man i will say though i think they did joyce and hopper goddamn dirty this season like their dynamic has never been antagonistic or even playfully nasty? i’m rewatching from the beginning right now and the gentle, gentle, so gentle way hopper talks to joyce, listening to her whole story and taking it seriously and asking her questions and not calling her crazy and then saying, “after sarah, i saw her, i heard her, too, i didn’t know what was real” … where the fuck was that energy
