Christianity is supposed to be one of the most accepting and loving religions on the planet, Christ welcomed Eunuchs (Btw Acesexual people in Bible times usually got the Eunuch title) in the church with outstretched arms. Even Saint Thomas, the one Jesus told “Look at my hands, look at my side” was gay! Never once did Christ himself ever speak out against Homosexuality or any kind of gender identity, the only thing he ever did say about it was, again, welcoming the Eunuchs into the church.

i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3

unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it

i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map

i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs

this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.

crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.

Clothing company Patagonia is currently sueing drag queen Pattie Gonia for "irreparable” harm to their brand.

To be clear; Pattie named herself after the region in South America.

So Pattie is asking people to politely ask Patagonia to drop the lawsuit.

I'm extending the invitation to all of you, because sueing a drag queen for 'infringement' in the current political cultural landscape is vile. Especially a drag queen who has raised millions of dollars for non-profits, uses her platform to raise awareness for climate activism, and fully aligns with Patagonia's apparent climate-conscious mission statement.

They're claiming they're sueing for $1. They're actually asking her to stop using her name, and pay over $1 million in legal fees. They're straight up harassing her.

In contrast, drag queen Jan Sport has a Jansport bag line. It's that easy to just... work with a queen.

Anyway. Be respectful(ish), but feel free to be annoying on Patagnoia's socials, asking them to 'DROP THE LAWSUIT'

Patagonia is suing specifically for trademark infringement, and they're suing for the sum of $1. If they don't sue, then that means they could lose the trademark. They aren't trying to "silence" them or prevent them from using the name, they're specifically protecting their company trademark. They'd have to sue *anyone* who was using such an obvious knockoff of their logo; in this case it happens to be a drag queen.

I do think the thing muddying the discourse is that she's a beloved figure and not a faceless fly-by-night corporation. The point remains that this is, again, a trademark issue and not specifically the company targeting a drag queen.

Armor sets for my hunter Werner, part 2! 💚

I ended up taking a while to update, and there are even a few extra ones that I'll post later, heh

"Forge Outfit" This was my attempt to recreate Werner's original outfit, as close as I could get. (I like to wear it without a shirt underneath most of the time...)

"Iron and Sand" This is absolutely my favorite! I simply loved it. For some reason, the "desert" theme seems to suit Werner so well, the color palette complements it harmoniously. (And the tight-fitting outfit underneath is so provocative... I'm being weird here, sorry-)

"Bone Artisan" an experiment I would say, I mixed parts of Rey Dau with Odogaron and Gore. The white parts of Rey Dau look like bones, I found it quite interesting

"Gunlance of Guild" is basically just Olivia's armor with slight color changes. I love that armor; I'd love to see how Werner would look in it, heh. It's fun to imagine the two of them as hunters with matching outfits, like siblings

"Lapidary" another test with Rey Dau's armor, this time I paired it with the butterfly belt. It's crazy, it's so hard to combine these pieces, hah, but I tried

"Gunlance of Astrum" Oh, the Damascus armor is so... Glorious, elegant, I love it. With these colors, it looks wonderful

"Draco Guardian" One day I decided to dress him in the "female" armor of Odogaron... I intend to make an entire post dedicated solely to this set, especially its large backless design... Gorgeous

"Mossy Rock" I don't like Gravios' full armor, but the chest piece is great for combining with other pieces! I think it was the first more "rough" armor I tried to make for Werner

"Rathian Knight" This one turned out better than I imagined, mixing Rathian pieces with the battle set is incredible, I like the fur on the neck and the green scales, it's so beautiful!

"Brute Metal" Returning to raw armor, I used Doshaguma and Ajarakan pieces in shades of green and brown, quite unusual, and I'm enjoying it

I'm farming various monsters to get more armor pieces for Werner, it's a lot of fun, I plan to do many more 😁 💚💚

hi. so, my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer recently after a trip to the ER that ended up with her being admitted to the hospital for several days. technically, we're waiting on the results of the biopsy; in practice, everyone responsible for her care has made it clear what to expect.

my mom and i are not the kind of people who can afford her missing much work, let alone a long stay in the hospital and all the work she missed before that because of the cancer symptoms. we'll be availing ourselves of as much assistance as we possibly can, but we also really need any immediate help we can get to make up for the time she's lost at work and support us while we're waiting to receive assistance from the government/cancer orgs/etc.
