Rituals for wellness: I recently discovered the power of hugging trees (yes, I also thought I was losing it) thanks to a very dear friend of mine. I felt like I'd been given a shot of something👀- this Birch tree gave me life! Best 'drug' ever so now I reckon once a week I will go and hug a tree as part of my wellness rituals. Rituals for clarity. I used to burn sage but have recently discovered palo santo wood👌🏿.Clears the 'air' and smells great as well- part of the citrus family and has sweet notes of pine, mint and lemon. Today I give thanks and honour my body for all of the things it allows me to do. The past 2 months have taught me that it's okay to rest, to do nothing and to not get caught up in the 'productivity' trap. A New Day

I finally decided to celebrate mornings.; To embrace and salute each new day. Not because my hands finally stopped wanting to reach for and hit the snooze button for the 9th time in succession. No.

And not because i suddenly discovered a magical stash of energy. I didn't.

I finally decided to celebrate mornings because it dawned on me that each new day was an opportunity given to start over, to acknowledge yesterday and to hope for tomorrow. I now wake up and meditate upon all things i hope the day brings; living intention. If mornings are a not the easiest for you i recommend writing down your goals for the next day just before you go to bed at night. Allow your mind to give your body a reason to wake up in anticipation of fulfilling your goals and step closer to your dreams.

I finally decided to celebrate mornings and my body caught up.

I've spent most of the past 6 weeks in bed, in front of my laptop...also on Netflix, watching docus of course (maybe not entirely). Indoor climbing/bouldering• How to balance out a duvet day. I try and go climbing twice a week or so and it really helps with my mobility and strength, plus it's such a mental challenge and loads of fun. I also get to work on my fear of heights at the same time. Win win. Exercise is an important part of my sense of health and wellbeing and I try to forgive my body and not focus too much in body shape etc. As long as I know I'm eating well and getting enough exercise, I'm learning to be happy with whatever shape that manifests physically.
