i'm insanely pampered by my princess because i'm really good at hunting, and of course i am. i'm the eighth dragon in my lineage bred specifically to hunt by one specific breeder, belonging to a heritage so good at it that it's illegal for anyone but nobility to own a dragon in my line

i'm one of the most expensive things in the castle. the princess has dozens of maids and servants but she attends to me personally because i'm too valuable. she takes me on weekly hunts, of course, but also lets me hunt the castle personnel as long as i don't seriously hurt them. i'm trained to be careful with my bite, and the maids i wrestle to the ground laugh and call me a good girl even though they're clearly terrified of me

i'm not large, especially for a dragon, but i'm big enough that the dragonry glove she wears so i can perch on her arm goes halfway up her upper arm and i knock her off balance a bit when i perch on her, and i can take down a human with ease. my claws are almost as long as her fingers and my bite force can crack leg bones in half. i get all the saved bones from the kitchen

there are ornate wood-and-brass perches all over the castle for me. she refuses to cage me, and i can just go where i want when i want to. the most ornate perch is next to her throne because she likes me to sit there as a silent threat while she negotiates with someone who knows i could maul them at a command from her
