SEBASTIAN STAN as BUCKY BARNES CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR THUNDERBOLTS*
A perfectly natural heterosexual black swan couple raising their cute fluffy babies together as God intended <3
SIKE
THEY'RE GAY
And they're not some rare exception to the rule, either!!!
About 25% of black swan couples consist of two swans of the same sex (typically, two males).
These couples will court each other, build a nest, and raise their young together in a more-or-less committed monogamous relationship.
In fact, these same-sex couples have a high success rate of 80% when raising their young to adulthood, as opposed to the 30% of their heterosexual counterparts! Two big buff papa swans are better than one when it comes to stomping on invaders of nesting territory.
"But," I hear you say, "where do their baby floofballs come from? Does mpreg exist among black swans?"
Alas, no, but there is a very elegant solution to this. The swan couple may simply temporarily associate themselves with a female swan.
Afterwards, the female swan deposits their eggs and swims off free to live her single girlie life if she wishes (or, find a boyfriend. Preferably one who isn't already committed to another boyfriend.)
So whenever someone commits the naturalistic fallacy "homosexuality bad because unnatural >:(" I like to point out not only their glaring illogicality, but also, respectfully, there is homosexuality happening in the local lake right now.
This concludes my Ted Talk on gay swans.
My eyes adore you ââÜ
The incompetence is the plan. Corporations need regulations lifted and penalties eliminated.
The conservatives inability to criticize their daddy figure or white supremacy is the fascist pathway towards authoritarianism.
It's horrible, absolutely horrible that we lost Sam Neill. But there's something kind of healing about the fact that we're all grieving AN ACTUALLY KIND AND WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING.
No performative bullshit, just love.
RIP Sam. I fell in love with you when I was a teenager watching The Hunt for Red October, and stayed in love through Jurassic Park and all your amazing movies and TV shows.
And having cancer the same time as you kinda made me feel a bit less horrible, if that makes sense.
I'm so sorry the world has lost him.
My tribute to the late Sam Neill, amazing actor and human being âĽď¸
Sam Wilson is Captain America.
Fuck MCU Steve Rogers.
You know that whatever character did those problematic things isn't like. Real, right?
You are aware that a fictional character is just a rhetorical construct designed to fulfill a narrative/thematic purpose right? That their actions are written by an author who wants to use them to explore complex ideas and moral gray areas within the safe confines of fiction right? That they aren't a real person who has killed real people right?
Do you think authors need more than just the dead dove tag to properly warn people of what's to come? For example, should I label my works "dddne because of *this* triggering topic" or is the dead dove tag simply enough?
dead dove tag alone doesnât tell anyone anything. like. at all. dead dove means âyou have been warnedâ, but if you donât tell your readers what youâre warning them about, theyâre not gonna know what the content of the fic youâre warning them about is. is it non-con? is it violence? is it gore? theyâre not going to be able to know it. dead dove tag is supposed to be used to emphasize the actual warning tag(s). itâs not supposed to be used as a standalone tag.
that said, most writers donât use âdead dove: do not eat because of xyzâ. how itâs commonly used is âdead dove: do not eatâ as one tag, and then different tags that tell the audience about the actual warnings.
for instance, âdead dove: do not eatâ, âblood and goreâ, ârape/non-conâ, etc
oh poor bucky is gonna see his dead ex boyfriend steve and have a conniption
he wont even live long enough for the extra therapy heâs gonna need
maybe itll get him to stop fighting with his boyfriend sam
