@tips-for-depression
It would be so nice if people could stop saying “did you forget your meds today?“ Or “keep taking those meds” about someone who seems to be struggling.
It is not funny. The people that hear that, including the person intended, are probably working very hard on whatever the issues happen to be, and meds are a very effective way of dealing with this.
Making fun of this only discourages people from trying. It makes them feel further stigmatized for dealing with an affliction in a healthy way. So stop it with the “I wonder if she took her meds today” type jokes. They hurt and they are not funny.
And they make you look like a bigoted asshole.
“It’s no about being fully healed and then starting your life. It’s about embracing healing as a lifelong journey while allowing genuine connections to organically emerge along the way.”
— Yung Pueblo
“If you planted hope today in a heart that felt alone, if you caused a laugh that chased some tears away, if someone’s burden was made lighter because of your kindness, then your day was well spent.”
— Healing Hugs
“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change.”
— Wayne Dyer
“Things I know about healing: Speaking kindly to yourself helps a lot.”

I think this should be known
Be Kind 🙏😉
I am not what happens to me, I am what I choose to become.
The most powerful way to combat anxiety is to consistently work on building your resilience and mental strength. "Along the way, you'll learn to appreciate or even welcome certain kinds of mistakes for all the new information they bring you," says neuroscientist Wendi Suzuki.
1. Visualize positive outcomes 2. Turn anxiety into progress 3. Try something new 4. Reach out 5. Practice positive self-tweeting 6. Immerse yourself in nature
