do y’all remember usernames??? from back when every fuckin website didn’t need your email phone number home address social security number just to join/sign up for something?? when you could make website-specific accounts that weren’t linked to literally anything else??? they tried to boil us like a frog slowly switching to “username/email” and then just asking for your email. but I remember. I remember usernames.

after i made my wooden doll, i was musing about what other unusual materials i might use for a bjd. my partner suggested paper, and also gave me access to their craft paper collection -> i made this.

she is almost entirely made of paper & cardboard. the joints are wooden beads & worbla, because i did figure out a way to make ball joints out of paper, but it really was not worth the effort. all her limbs have tubes of rolled-up cardboard in them to keep the structure sturdy, and the origami flowers are glued around those.

this is extremely different from any doll i've made before, and i had so much fun working with pretty papers & figuring out how to turn them into a poseable 3d object.

Taylor Swift invited an ICE detention camp owner to her wedding

No she did not. Travis invited his childhood friend’s family, and the father of that family happens to have worked for a government contract agency that happened to be hired to improve conditions at a detention center after he stopped working there. They have also worked on NASA buildings and hospitals.

I can understand how and why this is something where emotions run high but you have got to look into things before you start spreading them and spreading stuff that is this defamatory + shouting it into peoples ask boxes to shame them.

What do all of your spouses childhood friends’ parents do for work? Is it your burden to know that? What do you have to say about every celebrity who has breathed near someone who knows someone who knows someone who once worked at a place that would go on to do something problematic?
