The ONLY acceptable way to end ACOTAR season 1 is NOT with Feyre and Tamlin. It is to have Rhys return home, Mor, Cassian and Azriel are chillin’, and Rhys just winnows in and says “She’s my mate.”

That way, I get to see the casting for Cassian, Azriel and Mor in costume, getup, and CGI without guessing what they’ll look like in the next season. This also helps set up Feysand in the next season because if people go into Season 2 shipping Feylin without any doubts, it’s gonna be difficult to portray it in a show (the book gave us Feyre’s inner thoughts, a show can’t always do that).

Also, it’ll create the best sort of “tension” and anticipation because then we the viewers know the truth (unlike when we read the book) and so the entire time we’ll be waiting for Feyre to find out instead of being blasted apart with that Suriel scene ( I mean I love that scene. I screamed at that scene. But just imagine how messy we can get if the audience knows Feysand are mates before Feyre knows. I M A G I N E)

I've been thinking about what to say about it but my mind can't find any suitable words to describe how unwell I'm feeling. There's no excuse for what you've said. No. Excuse. No matter if you like or dislike character from books, tv shows or movies you do not have right to wish something so unbelievably painful and traumatizing on them. Using such events to build up your own ship is so disturbing and takes away from actual SA victims. Not to mention that Gwyn is one. Not to mention that Sansa's trauma was something that real women throughout history had to deal with. Not only that but it's still happening all around the world. Not only to women but also men. Please separate those things from reality and take a breather. You can dislike character and it's completely fine with me, however this behavior is disgusting and I won't tolerate such things. Ever!

so i just had a very enlightening conversation with my bff where apparently some idiot told her that gwyn and az can never be a thing because gwyn had been sexually assaulted and azriel is freak in the sheets so they aren’t compatible, so the obvious course is elriel. 

first of all, what makes them think elain could handle az? i mean no judging but elain blushed when she saw women wearing tight pants at a war camp. 

second of all, if gwnriel were to happen, why are they just automatically chalking up their relationship to just pure sex? i mean this isn’t nessain right here lmao

if gwynriel were to happen, their relationship wouldn’t just be physical, but hopefully go beyond that. 

they also just implied that since az is a freak in the sheets, he doesn’t want a SA person. which is disgusting, because why are we talking about az as if he was this horny mf 24/7? just because of one chapter? get over it. 

they talk as if Az isn’t capable of seeing a woman without wanting to fuck her, i mean in the little moments we see of him and gwyn, we see him be kind, and gentle and cautious with her, because he was the one who had saved her from sangravah. 

azriel also has women in his life who have been hurt by men, i.e. Morrigan, Feyre, Nesta, and his mother. what makes them think az would look at gwyn and only see her as a SA victim. 

it’s also disgusting to say gwyn cant be involved physically with someone because of that assault, as if her trauma defines her, and her future. 

honestly, make arguments about who you ship azriel with, but don’t stoop this low. they’re fictional characters yes, but fictional characters are also based on real events, real people who have gone through what these characters have experienced. 

if you tell someone that gwyn cant have a sexual relationship with a man because of her trauma, you’re essentially telling every SA survivor , that their trauma defines them and their body. 

do better.

I’ve seen lot of people getting really pressed and overly disappointed about Rhys’ behavior in ACOFAS- and I don’t understand why.

So, you’re telling me that if your significant other, the person you love most in this world was previously and somewhat recently involved with someone who caused them so much mental and emotional pain and damage, you wouldn’t be a little bitter and cold about it? Not to mention this is the same person who you thought you trusted a long time ago and they ended up helping kill most of your family- you wouldn’t be satisfied to see karma doing her thing? You’d just turn the other cheek and let it go that easily? Everyone expects Rhys be the bigger person, but not everyone can be all the time.

Also, how can you defend and understand Tamlin when he felt hurt and roughed up Lucien because they were best friends and Tamlin felt betrayed- but you don’t understand why Rhys was being cold to Tamlin when Tamlin betrayed Rhys in a much more horrible way that resulted in him literally losing his family when Rhys thought Tamlin was a friend and someone he could trust? We all know what happened. No matter when it did- it still happened (and I don’t even recall Tamlin ever showing any kind of genuine remorse or apologizing for that at any point in time, unless I missed something). What Tamlin did and helped his brothers and father do to Rhys’ sister and mother isn’t something Rhys would easily forget. We know that it still plagues Rhys and likely always will. Rhys isn’t perfect. He’s messed up. We know that. But who’s to say we wouldn’t react in a similar way he did towards Tamlin? I know I likely would. Especially when it comes to someone that I love and am very close to, my emotions get the better of me. No one intends for that to happen, but chances are, it’s going to happen. Yes, maybe Rhys could’ve chilled out a little bit but also he didn’t act extremely rude either, in my opinion. I probably would have done and said what he did. To be honest, Rhys could’ve done or said a lot worse considering the kind of heartache and pain Tamlin put Rhys and Feyre through. Truthfully, I pity Tamlin. But I also understand how and why Rhys reacted the way he did and I can’t say I blame him for it. It was a very realistic reaction to me. And who knows, maybe Tamlin could get some kind of redemption where he knows and realizes what he did was wrong and hurtful and tries to make a change. But any appearance or anything he said in ACOFAS were not an apology. *These are just my opinions and everyone can obviously have their own thoughts on the subject, but just to sum it up I think Rhys acting how he did was justified and understandable.*
