Me when Joeās Story is a fascinating maturation in character and sound and a compelling reflection on the original album but all anyone wants to do is cringe at Will taking out the swears and being more overtly Christian.
#youāre allowed to not like it#obviously#have your opinion#yes Christianity has systemically caused a myriad of issues#yes many hateful people hide behind Christianity#but a Christian based faith for an individual we donāt know isnāt inherently tied to those things#itās almost as if people go through linguistic phases#and artistic phases#and this album displays that in a neat way#like from a different perspective weāve turned down the anger#weāre seeing through a different lens#thereās something raw and pathetic about saying wet instead of piss#I understand mourning a band when they take a direction you no longer resonate with#but the older works are still there#and dogging on them for making their desired art is :/#car seat headrest#how you fascinate me#joking only covers so much ground#I ā¤ļø discourse#just like be disappointed without being a hater idk man you can express negative feelings without being a dick about it
