happy decade to the horrible beast i have wrought
Just a casual reminder that posting on the internet about how you would want to do physical harm to members of the US government is something that they can (and will) detain you over, so just be careful what you say in public spaces like, uh, on Tumblr.
I have got bad news for you about how connecting to the internet works and how corporations will respond to requests from the government.
this is your semi-regular reminder that tumblr has cooperated with the fbi to hand over user information in a very public way at least once. and that's not the only way the feds can collect information on you either
doomscrolling tiktok together and I turn to you and ask, "why doesn't your algorithm recommend any videos with Black people?"
doomscrolling tumblr and I turn to you and ask, "why don't you reblog anti-racism when it makes you feel uncomfortable?"
This is your sign to take that sad windows user and turn her into a Linux girlie. It's just better for her and she'll be so much happier.
Oxygen² theme my beloved
I bring you an X230 for your consideration
woag... that's a weird ass laptop /positive it kinda reminds me of the thinkpad yoga's that lenovo sells, but older and cooler useless rating by me: 7,5/10, it looks awesome but that hinge would make my anxious

computer THORSTY, feed it 500 LITER BUCKET OF ABSINTHE
as a fresher starting in computer science engineering..
should I get a ThinkPad T14 or smth else ??
is this decision wise, Oh! great thinkpad-official ?
(i got nobody to ask, people keep recommending me gaming laptops.. i don't even play games)
Well that depends on what kind of work you want to do on your laptop. T series ThinkPads are the flagship series, they are pretty high quality, but not too expensive, so they're great for just about everyone. The t series is usually the type of laptop that gets bought by companies for their employees.
If you want something more macbook esque, the X and X1 series might be the one for you, they are light, thinner, and expensive, the X series has a slightly smaller screen and have low power options.
The P series stands for "preformance" (i think), they are beefy, usually runs hotter, thick, and powerful. Good if you want performance above all else.
The E and L thinkpads are the cheapest thinkpads and aren't the best quality, most people don't recommend them. If you're really tight on cash, you can get these, but most people suggest getting a different laptop in a similar price range.
2 in 1 thinkpads are tablets and laptops combined, the touchscreen can be flipped over 365° and it has an integrated pen. Good if love to take handwritten notes and you can draw on it. But most people don't use the gimmick after a couple of days (And also the ThinkPad T14 gen 5 and up is really repairable (especially gen 7) which is neat) Also i generally recommend getting laptops (or just devices in general) refurbished (or second hand) and installing Linux on them ;)
Hope this helps! :3
oh goodness thanks a lot that really helped
also, yes I'll be getting a refurbished one because I'm getting a good deal and it's gen 7
I will have to ask the store person if there aren't any administrative or BIOS passwords on the refurbished device because that might cause issues with Linux installation, ig
nevertheless, thanks a lot thinkpad-official 🙇🏻
have some cupcakes 🧁🧁🧁🧁
Your welcome!!!!!!!!!!! And thank u!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got bored and needed to get familiar with GIMP so I did whatever this is

Final(ish) form yall what do we rate the stickers chat?
@thinkpad-offical
8/10! All stickers on there are nice, but it slightly bothers me that at what angle some stickers are placed, and the github social coding sticker is upside down
(oh and where did you get those black and white stickers (yes ik some of them have other colors)? They look cool :3)
do not listen to the brand. You know what to do. Follow your heart
