Low key sickfics in the homestuck fandom missed a lot of potential with the trolls being insectoid aliens, here’s a few examples

-Troll having a bad encounter with a fly cloud and having to get rid of the eggs on their skin later

-Troll being attacked by a wasp and having to take out the eggs lke a bullet wound

-Troll going to have lunch at human place and getting sick after eating the salad ‘cuz it had pesticides

-Troll getting sick ‘cuz the food had onion, garlic or aromatic herbs and having to get their stomach pumped

-Troll getting a bad case of mould (only annoying to them but potentially poisonous to humans)

-Troll dehydrating ‘cuz the deadly sun in Alternia made humidity a lot higher than on Earth and they don’t realize they need to humectate their chitin

-Troll getting bacillus thuringiensis and worrying everyone when they stop eating for days

-Troll getting a rash because they were in contact with a dog or cat treated for fleas

-Troll not drying correctly after molting or pupating and getting stains or deformities on their chitin

-I don’t know which insects can get black death Nuclear Polyhedrosis and/or cordyceps but yeah that would end up in angsty fics more than sickfics
