Day 365: Pounded By The Peace And Contentment I Feel Around Someone I Truly Love
I was so happy to read this one as the penultimate tingler of the year. The beginning of it really encapsulates something I love about Dr. Tingle's approach to living concepts, something I've remarked on many times over the course of the year. He finds the sympathetic and desirable parts of challenging concepts, and as in the start of this tingler, the challenging parts of generally positive ideas.
The comfortable, years-long established relationship in this tingler is one I deeply relate to. A comfortable understanding that doesn't need anything flashy to sustain it, it thrives on home cooked meals and quiet companionship. At its best, a relationship like this seems effortless, but every relationship has some level of work required. Being completely relaxed around someone else also means being vulnerable enough to show your true self to them, and giving that level of trust to someone is not easy! The living object in this story manifests in a way that recognizes this truth.
People generally think of "working through" emotions when they're negative ones. It's rare to see positive feelings examined in the same depth. This tingler does just that, though, it explores comfort and intimacy thoroughly via the manifestation of the living concept, from the challenges to the pure joy that infuses the eventual pounding. It's all part of a complex and beautiful picture.
