this is truth, and the vacuum of space will literally turn you inside out, i want to know how they figured that out…..or if you can find the video of the frog in a vacuum chamber i guess thats what they would assume…. also if you were to lay out your entire vascular system it could circle the earth 2 and a half times :D i love scientific facts will never use in any aspect of my life as a hairdresse/make up artist, im a walking snapple fact! Bill Nye was just SO ENTHUSIASTIC about the topic. You could tell.

For God’s sake, the man was trying to teach people about photosynthesis when asked what his favourite colour was. That’s a man that ADORES science and absolutely loves teaching people.

Suddenly, I was 12 and watching a Bill Nye The Science Guy episode at my grandma’s school while she was decorating the gym.

Our Galaxy: The Milky Way

The Milky Way is approximately 100,000 light years across, and about 1000 light years thick. As you can read from that site, a light year is 9.5 x 1015 metres. There are thought to be five hundred thousand million stars in our galaxy, which is quite a lot. Stars are defined as masses of gas and plasma that produce heat, light, x-rays, ultraviolet rays, and many other forms of radiation. 

Our galaxy is approximately 800 million to 13,500 billion years old. The milky way is what is called a Spiral Galaxy. We do not know the mass of the Milky Way thanks to our little friend called Dark Matter and Dark Energy.

Steve, What Does the fox say?

Foxes actually have a large number of vocalizations! Ever hear these sounds at night or during the day? Then you’ve heard a fox! Some more information can be found here.

Foxes in general are very interesting creatures. They use the planet’s magnetic fields to hunt.

That’s what this guy is doing.

There is a prey, probably some sort of small rodent, under the snow. He is using the Earth’s magnetic field as a sort of natural targeting system. This allows the fox to hunt prey it cannot see.
