oh, this is nice
uh yeah that scene between peter parker and tony where he’s all like “mr stark you won’t believe what happened” and tony looks at him with those eyes and hugs him and peter goes “oh this is nice” yeah that scene broke me.
Avengers Endgame (2019)
Endgame Spoilers
Am I the only one who really wants Happy and Aunt May to get together and the three of them be super close family friends with Pepper and Morgan?
putting this on here as well as my twitter so everyone can stop using those stupid ass hashtags
Cap what you doing?
Cap has really missed some opportunities. He could have had the perfect March Madness bracket. He could have invented the iPhone. He could have written the script for Star Wars. But no he’s gotta go and be all noble.
I cant believe steve checked out his own ass like I love a man with confidence
Me, staying through the credits every single time I see Endgame: just in case :)
Can we talk about Quill though? The woman he loves dies and he’s full of so much grief and rage, he loses his mind. He doesn’t think, only acts, and next thing he knows, he’s being dusted because damn it, they lost.
Then, he comes back and he’s faced with Gamora. The happiness and shock he must have felt thinking the woman he loves is back from the dead must have been great; only to have her attack him and not know him.
Imagine how broken Quill probably is.
End game
That rat in avengers end game is the real MVP!!
Me, realizing Nat and Clint get to team up to retrieve one of the infinity stones: :D :D :D :D :D
Me, realizing they're in charge of getting the soul stone: D: D: D: D: D:
I’m gonna miss you, buddy. It’s gonna be okay, Buck.
Endgame spoiler!
I can’t believe the big 3 are done. Thor with no path to follow but the one he builds. Cap who got his happy ending and is basically dead. Tony who sacrificed himself for the greater good, mind finally at peace. I’m sad.
Mood = the whole cinema clapping when Steve Rogers picked up Mjolnir
Endgame Spoilers! I totally can’t encompass everything that went through my head during Endgame but here goes...
- THANK YOU RUSSOS for not skimming over Nat’s death. It was so intimate and heartbreaking. I cried so hard that the little kid next to me whispered “don’t be sad, it’ll all be okay if we get the time stone”
- Natasha at the bottom of the cliff was lying in the same position as Gamora had...
- Joe Russo in Cap’s support group...yass
- I dig Nat’s hair
- I also dig Captain Marvel’s hair
- CAP LIFTING MJOLNIR. I knew it too, Thor. I knew it too
- Tony and the stones. That is all
- Thor’s braided beard gives me Lord of the Rings vibes
- We thought “I don’t want to go, Mr. Stark” was bad. We weren’t prepared for “please don’t go, Tony”
- If Cap took Mjolnir back in time with him, where is the hammer now?
- When Wanda attacked Thanos I screamed
- Guys Thor’s change isn’t just comedic relief. He’s been through a lot
- So Peter just “passed out” and woke up and it was five years later...we all thought they went to the soul stone
-Peter hasn’t aged in those five years. He’s still in high school. Ned is too...Ned got dusted
- Bruce and Nat deserved so much better
- When all our favorite girls rallied around Peter
- Valkyrie on a pegasus. Can I get a yass Queen
- I miss Vision
- Steve gave the shield to Sam instead of Bucky because Bucky has been forced to fight for decades and is so tired
- I died a little inside when I saw the photo on Peggy’s desk
- Thor with a weapon in each hand was legend. What an icon
- Peter was searching for Gamora at the end. Did she get dusted when Tony snapped?
- The early stages of Ant-Man developments in Hank Pym’s lab
- If Gamora from before Infinity War showed up, why couldn’t they go back and get Natasha from before she fell?
- I want to know more about what Clint was doing in those five years
- When Loki mocked Cap
- Harley Keener, I missed you bud. (Did Pepper invite him to the funeral?)
- There will never come a day when I stop saying “I love you 3000”
- When Pepper cried
- Winter Soldier would be so crazy different in the seperate reality now that Hydra thinks Cap is on their team
- That scene where they all came through Strange’s portals. Cinematic brilliance
- Natasha and Clint on the cliff v. Thanos and Gamora was such a good parallel because now we know what true sacrifice looks like
When Infinity War came out, when I saw Gamora’s death on screen, I was under the assumption that it was used solely to try and make Thanos a more sympathetic villain. I was appalled and disappointed that she was alone when she died, barring the man who murdered her, who abused her all her life and dared call himself her father.
But when I saw Natasha’s death on screen, I knew that it wasn’t the purpose at all. Gamora’s death was meant to show us how wrong it was, how delusional and self involved Thanos was. We weren’t meant to sympathize with him because he “had” to kill his daughter for the good of the universe. We were meant to be angry. It was meant to solidify Thanos’ place as the irredeemable villain.
Because when Natasha died, she had to fight to do it. That scene between her and Clint showed us true sacrifice. They were willing to die themselves, but they weren’t willing to give each other up. They sacrificed more than Thanos ever could. Both Gamora and Natasha deserved better, deserved so much more than what was handed to them.
There was a point to it all. Those scenes mirrored each other in a way I wasn’t expecting.
