This is beautiful. I had forgotten about this. IT’s so telling. 1) You just KNOW Martin Freeman has actually said that to him before about one of these things. Maybe a sexiest man award. Maybe some screaming girls. You just know at one point they’re sitting on set and he’s like, “Ya know, Ben, I was thinking about this whole sexy thing of yours that I keep hearing about.” And Ben looks at him expectant. Knows a joke is coming and still he waits. Then Martin follows up with “I just–I don’t see it.” and Ben laughs and then Martin goes on. “I mean fine you got a nice set of cheekbones. Sure. And right your arse is…I suppose it’s not the worst I’ve ever seen. And I guess if I was forced to look at a body like yours it wouldn’t make me retch up my dinner, but really…just don’t see it.” And Ben just smiles… 2) No one was talking about Martin. 3)This whole set of humor/response….this is classic Martin. This is learned behaviour from Martin…how to deflect a question…which is probably why he brings up Martin. I just LOVE this gifset. Freebatch is so real and beautiful.
