I don’t go on tumblr much anymore but I thought I’d still come one here since I this is probably the best place to ask.
I’m writing a My Hero Academia fanfic, it’s an isekai where someone possesses Hana Shimura’s (Tomura Shigarki/Tenko Shimura’s sister) body the day she got her quirk and a few years before the entire family dies.
In the beginning it is supposed to be kind of a found family thing, but depending on the advice I get on here the plot might change the genre-theme.
My question has to do with the quirks of Tenko’s bio family. Originally I started writing making up whatever quirks I wanted for them since the wiki nor the anime mentioned anything, (I haven’t read the manga). Then I found out Tenko’s original quirk, that plus Nana’s quirk I could give the rest of the family quirks that match the other two more. I could change their quirks, but it actually changes the story I planned so I can’t just replace them and plug the new ones in, I’d have to scrap all the work I already did and rewrite the whole story and give it a new ending too. It would be easier just to leave to story as it is, but I actually really like the alternative story and the quirks would make more sense. So I’ll let whoever comes across this post to choose for me, your participation is much appreciated.

Edit: I realized you can’t really see Nao’s quirks and you can’t see Tenko’s second quirk so let me explain.
Nao 1. Dreamer- she can let others see what she is imagining as long as she is touching them.
Nao 2. Glass- she can create small and simple constructs like cups or bowls, but they are clear and fragile.
Tenko 2. Cloud Surfing- an evolution of all his family members’ quirks, he can create an object to stand on and skate around on in the air. (I haven’t decided whether to make it look like a cloud or like mist to look like his grandfather’s helping hands or it to be a glass structure like his mother second quirk)
I know I’ve been gone for a while and didn’t post, but a lot of different things were happening and I kinda just forgot I published some of the chapters and people were expecting more. Why I’m posting this though is that I realized that only 12 people have read chapter 3 and 53 people read chapter 4. I don’t know why this is but there is context for some conflict between characters in chapter 3 so I think you should read it. I don’t want to post the whole chapter here, but I’ll post a bit of it here so you’ll be interested in reading the rest. This isn’t a true preview since this chapter is already out, but only a snippet of it is here.
True to his word, Blue’s training actually was fun! It was a little boring at first, Blue sounded like Donnie when he dragged Mikey around identifying different plants and animals, but soon it turned into a game. It was similar to eye-spy, Blue would say some vague description of a plant’s look and what it does and Mikey would run around trying to find it. It felt like a scavenger hunt as Mikey climbed up trees and dug in the dirt trying to find what was asked of him. After some time though, Mikey sat down next to Blue and felt all his energy drain from him as he tried to catch his breath.
“Wow, you really trained for three hours. I don’t think my Mikey could even do that.” Blue says with a chill but impressed inflection.
“Three hours?! It felt like only one!” Mikey gasps. Blue laughs and Mikey smiles.
“I like training with you, your the only one that seems remotely similar to anyone back home.” Blue admits, relaxing in the shade under a tree.
“How so?” Mikey inquires.
“You two are just a silly and outgoing in both worlds, your both fun people to be around.” Mikey’s smile shines brighter, sometimes his brothers seem annoyed when he’s around and it makes him feel bad, so for Blue, who in a weird way is his brother, to say something like that makes him feel better.
“What else is it like in your world?” Mikey asks with childish curiosity evident in his voice.
“Well for one thing, we live in a city, not a farm.” This makes Mikey laugh.
“We don’t live here, we live in the city too.”
“Really? The sewers, right?” Mikey nods in confirmation. “Just like my brothers and I, I guess that’s something we share across dimensions. Is your dad also-“
“A human turned rat?”
”A human that’s now a rat?”
They say in unison. “Jinx!” Mikey declares.
“We didn’t say the exact same thing.” Blue nudges Mikey’s arm teasingly, Mikey just laughs more.
Mikey can’t tell if it’s the feeling breeze outside and the sunlight on his skin, or if it’s just nice being with Blue, but there is a refreshing feeling around them, it’s comfortable and relaxing.
“If you live in the city, then why are you here? Where is Splinter?” Mikey frowns. He knows Blue doesn’t mean to upset him, but that doesn’t stop Mikey from remembering how he lost his city, lost his father.
“It was the Kraang.” Mikey says solemnly. Mikey barely notices as Blue tense at his words, but he continues. “The invasion happen too fast and we were all separated, and Splinter was-…. They found where we lived so the only thing we could to was run.”
“So they’re still here? There still in New York?” Blue asks, his voice sounds detached from emotions.
“Yeah, I don’t think there was any news of them reaching outside so I think they’re stuck or something.” Mikey pulls his knees to his chest.
“Is that why your Leo is injured?” Mikey only nods. There is a melancholy silence for a second.
“I’m sorry that happen.” Blue places a gentle hand on Mikey’s shell.
“It’s okay, soon we’ll get New York back. We just have to figure out how.” Mikey welcomes his touch, it’s comforting. He rests his head on Blue’s shoulder and Blue rests his on Mikey’s. It feels so natural to do, like they really are brothers.
Okay, so I realize it sounds a little T-cest like. I didn’t mean for it to come out that way. Other than whoever is reading my fic on Quotev, I only have 1 beta reader who doesn’t even like tmnt. They are the one who pointed it out and I’m kinda embarrassed. When it comes to other medias I have a wide range of interests, but when it comes to reading I usually read either crossover fanfics or romance novels. I’m just more use to romantic imagery, but that’s not the tone I was going for in the scene that I wrote in CH. 3. I’d going to keep this post up so you guys know that I’m working on it while trying to finish CH.5. Once I fix it, this repost will be deleted and the original post of the CH. 3 preview will be edited.

I just put a crossover fic on Quotev for people to beta read before I post on ao3. It’s called The Mark of a Leader and it’s about Rise Leo after the events of the movie, getting stuck in 2012 and teaching 2012 Leo how to be a real leader. I takes place after the Rise movie but during the farm arc in 2012. I have two chapters up to beta read right now, but I’ll also post the first chapter here to see if it’s something anyone would like to read it.
Ok, now here the first chapter! I’m not good at naming stuff, but I’m calling the first chapter “All About Leo”
LEONARDO
Leo stretches with a smile and let’s the warmth of the sun fill him with comfort. It’s been a week since he’s woken up and he’s finally felt good enough to start training again. He’s excited to start moving like normally, to feel like he’s doing something instead of just sitting down as life happens around him.
“Come on! Let’s get to it!” He shouts to Raph and Casey. “I’m feeling a lot better. Today I’m taking you both down!” He says with a smirk.
“Ha! In your dreams Leo!” Raph bites back, but of course there is no real venom behind it. Leo likes how Raph doesn’t treat him as if he’s weak and broken just because he was out of commission for a little while.
“Dude, the guy has been down for, like, ever. Cut him some slack. Okay?” Casey whispers. Leo overhears them but he doesn’t let it phase him. He takes a deep breath and positions himself in a fighting stance.
“Hajime!” Leo shouts, all three jump into action at his words. Leo strikes first and goes after Casey, his excitement making him more aggressive and taking the training opportunity to be on the offensive. Casey blocks Leo’s katanas with every strike until Leo knocks him down with a jump-spin kick. Leo turns to go after Raph, but then realizes Raph is already in front of him. Raph jabs his weapon forward but misses, leaving an opening for Leo to attack. However, when he stomps the ground to charge forward he feels a sharp pain in his knee and falls to the ground.
“No, no! Not again!” There is a bit of a whine in Leo’s voice as disappointment washes over him. He really did think he was getting better, but the pain in his leg just reinforces the fact that he won’t be able to be there for his brothers like he was before.
”Bro!”
”Leo!”
The two boys run to their leader with worry laced in their voices. They pick him up and try to carry him back to the house, but Leo groans in pain and makes them stop at the front steps.
“Just put me down here.” They do as told and wait to confirm that he’s alright. “It’s hopeless…”, Leo mumbles.
“Ah, come on, Leo. You just need to stretch it out!” Raph tries to encourage.
“You can still spar with us.” Casey reassures.
“-No!” The harsh tone makes the two flinch, caught off guard by it. “I mean…”, Leo sighs. “I’ll just hold you back.” He looks down and rubs his knee. “You guys train. I’ll….watch. It’s all I’m good for.” Casey and Raph look at each other and then back to Leo. They both look at each other, seemingly wanting to say something, though neither really knowing what, so they nod and walk away.
“Stupid leg, it’s never going to heal….” Leo clenches his teeth. He hates this feeling, the feeling of being useless, worthless. He knows he shouldn’t stress over missing one training session, but it’s not just one training session. It’s been a week since he woke up and he’s missed them all. Heck, he’s been asleep for 3 months and he’s missed all of those sessions too. He needs to train so he can be ready to fight. He’s already lost so much. His father, his home, his city. All he has is his friends and brothers, and he worries that he’s not strong enough to fight to keep them anymore.
He sighs and tries to hold back the building emotions from his mental spiraling. He wants to pray to something, ask for a sign to show him that things will get better or a miracle that will help him become strong again for the people he wants to protect, but he can’t rely on some impossible higher power to fix his problems.
Leo’s thoughts are interrupted by loud noises coming from the barn. Leo stands up using his sword as a cane with intention of investigating, but before he can take a step there is a blast of light and something is shot out of the barn. Leo hurriedly hobbles closer, but upon getting a better view he sees that the thing that came flying out was something he never expected. A new turtle.
APRIL
“Um, Donnie, is this thing safe?” April asks, eyeing the mechanic crown Donnie placed on her head.
“Absolutely!” Donnie smiles, clicking two battery clips before connecting them to his newly made tech. “Now let me adjust the straps and plug this baby in!” As lights flicker and sparks fly, April flinches when he turns it on, scared that the electricity would fry her brain. She gasps as the fuse flickers on and off, and Donnie looks a little embarrassed for a moment.
“Whoa, April! Check you out!” Mikey says walking into the barn. “Is that a tiara? I love tiaras!”
“It’s not a tiara. It’s a psychic neurotransmitter.” Donnie admits frustratedly.
“Whoa. That was my second guess.”
“Donnie salvaged it from the Kraang ship. He’s going to use it to test my psychic powers.” April explains as Donnie adjusts the power level.
“Cool!” Mikey smiles.
“Okay, starting….now”, the machine makes a loud repeating thump before stabilizing into a soft buzz. “You feel anything?” Donnie asks.
April sits for a moment trying to sense for something. “Hmm…mmm. Nope.”
Donnie turns a nob and listens for the change in output sound before hitting it. “Okay. How about now?”
April closes her eyes and hears sparks, then feels a tickle in the back of her brain. “Oh! That tingles.” Satisfied with her answer, Donnie continues with the test.
“Okay, April. Now focus on the card. Close your eyes and tell me what you see.” As April lets go of a breath and clears her head, Mikey leans over Donnie’s shoulder to see the picture on the card.
“I see….A sword!” Mikey winces at her failure.
“Ooh, so close. It’s a—“
“-Shh! You’ll spoil the test.” Donnie sends Mikey a glare and then turns to April with a new card in hand. “Try again.” April takes another breath, the feeling in her brain becoming a little more than just a tickle.
“I’m gonna say it!” Mikey whisper shouts.
”Don’t! You’ll ruin the test!” Donnie warns, sending him another look. All their talking and bickering is giving April a headache, more than it usually does.
“Is it a color? Like blue…or orange?” She guesses, but the visions in her head are blurry.
“No-“
”-Mikey!”
“What! I’m just trying to help!”
“Well stop. Being. Annoying.” Donnie’s tone makes Mikey step back, covering his mouth and giving April and Donnie a thumbs up. Donnie turns the machines power up by one notch and continues with the test, pulling out a different card. “Okay, this one should be easy.” Donnie chuckles and holds back a smile. Mikey leans over his shoulder again and sees that the card has a picture of Donnie’s face taped to it.
“It’s…” April tries to focus and push through the mild pain of her headache. “A turtle?” She asks, losing confidence in her answers.
“I’m mean, not exactly but your also not exactly wrong.” Donnie states.
“I don’t get it! These images feel so right, why am I getting them wrong?”
“Maybe it just needs more juice! She got closer to being right when you turned your thingy up!” Mikey suggests, but he doesn’t wait for Donnie to respond before reaching over to turn the machine’s nob up by 10 notches. Electricity dances around April’s head and she screams, her eyes now open and emitting a bright light.
“April!” Donnie attempts to take the tech off of her, but her powers surge and a force pushes both Mikey and Donnie to the walls of the barn. April heaves and tries to fight through the pain, but she can’t help but let a few tears fall as the sensation of needles digging into her brain pushes her to her limit.
When the power surge stops, all three pant and gasp for air when the pressure on their bodies releases.
“Mikey! What is wrong with you?!” Donnie shouts.
”I didn’t mean to do that! I thought it would help!”
”Stop helping and get out!” Donnie starts to push Mikey toward the door, but stops when he hears April start to panic.
“D-Donnie! Donnie I can’t see anything, why can’t I see anything?!”
“Don’t worry! I can fix this-“ Donnie’s hands are stopped from touching the tech when April grabs his arm.
“Wait! I see something! I-It’s not the barn though. Where is this?” Aprils says more to herself than to the two mutants.
“April, what do you see?” Donnie asks, gently grabbing hold of her hands to ground her.
“I-….I think it’s the lair? No, it’s different.” April feels a little nauseous, and a little scared about seeing something so vividly but that’s not actually in front of her. Mikey rubs her back, trying to comfort her after noticing that she doesn’t look so good, but April flinches at the sudden contact. “I see a turtle, I think it’s Leo but it doesn’t look like him. He has his mask but he looks slimmer and has red stuff on his face.” The turtles stomachs sink.
“Is it blood?” Mikey asks worriedly.
“No, it doesn’t look like blood. Maybe red marker?” April squeezes Donnie’s hands as she tries to look down at her own, but what she sees is someone else’s. “Oh my god!” She shouts in surprise.
“What! What is it?” Donnie asks, squeezing her hands back.
“I-I think I’m looking through somebody else’s eyes, and I think it’s a mutant turtle like you! When I saw my hands, they look like yours!”
“Whoa! Does that mean there are other mutant turtles like us out there?” Mikey asks excitedly.
“No, I think your seeing into an alternate reality. Your seeing a Leo, but not our Leo. Like when we saw through a couple of those Kraang portals and saw a different April.” Donnie says as he goes to take the machine off her head, but once again she stops him.
“Wait! I want to see more!” April smiles. “If you got to see an alternate version of me it’s only fair if I get to see an alternate version of you.” Donnie blushes when she admits she wants to see him, even if it’s a different version of him.
“Yeah, April! What else do you see?” Mikey encourages.
”I’m talking with Leo, but I can’t hear what he’s saying. Maybe trying to teach me sword fighting? He has his katanas out and he’s making a lot of hand gestures towards himself.”
“Can you see anyone else? Do you see me?” Mikey asks excitedly.
“No it’s just Leo and whoever I am. Heck, I might be you, Mikey.” April laughs, watching Leo do a demonstration of his weapon. “Whoa! I wish you two could see this! Leo just did magic!”
“Really?! Our Leo doesn’t even like magic! He said my card tricks were stupid!” Mikey pouts, wishing he could see for himself.
“It’s not that kind of-….” Aprils stops herself mid-sentence. “Wait, now I’m doing it too! I’m making this orange light with my hands!” April says excitedly, her hands starting to shake and mimic the person whose eyes she’s looking through. She wants to say more and describe what’s happening to Mikey, but she stays silent as she watches to see what happens next. She watches as Leo laughs and seemingly encourages her to continue. Her hands start to shake more violently and her circle of light starts to flicker. Leo grabs ahold of her hands and she squeezes Donnie’s hands again as she sees hers do with Leo. Her light and Leo’s slowly inch closer to each other until they merge together.
”Donnie something is happening!” April hears Mikey says worriedly.
“April, what are you doing?” Donnie asks.
“It’s not me, or at least I don’t think so. It’s them!”
“That’s it! I’m sorry, April, but I’m taking this off.” April doesn’t stop him this time, willingly allowing her eyes to see her reality. She is surprised to see the lights again, now in her own world. A swirl of blue and gold float in the doorway of the barn, curiosity beckoning April closer to the pulsating light. However, before she can walk toward it she hears a loud thud and the light dissipates. In it’s place, well more like a few feet away, is the same turtle she saw in her vision. It’s Leo.
That’s the first chapter! Here is a link to the story so you can beta read it I’m constantly updating chapters I’ve already published so when I write a new chapter you might want to reread the previous one.
I use to think that if Rise Leo and 2012 Leo met, 2012 Leo would show Rise Leo to take the fight seriously. But as I watch 2012 TMNT I reali
I know this account hasn’t posted anything in years, but I’m the only one I know who like TMNT and I need to talk about it and get some input for a fan fiction I want to write. Ever since I watched the TMNT Turtles Forever crossover movie, I have been trying to write a Turtles Forever sequel fic where 1987, 2003, 2012, and 2018 TMNT all fight in the Battle Nexus. This is where I need a little help. I can’t decide whether is should be set in the Rise universe with Big Mama running the Battle Nexus or the 2003 Battle Nexus.
On one hand, if it’s in the Rise universe then Big Mama is in charge. I would prefer if Big Mama was in charge because then all the turtle would have something to worry about. She’s the type to make a deal with the winning group of turtles, as in they get to go back home while the others stay and fight in her Battle Nexus. She would have three copies of her champion from Battle Nexus New York, and since she is the one that brought them to her world she would be the only one to put them back. This situation would put a lot of pressure on the turtles to win and would force them to see the other versions of themselves as enemies. If they see each other as enemies then it would be harder to work together to get all of them back to their own world, it would be especially hard to work with the Rise turtles because their existence is the reason why the others were there fighting in the first place, which is difficult because they would also be the only one to be able to send the other turtles back to their own worlds other than Big Mama. My problem with this is how all the turtles get there. Saying “Big Mama has a mystic device that can bring them there” seems lame because she would have no need to focus on the turtles, she doesn’t really have a need for revenge from them so her motive would be because of more people coming in to see the fighting.
One the other hand, the 2003 Battle Nexus is called that because it takes place in an actual Nexus. It a place between worlds and dimensions so it would make more sense for how they would be stuck in another world in the first place. During the actual fighting I planned on putting all of the different turtles into different fighting games and being in an actual Nexus between world would allow the games to be a lot more creative and not bound by the rules of one universe. However, I haven’t watched all of the 2003. I saw a few episodes, specifically where they sneak off and find Master Splinter at the Battle Nexus. Idk what Leo and the Daimyo’s son’s beef is, but he was sucked up into a rip in space so I can’t just be like “oh the new daimyo has beef with them so he takes all the turtles and forces them to fight” like with the Big Mama scenario, unless I say he comes back to kill his dad again and become the Daimyo but I honestly think he’s dead, so it has to be the original Daimyo. The thing is with that though is that the original Daimyo likes the turtles so he wouldn’t force them to come. If they were all just invited then they’d just fight each other like the rules of the tournament, all friendly like, so there would be no drama. Sure, I could write that there is a conspiracy like how it when before during the Battle Nexus episodes but then there would be no need for the other turtles. I could really stretch it and say there is a completely new Daimyo who either want revenge for the last heir or is such a huge fan that they kidnap a bunch of the turtle to make them fight, Collector from the ow house style were it’s some kid with too much power playing with them, but I’d just prefer not to stretch the lore too much. If it’s a good idea I’ll do it, but I doubt it is. I could just set it before the whole battle Nexus events but once again there would be no need for the other turtles if there is no beef, also I want the 2003 turtles to have meet the other turtles.
Ok so that’s the pros and cons of those ideas. Sorry if this is hard to understand, I kind of just wrote down all the junk I was thinking in the moment so my thought might see all over the place. I know I’m not a popular creator or anything, and not a lot of people care about TMNT crossovers, but whether you plan on reading my work in the future or not, the input would still be helpful. I like writing fan fiction and I plan on making this fic the first fic I post on ao3, my account has the same name as my tumblr. I’ll have more things I’ll need advice about like the winners of games and fights so if you actually interested in this fic follow my account. Ok, thank you! Bye!
At first I was torn between who to vote for. As much as I love Donnie, was he actually more of a mad scientist than Megamind, Princess Bubblegum, or Doofenshmirtz? So I thought about it. In the context of this poll, Mad means for them to be crazy or insane. While Megamind did do evil things he was really mad within the context he was just angry and misunderstood, which he grew from at the end of the movie. Bubblegum come pretty close to mad scientist. She created life and made herself princess which speaks to insanity, yes. But we’re not just voting for her, but for three people so we have to consider Doof too. Doof I originally thought was like Megamind and wasn’t mad but misunderstood because of his crazy backstories, and the fact that he never really means to cause actual harm to other people. At most just inconveniences.
So we have 2/3 is a no, but Bubblegum for sure is. Meaning we have to evaluate Donnie. Sure I could just vote him because I like him and the other option is 2/3 not even mad scientist like I just said. But does Donnie himself deserve it more than Bubblegum?
Donnie is a teenager and can do a lot of chaotic things, but when it comes to science all of his inventions have a reasonable function behind them. He has battles shells that make him fly, gives him extra arms, and one that is basically just SHELLDON. All of those have a reasonable function and helps him protected his soft-shell. If he was truest mad he would make machines that would function more to fuel his insanity like when Bubblegum creates more life to fuel her god complex and need to take care of something weaker than her. Sure at first it was because she was lonely, but then she continued to make an entire kingdoms worth and even kept a mini farm full of gummy people where she would cut them apart and glue them together. That is insanity. The only thing Donnie has made to that comes close to making him mad is his drill. It originally has no purpose other than to fuel his genius who and for hero poses, but in the end he used it to defeat his enemy in a fight to save his family.
So as much as I love all the other characters, people should vote Princess Bubblegum. Thank you for coming to my TED TALK.
