantly less useful not because anything has gotten better but because the majority of products on Amazon are now from fly-by-night brands called "ZZPORK" and "GLUM4PANT"

Whenever they gave us one of those "read through ALL the instructions before you begin!" trick assignments in school where the steps lead you on an increasingly ridiculous goose chase until the final one tells you to just put your name on the paper and turn it in without doing anything else, I was always like, "Okay, but what's the point? Surely the REAL world won't be anything like this." And then I grew up and discovered that not only is the real world often exactly like that, some people won't even read the first line of the instructions even if they make perfect sense. And these people are called "co-workers"
The heartbreak I felt when I saw this and then learned the contest is limited to children under the age of 12
i hate when a clothing line is marketed "for demi-humans" and then all it has is a tiny tail flap on the bottoms and maybe a larger range of sizes. I could actually use tail flap for my pants but mine won't fit through the standard size at all
and don't get me started about how hard it is to find cute clothes for girls with wings. it isn't fair

It's so obvious these items are designed by teams with very little experience of the creature community, doing the bare minimum to gain kudos for inclusivity while not actually centreing the liminal experience. My advice is to seek out creature-owned businesses, especially those led by people with the same body types as you, as these tend to be more thoughtful about using real lived experience as a jumping off point for their designs!

A KGB agent goes to a library and sees an old Jewish man reading a book.
“What are you reading, old man?” he asks.
“I’m learning Hebrew, comrade,” replies the old Jew.
The KGB agent asks, “What are you learning Hebrew for? You know it takes years to get a permission to travel to Israel? You will die before you get one.”
“I’m learning Hebrew for when I go to heaven so I can speak with Moses and Abraham,” replies the old man.
“How do you know you’re going to heaven? What if you go to hell?” asks the KGB agent.
“I already speak Russian.“
There is a theory that watching unbearable stories about other people lost in grief and rage is good for you—may cleanse you of your darkness. Do you want to go down to the pits of yourself all alone? Not much. What if an actor could do it for you? Isn't that why they are called actors? They act for you. You sacrifice them to action. And this sacrifice is a mode of deepest intimacy of you with your own life.

a little girl came up to me when I was working on my mural & she said “did you color this?” and I said “yeah!” and she was like “wooow… I’ve never see a girl color before”
I don’t think that’s actually what she meant but I feel like a superhero. nevertheless she persisted. women in male-dominated fields (coloring)
girls can do anything actually, even color 🫵💪🫡
btw, my last day at the library is next Friday, so I have officially laid the last piece in here today! All that’s left is for me to seal it up
Let’s say you wanted to glue fabric to wood, but what do you use? What about glass to paper? This to That lets you choose two things you want to glue and lists what types of glue is best. (Because people have a need to glue things to other things!)
This is an incredibly awesome site. Go check it out!
Whhhhaaaaaattt!???
EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS
This is one of the first websites I was told about in props. It also has information about the toxicity, adhere time, price, and other stuff about the glues.
Useful for cosplayers and DIY!
I feel personally attacked.
[replacement for first link, which wasn’t working]
I went through the whole thing just to see what it said for each combination.
If you ever need to attach bone to something, go with wood on this site. It’s pretty close.
