āDeep down, every woman wants hundreds of babies. Itās natural. Youāre just trying to fool yourself.ā
People have died from horrific internal injuries caused by coat hangers trying not to have a baby. Can you imagine what that must have been like? To die that way - shredded apart inside. How frightened of the future must a human soul feel to risk consequences like that? People have thrown themselves from cliffs, off buildings and in front of trains rather than have a baby.
Some people very dearly want children, as many as they can.
But thereās always a limit.Ā
After a certain number of children, other factors become more important. They might be economic factors - āCan we afford to care properly for four?ā - or they might be emotional - āWill we have enough time to dedicate to them all?ā - or perhaps even physical factors, or ecological, or it just feels like āthatās enoughā.Ā
But in every single case, there comes a point where other factors outweigh the desire for children.
For some people, that kicks in at two children. Three children. Six children.
For some, it kicks in at zero children.
Women arenāt cattle. We make complex decisions based on our perception of our circumstances and our prospects, just like men do. For some women, they analyse their surroundings and decide that a baby would fit very nicely into the situation - maybe even a few babies. For others, we look around, weigh everything up, do some thinking, and decide that for us itās not a smart move.
Then there are people who find themselves pregnant, and frightened, and their analysis says that a violent death under the wheels of a train is the best course of action they can take.
And Iāll pre-reject the idea that,Ā āGiven sufficient material resources, every woman wants hundred of babies.ā As my material resources increase, so does my desire to spend them on new experiences, new adventures. Even if I imagine a life with an enormous house, three nannies, the fees for a private school, and all the disposable income my children could ever eat, I still donāt think it would be smart. I look at a scenario like that and start imagining my own business, maybe flying lessons, maybe setting up a charity. Not children.
So, simply put - itās not true.Ā
And as a future tip, try and treat women like weāre just female men - rather than walking sex toys and incubators. Youāre likely to get on with us much better.
this is the worst fuck up in the history of fuck ups and my aunt drove her van into a house because a leaf hit her windshield
Fuck you expectations
So you know what really pisses me off, when i tell somebody i donāt want to birth children, iām not saying i donāt want kids or to adopt or have a family iām literally just saying i do not want to sacrifice my own body for 9 months go through so many permanent and temporary changes thats are uncontrollable and painful, to then finally loose all control of my body for hours or days of excruciating pain in front of strangers while they all stare at my privates becoming mangled and ripped. Shit, blood and gore coming out of me and i loose any sense of privacy and dignity whilst the love of my life who has done this to me just watches me.
This is something you can literally die doing, something which changes your body your life your mind. I do not want to do that to my body? I shouldnt have to, shall we ask a man if he wants to rip his penis in two while a load of strangers stare at him and his wife just sits and stares at him crying with his face contorted in pain? No you wouldnt so why is it so hard to understand that i do not want to do it?
Stupid comments like oh but dont you feel bad for those who are infertile and want kids. Well my answer is yes i feel bad for them because its unfortunate but what does that have to do with me? Nothing! Not a thing! I dont feel bad for not wanting to risk my life and a fuck tonne of negative uncontrollable stuff happening to MY BODY, MY body. I dont feel bad to not contributing to an over populated world. So why ask?
Do you feel bad for having legs and not being a marathon runner because iām sure theres people with no legs that would love to run! Or because you have eyes and arent a painter? What about the fact you have vocal cords but arent beyonce? Shut the fuck up. Thats how pathetic you actually seem. Do men feel bad that women cant piss standing up? The list goes on
My bodily choices have nothing in the world to do with infertile people. They are my bodily choices.
Women are not human incubators and being pregnant is a choice not an expectation.
*cracks knuckles* time to overshare about my mental health on tumblr dot comĀ
It always comes down to this
I always find myself sitting here battling an impending sense of doom that preceeds the inevitable panic attack. Sometimes I can go a day. Sometimes I can go a month. It never fails however to find me. Iāll always find a reason to jump to thinking Iām dying or pregnant. I donāt think Iāll ever get better.
Health anxiety is ruining my life
Since I was born I can remember having genralized anxiety. It was barely noticeable and completely manageable....until about 4 years ago. It seemed like over night I had full blown uncontrollable, unmanageable health anxiety. I can't pinpoint any one thing that caused it, but I can beak it down into these nice clean minute particles. I know it's because I'm afraid of dying or being a burden. I know I'm afraid of not being able to take care of myself and people taking pity on me. Even knowing all of these things, I don't know how to fix it. I can't seem to learn how to cope. How do I cope?
When youāre limping around because your hips or knees are acting up and someones like āaaaaww what happened?ā And youāre there just like āā¦well I was bornā
RANT: WHY THE FUCK IS..
āIām afraid of insects/clowns/thunder storms/the darkā a valid fucking fear but me saying Iām terrified of ever being pregnant and growing another being inside of me and then pushing it out of my vagina is not a valid fear?
SOMEONE FUCKING TELL ME.Ā
This is a good question
Hey you! Yeah, you
Here something to help with your anxiety. 1.Why are you worrying? 2.What's the worst possible scenario involving your worry? 3.Think of all the different things that will impact this outcome. Make a list. 4. From that list write down all the things you can control. 5.Make a plan about how you plan to take action that is within your control to solve the worry. 6.Remind yourself that everything else is not in your control, no matter how much you might want or need it to be, and need to be let go.
You wake up every morning to fight the demons you fought the day before. And that, my dear, is bravery.

Phobias
I think our phobias, anxietyā¦.things like that are because we crave control. We encountered a situation that we couldnāt control and it scared us, so we created a situation we can. Our obsessionsā¦.our phobiasā¦our anxiety. We canāt change situations, but we can control our pain.
Unwell
It never gets any easier. Being sick, mentally. Diseases like hypochondria, OCD, dymorphia....it never gets easier. You just learn how to cope. Some days are better than others. You can go longer between episodes but each moment of panic, once it sets in, is just a awful as the last. It doesn't matter if its been 2 hours or 2 years or 20 years. When it hits you feel it.
I am sick
I know this, but not sick like I have a cold or a virus. My mind is sick. It attacks me at the most inappropriate times, and everything is a symptom. Every normal and abnormal thing my body does and experiences means I'm sicker. I'll never be completely well. Like an addict, I'll always be in recovery. I can't stop my mind from reacting this way, but I am teaching myself how to overcome it. I'm sorry for the ways this affects you. Know that I would stop if I could. If you know someone who has hypochondria please understand they aren't doing this for attention. They are sick and need your continued support.
