You’ve got a very public-facing job. You are the singer that everybody knows. You are somebody that is spoken about whatever your intention is.
This is true. But also for every person that over analyzes her there’s a someone who will back her no matter what. Like, we could find out she’s a serial arsonist and somebody out there would be like “Yaaasss, my girl burning things down like a goddamn QUEEN!”

Why do these keep getting so brutal
Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
I am so dead trying to find a teaching job. Like, what else could I possibly do? I’m so far beyond all explanation that I don’t even feel angry or sad anymore. I’m just … here. This is what I’ve done:
1. Accepted to alternate certification program 2. Completed all training in two weeks 3. Passed EC-6 core subjects and ESL exams 4. Worked as a sub at two districts for a year 5. Did a long-term sub stunt for 6 weeks, where I ran the classroom on my own 6. Worked as a math tutor 7. Was promoted from math tutor to special Ed para after 3 weeks 8. Made an online profile 9. Made a physical portfolio 10. Applied for over 150 positions 11. Emailed all the principals for the 150 applications 12. Went on 14 interviews and counting 13. Sent thank you letters to my interviewers 14. Attended two job fairs 15. Called interviewers to check up on hiring status 16. Did everything short of busting into the school and demanding to be hired, because I am a sane and very patient person
But seriously, my job starts back up in 2 days and I’m dreading all the things people are going to ask me about why I failed at getting my own classroom because, well, I have NO IDEA.
